Mike was friendly and helpful. They provided a time frame of 2-4 pm and he came at 3:40 pm, so while they stuck to their word I didn't like having to wait that long.

Mike B. arrived exactly on time to service my boiler which had never been serviced since it was installed in 1989. He took the whole boiler apart and cleaned it up like new. He checked that it was running properly and cleaned up after service was done. He was working for over 2 hours so I certainly am very happy with my bill from Beckwith. I would certainly recommend this company and will schedule to have my air conditioner serviced.

It turned out good. They just did the job. It was a good price. The quality was nice. When they came, I wasn?t at home; so I don?t know about their professionalism.

Great. They were fantastic. They did a fantastic job, very informative, very thorough, nice guy.

They said it needed to be replaced because of carbon monoxide emissions and the quote was for around $2300. The guy was very clear that the situation couldn't wait and could be a real danger to the tenants, and I appreciated his concern. I was able to get the same job done through another contractor for $1100. Beckwith are pro's and you can count on them. I just can't always afford them. They are prompt, courteous and professional. Customers like me are a pain. We get their quote then go around and get the job done cheaper if we can.

We smelled a "hot" smell in the house. Since we had used Beckwith Heating & Cooling years ago (2008), we placed a service call. Within 2 hours, the representative was here. Our furnace is the original (house built in 1986) and it is a Carrier early vintage "high efficiency" unit. Prior owners replaced motors in 2000. We have had only one minor service call (2008). We replaced the filter, which was a thicker filter w/ Febreeze scent. Matt B., the friendly Beckwith service representative, suggested we not use such a thick filter with our current furnace. After an inspection of the furnace, Matt could not determine the cause of the "hot" smell. When he left, I could barely smell a much fainter "hot" scent. The service rep suggested we might be proactive and think about a furnace replacement since we may be on borrowed time with this original unit (now approx. 28 years old). He gave us some pricing options for different replacement units and explained the basic differences between the units. Now we need to do our homework to determine if we are ready to buy a new furnace, and if so, which brand/model to purchase. ADDENDUM: Furnace quit heating after 3 hours. House temp dropped to 53 by evening. We called a different company (Sal's Heating & Cooling) & requested service for the next morning. Sal's rep arrived at 9 am diagnosed problem within 10 minutes. Enough said.

Initially all went well. I chose this company because I had met the owner a few times and knew him to be a nice guy - supports the local schools. I went with the products their rep recommended. Not a well known brand for HVAC, but they assured us that it was the best on the market at the time, which is why they switched to that line of products. In hindsight, I feel like it may have just been the highest profit margin.... rather than quality. In the first two years, I had to have them come out twice due to ice on my AC line. Noticed that the AC was struggling to cool below 75 in heat of the summer ( two years in a row). On about the three year mark, they finally told me that the AC condenser or Coil ( cant recall) had a known defect - they were rusting out. So it was still under warranty and they sent someone out to replace it. When I got home and went down to see what they had done - I found that they had to MAKE a new door/cover and it looked like it was made out of a piece of tin with tin/duct tape sealing the thing. In addition, there was trash strewn about my partially finished basement, burned wood chips (from what I don't know) screws, dried caulking, etc... all of this was just feet from where my youngest plays. I called that night to see what the heck happened. I got a return call that the new coil did not "fit" so they had to widen the door (Make a new one). They apologized for how it looked. They also apologized for the trash and said the employee that was working on it, had a family emergency and had to leave quickly. They sent a manager out the next day and he apologized as well. Since this replacement unit has been installed - our AC has sounded like a freight train every time it kicks on ( in the house) .... to the point where we find ourselves having to turn up the television volume when its on. This tells me that not only was the correct unit not installed ( remember it didn't fit), but that it was not of decent quality. I called early this summer and told them of the noise issue and that I was unhappy and I got no return call. I only expect to get what I pay for, I feel like I got a "lemon" of an AC unit from this company. The furnace is fine.

I had gotten a few quotes from other companies, as well, and all the companies were all around the same on price. But Beckwith Heating & Cooling Inc. prices are competitive. He was very informative. He gave me some good suggestions on what I can do to my house to make it more energy efficient. He said he would do everything he could to work with me on whatever options I wanted. He said if I couldn't get it done for a couple of months, that was fine, just give him a call. He gave me some other the names of other contractors for possibly some other services I may need that he knew personally. He took his time. He was the only one of the companies I got estimates from that could actually figure out where my furnace vents were. He figured it out in like two minutes. He knew right away. So he was very knowledgeable, very helpful.

I have used them for a number of years. They are on time and they do what they are supposed to. They went above and beyond. the house is 6 years old and when he serviced the furnace the very first time he was telling me about the build up of dust and he cleaned the entire furnace for me. He always asks about replacements and tells me the price. They take their time, they didn't rush through anything.

