John and his crew were very professional and did an excellent job finishing my basement. A living room, full kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom and study/exercise room were created. His guys also helped to install all the appliances and helped to wall mount all the TVs Quality work I would say. I continue to receive compliments from friends and family about how nice our new living space looks and feels. Kids love it and want to play there all the time. Guests who have stayed in the bedroom say it feels like a hotel room. Really cozy. I must specifically commend how well the insulation was done. So nice and cozy during the winter. I would highly recommend John and his crew. They do a really good job and prices seem fair. I will see if I can post a few photos sometime soon. We do feel the pace of the work slowed down a bit during the later phases of the work. Otherwise A+ and 5 Stars

I would highly recommend JP Grabenstetter Construction. They are, in my opinion, the very best in the business! From start to finish, John and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. They turned our very awkward, unusable basement space into a high-end living space that our family will enjoy for years to come. Every time I go into the basement, I can't even believe the transformation that took place. It's like something out of a magazine. John has vision and an eye for detail. Within our first meeting, he was able to reimagine our terribly drab existing basement into a fantastically useful space. My husband and I had a wish list of 6 functional areas within our basement design; a full bathroom, a media room, a bar, a playroom, a game room, and a home gym. With just under 1,200 sq ft of space, John gave us every single item on our wish list and then some! John has a knack for paying attention to the little details on a project. He went above and beyond to find us a knoll-post and trim that specifically matched the look of our upstairs living area. When the bar faucet was ordered, they inadvertently ordered brushed nickel instead of oil rubbed bronze. John immediately went out and purchased a replacement faucet in oil rubbed bronze that was absolutely my style! But quite possibly the most impressive was the fact that John noticed a minor issue with 2 of our cabinets in our bar and without prompting, he ordered what he needed to get them fixed! Days after he received my final payment, he emailed me to tell me that they would be out to do the work soon! Most of the guys that work for JP Grabenstetter are direct employees, not sub-contractors. We felt like this made a HUGE difference when it came not only to schedule but especially to QUALITY. I felt like each of the guys on John's team took pride and ownership in the work that they performed. My husband and I are VERY particular and detailed individuals and JP Grabenstetter more than lived up to our expectations. John has many years in the business and over the years has formed relationships with some very top of the line vendors in the area. A huge tip for those of you who do make the decision to work with JP Grabenstetter Construction; make sure to get their Preferred Vendor List as soon as you get your contract signed and start making calls! Meet with the cabinet vendor, the carpet vendor, the granite vendor, etc and start getting a feel for what styles you want, even if the design of the basement isn't 100% complete. This will help your project stay on track and relieve some of the pressure of making last minute decision. Plus these vendors have great ideas that may help you along with your decision making. I did a lot of homework before I decided on JP Grabenstetter Construction. I read all of the reviews online, I called my realtor to make sure that an investment in our basement was a wise decision, and in the end, I am extremely pleased with our decision. Many thanks

John's crew finished basement February 2018 and we are very pleased. They were professional throughout the entire process and properly moved us forward with decisions and questions. Overall, we are very satisfied with the finished project. Quality work and we would definitely use them again. JP Grabenstetter Construction is very good at what they do. Our basement was completely unfinished, and in several months, it was transformed into a comfortable living space with full kitchen, gorgeous bathroom, guest suite, laundry, and pleasant family room. We particularly liked the high-quality work and the fair prices. John liked to keep everything running according to schedule. Due to our inexperience with home remodeling and illness, we were slowed down in making design decisions. If you are aware of this and have your preferences decided on time, you will really enjoy working with John. He and his guys are precise and careful. They came on time, were respectful of our living space, and didn't slack off. We particularly appreciated Doug and Rick's excellent work, along with Ryan's skilled painting, and Sean's careful drywalling. Buying our cabinets from Steve Fedder (at Graves Lumber) was also a very pleasant experience, as he patiently walked us through the process step by step. We have recommended John to friends and would use him again. In fact, after a flooding incident, he made the time to come back and repair what we needed, even replacing our sump pump personally. His suggestions of initial layout, eco-friendly lighting, no-VOC paint, and waterproof flooring were all outstanding recommendations. We were extremely happy with the finished product.

Extremely pleased with the professionalism of John and his crew. They kept us aware of everything that was going to take place with the exception of the drywall crew. The drywall hangers did an excellent job however we were not advised by any member of the crew when they Departed which resulted in my house being left unsecured for a brief time.

We were thoroughly impressed with J.P.Grabenstetter Construction and would highly recommend this company. My wife and I were very pleased with the quality of work that was done to finish our basement. We also felt extremely comfortable with each crew member who entered our home. The project started and ended on time. Any order changes we had made were easily worked into the schedule and there were no surprises or bumps along the way. John's crew has a wide range of knowledge in many different areas of construction. Not only were they able to finish off our basement and make it look absolutely beautiful, but they also were able to do so much more. For instance, they installed our sump pump, changed out the original heat ducts and took a pipe that originally was in the middle of our basement going through our cement floor and moved it out of view behind a wall. John's pricing was fair. It was competitive with the other companies in which we received estimates, but John was the only one who was able to answer all of our questions and give suggestions. This most likely was because John is an experienced home construction laborer, while other companies simply send out a salesman. Therefore, it made our choice easy on who to go with and I am glad we chose J.P. Grabenstetter.

John and his crew did an outstanding job on our basement! It was everything we pictured and wanted for our house! The communication and service provided was the best anyone could ask for! John and his team not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Unlike many contractors, John did exactly what he agreed to with professionalism and punctuality. I have never experienced a group of tradesmen who were on time and performed quality craftsmanship like John's team. Bar none, his craftsmen were friendly and did a quality job as I expected. The project was completed on time and once the job was done, John personally followed up and dealt with a few minor imperfections that in any job inevitably occurs. I cannot emphasize enough my satisfaction with this company. Highly recommend.
