Description of Work: I have used their services twice this year. Recently they cut down a crab apple tree that was in the front corner of my property. I had them plant a different type of crab apple in its place.

Description of Work: Ground an existing stump. Cut two trees down and ground both stumps. Elevated a large Pin-Oak. Trimmed and shaped one other tree.

Description of Work: cut down and removed dead tree in back yard. very clean work. hardly knew he had been there. Later he had someone come and grind up the stump which was included in the the total price. He was very prompt when I called to get estimate.

Description of Work: We use The Davey Tree Company. They have done tree trimming, tree advice, plant advice, and they are doing the lawn treatment. They fertilize and kill the weeds and bugs. We had them come out in March because we had a tree with a fungus.

Description of Work: Pruned two very large and old trees. One was a cherry tree the other a sugar maple. These trees were very large, old, and had been neglected for years. The sugar maple is at least 3 stories high, and is one of the hardest woods to deal with. A large portion of the cherry tree was dead. There was an incredible amount of work to be done....and they accomplished the job. Pruned the trees, removed all the deadwood, hauled and shredded the debris. It took all day. They also 'cabled' the sugar maple. It was in danger of splitting and falling into the house, yard, and power lines. The pruning, deadwood removal, and debris clean-up and hauling cost $420.00 The cabling cost $450.00. I definately got my money's worth.

Description of Work: We have three very large trees on our property and the Arborist Consultant from Davey Tree showed us how much they needed trimming. We were amazed at how Davey went about trimming. The trimmers did not work from bucket trucks but actually used ropes to pull themselves around the tree. They hand trimmed with a pole cutter, or chain saw limbs from the interior of the tree out as well as those which hungover the house. When they are finished you could see sunlight through the trees and they totally cleaned up the area so well that you could not tell that they had been there. When I asked them why they trimmed this way, they said it did not do any damage to the tree itself since they did not use spikes on their boots or any other assisting device other than the ropes. It also allowed from new grow and did not reduce the size of the tree's canopy but instead protected it from wind and disease. This proved to be one of the best investments we have ever made on the outside of our home. When the terrible winter storm of 2011 blew through this area many limbs broke off trees. But the only damage we had were a few sticks on the ground because the wind could blow through the tree unhampered.