Based on the reviews on Angie's List, I decided to purchase a maintenance plan with Beckwith Heating and Cooling. I called to make my appointment and the lady I spoke to on the phone was so friendly. She even reminded me that I should use the Angie's List Coupon, which saved me $25.00. She also told me the pros and cons of purchasing the maintenance plan. If you purchase the maintenance plan, you save 15% of all future services, are given priority rights if there are any furnace/AC problems, and you end up paying less if you purchased furnance/AC tune ups separately. Dave came and did the tune ups. I had both done today, as my schedule in the fall gets busy. I appreciated them giving me that option. He arrived right on time. I was given the time slot of 8:00 -- 9:00 AM and he arrived at 8:20 AM. He was done with all work by 10:00 AM. After he was finished, he walked me through everything and even gave me some advice on my hot water tank. I also appreciated the detailed write-up he left for me on my invoice. This included all of the work that he completed today. I was very pleased with the service I received from Beckwith today. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I had a very positive experience with Beckwith Heating & Cooling from start to finish and highly recommend their services. They arrived as scheduled and informed me of the possible outcomes and costs before proceeding. They quickly discovered and fixed a loose connection that was the source of the freon leak, avoiding the cost associated with performing a full blown leak test. I was very impressed with their service and fair rates. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Well let me start with, I was not at home during this service call. My adult son came over and he said the technician arrived on time and was very professional. I turned on the thermostat for the A/C on Sunday night and nothing happened. I then called Beckwith Heating & Cooling on Monday morning after finding them on Angie's list. They could have come to the house that day however, it was not a good time for me or my son to be there. I made the appt for Wednesday at 3:00 because it was a good time for my son, as I was going to be out of town on business. The technician put shoe coverings on his shoes when he arrived to walk thru the house and he informed my son of what he found and proceeded to clean the coils that were dirty, he checked the amps to make sure they were reading correctly and he had to turn on some breakers that were off. Not sure why they were off but he said they were. When everything was completed, he turned the A/C on and cool air blew out. I had a coupon for $25 off ( from Angie's list website ) and he honored it, so my $139 bill cost me only $114.

They were professional from start to finish. Bruce Beckwith gave me a prompt estimate and explained all my options, advantages and disadvantages of the different furnace models and their efficiencies. He made sure I understood everything. I can't say enough good things about the crew of 3 young men who did the installation. They were prompt, polite, thorough, and quick! The installation only took about 6 hours. They cleaned up everything including hauling away the old air conditioner's concrete slab. Bruce followed up with a letter explaining how to get the required inspection from the Summit County Building Dept. And in May, he sent another crew member to finish up the A/C start-up (since January weather prevented this). I would definitely recommend Beckwith Heating & Cooling!

I called these people first thing in the morning during a cold snap when my furnace went out. They were able to come out that afternoon, and even showed up early. They quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. They also were happy to accept the coupon from Angie's List and explained what they did.

From the moment I called this company till Dave left our house with all repairs completed, there was EXTREME professionalism! Called Beckwith on 8/13 when my whole house AC started squealing. They told me I could have an appt. the next morning between 8:00 and 9:00. OK, hold on to your hats... the serviceman was here at 7:55!!!! Well, that's never happened before!He got right to work, diagnosed the problem, fixed it and was done within the hour. Very courteous, very professional. He accepted the Angie's List coupon for $25 without comment. Price was more than reasonable. I will definitely call Beckwith the next time I have an HVAC issue.

Very well, Arrived right on time and efficiently evaluated the issue, performed the work. Did not perform excess work or add in things that would have increased the cost but not added all that much value. Will definitely call Beckwith again.

They are a great company. They did an excellent job. They have good prices. They are very professional. So I had them come back and put in a whole house central air conditioning unit.

Beckwith is the company I call for air conditioning maintenance and furnace maintenance. They provide excellent service and are professional in every area. The office representative goes out the way to schedule appointments in response to customer's needs. I will definetely call Beckwith again.

So as promised, I had a great experience with Beckwith replacing a furnace, so I went back to them when my AC condensers were crushed by icicles falling off my roof! The process was seamless and easy. Dan came out and gave me estimate on two different units. I was able to do my own research and call him with my choice of unit replacement. When I called they were back out with my units for installation within two weeks. Luckily the weather cooperated and the condensers were able to be tested for any cooling liquid leaks and were fully charged and operational within two days. (The icicles fell on the unit and the lines did not appear to be damaged) The guys that came out were great. During my estimate with Dan we agreed that the units should be installed on blocking to keep them well above the mulch in the garden beds. When I mentioned this to the installers, they were unaware of this installation adjustment, but went straight out, got the blocks and installed them as agreed. Everyone with this company is great. My experience continues to be excellent in dealing with everyone here. No hard sell and they give you time to research their recommendations!

The weather was cold, and the gas company had found a leak while replacing our gas meter. They wouldn't turn our gas back on until the problem had been fixed. The leak was traced to our old, old, furnace. I decided to replace it. It was early evening, and I didn't know if anyone would be available. I called Beckwith, and we discussed furnaces and installation. I agreed to an Amana high-efficiency furnace, and, to my relief, they said they could come out the next day to deliver and install it. That was great, because I didn't want to be without heat any longer than necessary. It was a big job, and it took them all day. They were very friendly and professional and careful when moving materials and the heavy appliances through our house. A few days later, I received from them a coupon for some free candy at a candy store in Akron. That was a nice gesture. Also, they notified me that they had sent in my warranty, for me--10 years parts, 5 years labor. The new furnace heats our old ramshackle house much better than our old one did. I am very happy and satisfied to have hired them and would do so again.

The pilot light on my approximately 20 yr water heater kept going out - while my husband was out of town of course! A neighbor had to come over and show me how to relight it. After getting down on my hands and knees to re-light for 3rd or 4th time I had had enough. I called around to 5 or 6 different companies and Beckwith had the best price and were able to install the water heater within a couple of days of my making a decision. They honored a quote they had given us more than a year ago! Not many people do that these days. No hassle, haggling or whining about increased costs- just YES we have the previous estimate on file and we can still install for that price. No hidden costs or add-on like other companies. Someone even came out to insure that there would be no problem installing the new water heater and that there would be no extra costs. The permit, all fittings/labor and hauling away old heater were included in price. They showed up on time and were done in approximately 3 hours. Other companies wouldn't even give me a rough estimate on the phone or their base price was already too high. These days for safety/time management no one likes to have a multitude of strangers trooping in and out of their house unless you know that their price is even in the right ballpark.
