It never went one of the most unprofessional painting companies I have ever dealt with and I’ve been in commercial Real estate for 35 years not only did they cancel my appointment five times then decided on the sixth time that the building wasn’t up to their standards to paint it’s a beautiful building that just needs a paint job stay Away from this company

I did not get a response of any kind from this vendor. Not very business like. If you don't want the job, just say so. Don't ignore the customer.

Earlier evaluations of others were very good. Carpentry was apparently not of interest or main skill, but the distance from his work base was likely his main challenge. I did the work myself.

In truth, there were some probems the first time around. The painters got a lot of paint spots on our new screens. They tried to remedy it with painting the spots a grey color to conceal it with the screen color. This only left dark spots on the screens. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time. It is how one handles the mistakes in life that matter. This company replaced my screens and I am satisfied. The people are very nice. We will be hiring them to do more inside work, as we recently purchased a home that needs interior painting. The owner explained what happen in our situation and took the necessary steps to correct the problem.

A representative visited our home and we discussed the options of work to be done that I wanted quoted. One quote came back and it was higher that I wanted to spend. When I asked about the quote I received a very long mansplain (and I'm guy!) email about how if they quote too high they lose business and if they quote too low they lose money...and etc. I followed up with a simple question whether they'd be willing to quote a smaller job and I got... crickets... no response. This has caused us to lose valuable time before moving into our new house.

I was very pleased. They came out and provided an estimate, which I thought was reasonable. We scheduled the work for about a month out. They always showed up promptly, told me what they were doing that day, and reviewed at the end of each day. On the final day, I went around the house, and pointed out little spots that needed touched up. They corrected them. A couple weeks later, the molding pulled away from the garage door. They came out the next day and reattached it with heavier nails. I would definitely recommend them.

From start to finish The Final Coat was incredible. Their pricing is competitive. All points of contact were polite, professional, and responsive. Our crew leader Davey was fantastic. Kept us informed, asked and cared about details, made sure things got done right the first time. As expected, for a job this size there a few spots that needed touch up/re-applied, they had a crew out and got everything done to our liking. Cannot say enough good things. We will certainly add them to our short list of preferred contractors and openly recommend to our friends to use The Final Coat for their painting projects.

The Final Coat completed the project on time. The decks look great. We will call them again when it is time for a refresher.

Not well. Company phone receptionist stated she could not get a person out to provide a quote for over approximately 2 weeks.

They did a very thorough and professional job and were also pleasant to deal with.

I did not have any work done because there was never a follow up.

Ted Wetzel came out to give a quote and was both kind and professional. He not only quoted the job, but took his time to offer his expertise regarding other issues which I wasn't expecting.

Lucus and his team did an absolutely terrific job - the kind of work they did are the reason we always go with the Final Coat - they aren't the cheapest, I do believe they are the best. We had some minor miscommunication on extra work that needed to be performed but everything was resolved without incident. Ted kept in touch as well to make sure everything went going well. The team removed wallpaper, chair-rail, carpet edges and associated tack strips (we were going to have all carpet removed, but didn't get to it in time). They scraped and prepped a LOT of trim that had had oil paint applied with no primer sometime in the 80's and so was chipping off. They repaired innumerable cracks and just plain ol' holes in the walls and ceiling. The walls and ceiling now look fantastic - three bedrooms and a stair/hallway are now presentable. Would like to also add we had a color consult with Jennifer Miner at the Final Coat that went swimmingly - really appreciated her thoughts and input. She very much simplified color choices.

The communications with the foreman were excellent. We always knew the schedule, and the projected timeline.

The painter was prompt, congenial and very careful. He matched the color we wanted perfectly. We have hired Final Coat in the past and would certainly do so again.

The job went excellent. I was given a quote and start date. The workers were top notch. Very polite and professional. They arrived on time and always cleaned up after the work day was over. The cost was above some other quotes, but to me well worth the quality of the work. My house looks like new. Will hire these guys again when the house needs another staining.

Have had work done by Nathan with Final Coat before and was very happy. This time it went very well also. Very professional, easy to work with, and will take as much time as they need to do the job right. Will continue to use this company for future work.

We are very happy with the results of the painting done on our home. The process started with the color consultation which was very helpful to us. The colors we selected give the house a new, more formal image. We have gotten compliments about the appearance from neighbors and passers-by. That’s a relief because no one wants to make a big mistake on something like house color. You don’t re-paint the next week. Neighbors have inquired about my level of satisfaction with The Final Coat. The quality of the work is outstanding. I am a perfectionist in every way but particularly when it comes to my home. I am pleased. I can find nothing to criticize. I attribute the exceptional outcome to Abraxas Romero, the crew leader. He was one of the most committed, hardest-working man I’ve ever encountered. He was professional, friendly, driven, very communicative, and insisted on perfection. His attention to detail matched mine. He insisted that the job be done correctly and thoroughly.

