Regular maintenance will keep the system running for years, so please consider having us out for a Tune & Clean on the unit. At the very least, keep changing your filter regularly. Description of Work: Checked boiler and replaced sight glass. Explained how to maintain water levels and ensure how to maintain clean water inside the boiler. |The entire procedure took about 30 to 40 minutes. This included putting water back into the boiler after the sight glass was replaced. The service was good, but I feel the price was too high for what was done. I was given an estimate over the phone and the technician stuck to that estimate. |

Thank you for your review and i appreciate your honesty. It may seem like a large repair bill for an hours worth of work. We are flat rate for our service department, so the price quoted is the price paid, regardless of how long the repair may take. Had it taken longer or had we run into other problems with the repair, the price would not change. With that said, in addition to the the sight glass, we also replaced the boiler drain on the unit as well, which was included in that price. Overall, my experience with Echols has been great. They don't try to oversell. If it's a simple solution, that's what they do.
Description of Work: When other HVAC companies came and were focused on selling a new unit, Echols troubleshot the problem and fixed it for a fair price. I've had two good experiences with them, they're the only folks I'll deal with.

After failing a Good Cents audit for a rebate through Dominion I was worried that getting the rebate might not be worth it if costly repairs to my furnace were involved. The technician from Echols was able to get CO2 ppm to below 100, and I passed the audit the 2nd time around.

Description of Work: I found a leak in our furnace and called. They instructed me to turn off the humidifier and they scheduled a time for repair. They arrived, fixed the problem, check my furnace and were HONEST in their appraisal. Have used this company for 20 year...no problems.
