Security First Home Inspections

We had carpenter ants in the house, I wanted someone to come out and inspect the home for potential mold problem to make sure we didn't have bigger issues. Scott was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to accommodate our busy schedule and showed up on time the day of his appointment. He inspected out basement, the wall in question, the attic, and outside the house and determined that we had a minor moisture problem around our windows, but nothing serious. He provided our options and his recommendations, without trying to oversell us on anything. He was upfront and honest about all costs, which was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Scott if you need someone to come out and inspect for possible mold.

Scott was very nice and professional. He was very prompt and very thorough on his inspection. He walked us through a few issues he found and answered all questions we had about those. He told us what could wait and what we should remedy right away and stressed the importance of the safety during his inspection. Overall he did a great job and we would recommend his services to others.

Scott was very nice, he was very thorough. As a new home buyer the inspection process is daunting, it didn't make it any easier the house I had inspected was built in the 20's I already knew there would be issues but all you hear is $ signs. Scott did a good job of explaining what was necessary now and what could wait a few years. He was definitely experienced and knowledgeable beyond just inspecting a house. Scott has previous and current experience as a licensed contractor and it shows. Can't even call it a complaint but the only gripe I had was it took three days for the official inspection report to come through. When you've only got 10 days to obtain official financing and try and renegotiate a lower purchase price every day matters. Three days seemed like longer than it should've been but really it was still timely and left more than enough time to finish the rest of the process. The inspection was also very reasonably priced. I was recommended to a few other inspectors however they wanted at least 25% more. I'm sure they would've done a good job but I don't know how you could really do much better than Scott did. Thanks!

Scott supposedly cleaned 2 corners in my basement and never produced any test results proving mold. Charging me $650 before samples were tested telling me that he had to be paid in advance. Then he came back in 2 days to clean, no results of mold presented and charged $250 more. I still have not received test results after 2 weeks.

I really liked Scott and appreciated him coming out to investigate our mold problem. However, he did not provide an accurate identification of the source of the mold problem, and the analysis of the situation fell short. We had to have another company out that provided a much more thorough analysis of everything for only a little more money.

Showed up on time. Did a complete walk through. A little tardy on sending out report on house.

Fast and friendly. Did a great job making sure all the mold in my garage was removed.

Scott contacted me within hours of requesting service. He arrived on time, identified areas of concern, and took several samples for evaluation. However, I was not provided with a copy of the service request for my records.