Final Coat of Hudson came out to assess the damage and give an estimate for the repairs. We accepted the estimate and scheduled right away. They arrived on time and finished in one day. They matched the paint perfectly from a chip, sanded, spackled, and painted and finished one wall and the whole ceiling. Very professional job and perfect clean-up.

It went well. The people were very nice. The final cost, however, was more than 25% higher than the estimate. I did add a couple of small areas. The person in charge quoted $35.00, leading me to believe each addition would take an hour. That was the winter hourly rate. He actually billed me for more hours than 1 for each addition. I thought the number of hours was a lot in total. If the job was to take longer, the estimate should have reflected that. The price in the end would have been a deal breaker. I didn't choose someone else because I thought I would save $2000.00. In fact I paid more. The company kindly agreed to split the difference of the overage with me. I thought one of the people wasted time during the day, and never missed an opportunity to take a short cut if he could get away with it.. Overall, the team was lovely and my house looks beautiful.

I used the Final Coat for a full house paint and carpentry repair for a rental property. To be clear, the house was in dire need of a paint job, and had a decent amount of wood rot. This was a difficult job to a) complete and b) price out. In fact, I solicited multiple bids, and while Final Coat wasn’t the least expensive, I had great faith in their ability to get the job done well while treating me fairly. I made a great choice. Ted and his team finished on time, and the final job was done extremely well and professionally. Even better, my gut instinct that they would treat me fairly was validated. They uncovered a few items after they started the work that would require a little more budget. They communicated these to me, explained what was going on and why it was necessary. However, there was one item that slipped through the cracks, and Final Coat called me and worked through a solution we were both happy with. At the end of the day, I received a great final product, on time at a fair price. I couldn’t really ask for more than that. They are responsive, and treat their customers well. I would use them again and recommend to friends and family. I am also looking forward to the free touch-ups that are included with their service!

The guy they sent out was here for about 1.5 hours, an hour longer than anyone else who came to give estimates. He said he had been in the lawn care business before which may explain why he didn't seem to know what he was doing. We called this company with high expectations because they had good ratings on Angie's List. It was a big waste of our time and it's frustrating. It makes you wonder about the qualifications of the people doing the work.

I moved into a new house and was confronted by my home needing an exterior painting face-lift. My home dates back to the 1920?s and showed signs of many years of wear and build up of paint. The build up of paint in some areas resembled alligator skin. I wanted to remedy the peeling and alligator skin build up without loosing the character and charm that original wood siding gives an older home. I headed to the Internet and was fortunate to come in contact with The Final Coat. I was quickly setup with an appointment for an assessment of my project. I met with The Final Coat owner/manager Ted Wetzel. Upon a timely arrival, Ted started to inspect the exterior of my home and at same time asked me questions about my expectations for the project. I expressed my desire to deal with the years of paint build up and damaged areas of the homes exterior. I was presented with a large knowledge of different products and methods to combat issues with the exterior paint conditions of my home. Upon coming to an understanding of my goal and what it would take to reach it, Ted quoted me a fair price. The amount of surface prep and man-hours associated with doing a professional job correlated to the quoted price. I am a veteran and first time homeowner who had recently relocated to the area. I would not be able to afford his services, but was against trying to shop for a potentially lower priced unprofessional company that would throw up paint without the necessary preparation to ensure a good lasting final product. Rather than giving me a quote and running off to the next job, Ted discussed potential solutions for me to achieve my goal. I took on the project myself and with the professional opinion and advice finished my project. I have a new found respect for the proper exterior preparation and painting of a home. I have kept in contact with Ted Wetzel and have met with different members of his crews over the past few years. The Final Coat and its professional knowledgeable crews are highly recommended by me!

David, the technician, showed up on time and went right to work. He had the cleaning chemical recommended by the manufacturer of the EIFS and he used the proper low pressure for the cleaning. He did not damage the EIFS with the ladder. He applied the cleaning chemical with a brush and let it soak the correct amount of time. When he did the pressure cleaning of the drive, the walk, the front porch, and the patio he cleaned the surfaces evenly and without leaving streaks. He also was careful when using the high pressure spray not to damage the EIFS that was next to the front porch, which a previous pressure washing company had done. Final Coat was not the lowest bid but they did the work correctly and carefully. I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone who does not want their EIFS (a stucco type finish) damaged by using the wrong cleaner or way too high pressure. Final Coat also quoted the application of the concrete sealer (Okon S-40), but I ended up doing it myself.
