The Final Coat

Description of Work: I just wanted two 11 X 11 bedrooms painted, with all trim, ceiling and wall colors one color with one accent wall in each room and their quoted price was $2,500. I ended up getting both rooms painted for a fraction of that cost by using someone else.

Description of Work: Ted came out to do an estimate for painting the exterior of our home. He is an engineer by training, and his attention to detail and understanding of structures and materials came through loud and clear. He is a true professional. We received the most detailed proposal I have ever received for any job, including photographs, detailed descriptions of each task to be performed, and detailing on all materials to be used. He saw issues with our painting job that we did not see. He was also equipped to deal with some algae/mold we had on our roof shingles and a gutter/flashing problem that was contributing to the soiling of our paint. He has a strong knowledge of what is needed and how to remedy it. I am sure that if we had accepted his bid we would have had a perfect painting job and would have been very pleased. We did not accept his bid because we have some other pending expenses and had to go with a lower bid. The other bid was significantly less (and from another Angies List Super Service award winner). The other bid was not as detailed or refined, but we felt it would be adequate and we had to be cost conscious. Wish we could have used Final Coat, but for this job, we did not.

Description of Work: Ted, the owner of Final Coat came out to give an estimate. My house is about 15 years old and hasn't had any of the caulking or exterior trim painted. His estimated seemed fair. Usually one gets what they have paid for. I called them because of the excellant score that they had on Angie's list and the good reviews. They are supposed to start next week, 10/15/12. Will write another review on the work preformed.

Description of Work: Four years ago, the prior painting company owner did not do a satisfactory exterior paint job. New owner took one look and offered a complete redo for free. This new owner really cares about their reputation and has an amazing desire to satisfy. Highly recommend.
