Val came over to look at a roof repair on our new fixer upper. He checked everything out, explained the work needed, gave me an estimate, and got the work done well within the time frame he quoted. the job was done while I was at work and he called me to tell me it was done. It looks great, and I no longer have birds nesting in and damaging my house! I'm very satisfied. I definitely recommend him.

Val came over and provided an estimate to replace a enclosed porch roof that stared to leak and the estimate provided was online with 2 other company quotes.I decided to hire upstate home improvements because a 7 year warranty was included to replace the roof. Val & his roofing crew Chris & David were wonderful and did a thorough job from start to finish and I was extremely happy with the completed project. I will definitely hire Upstate Home Improvements for any future home projects.

They were right on the repair and it was even done early.

I had the shingles over the vent on the house roof and garage replaced. Val, came when he said he would, he explained everything very clearly and showed me a video of where the damage was. The work was done as requested and the area was cleaned and Val even did some extra clean up at no cost to me. I am very pleased with this company and would highly recommend Val and his team to anyone looking to have any roof repair. I will definitely contact them again for any repairs that I may need.

The back half of our roof developed some ice jams and leaks this winter, and we knew we were looking at a likely roof replacement soon. Val came over quickly in February to deal with the immediate problem and got us on the schedule for a half roof replacement this spring at a price we could afford. Really appreciate the long hours Val and his crew put in this week to get the job done in one day, before the spring rains arrive. Would definitely recommend!

the project was booked 12/1/20 but had to be postponed due to the weather .But Val put on a temporary fix to get through the winter. He came on march 10 and 11.Job was professionally completed .He explained what had to be done and how he was going to do it .I am Very satisfied with the work.

The work involved replacing siding, support braces, shingles and underlayment under and next to a bay window. The damage had been caused by leaking and carpenter ants. The work was done efficiently, and the cleanup was unusually thorough.

They did a great job of explaiing the existing issues and showed photos and videos of the roof where we couldn't access. He explained all that was needed to repair the roof properly. Work was done within a reasonable timeframe and done to our satisfaction.

Val was a conscientious and checked the stability of my siding in various locations on the house and repaired those areas that needed repair. I then hired him for rain gutter installation, looks great and works well.

It is a shame that the rating for this site only goes to 5. Val and his crew deserve a 10 for the work completed on my home. From start to finish it was a first class job done by professionals. Val replaced two skylights and reshingled my large roof. His crew started at 7 am and were finished by 4 pm. This included the thorough cleanup. I highly recommend Upstate Home Improvements.

What a great experience! Val explained the job he was going to do for me(a leak in my chimney) the time, the cost and when the job would be done. Everything work out so well that I hired him for a few other jobs, Excellent work!!!

Very professional, came when they said they would. After Val looked at my sky lights he determined they did not need repairing. He did notice ridge vents had not been replaced when roof was put on in 2010. I had him replaced vents. They needed it. it saved me problems in the future. Val saved me money on not replacing skylights and alerted me to the fact that my ridge vents should be replace.

Val responded quickly to our inquiry with an astute analysis of the skylight and roof problem. In less than a day, he provided an estimate of cost and details of the work involved. Very professional. He made sure the leak(s) were covered until weather permitted the work to begin. They replaced skylight and roof efficiently and with as little disruption as possible. Quality of work is superior and clean up was perfect. Would hire again for other jobs without hesitation. Could not ask for more. Skylight fits well and looks great from outside and inside.. We are new to the area and consider ourselves lucky to have found Val's company (thanks to Home Adviser)

Val and his crew did a really good job replacing my roof and skylights. He always showed up on time when he scheduled his work and his crew was very neat and clean. At the end of the day you would never even know they were there. His prices were very fair, I have had other contractors do work for me and would rate Upstate Home and Improvement above all of them.

Excellent work and customer service

Val responded to my request for quote promptly and came out and inspected the project and gave me a quote. Once they came out the repairs were completed quickly and professionally. They repaired two spots on the roof plus a new ridge vent and found two others I had not noticed and repaired those as well. I am pleased with the result.

First time we used Home Advisor and Val called us right away, then he showed up within a day to assess and price out our needs for chimney repair! He was very professional, showed up when he said he would, communicated well on the project and kept us informed as to what he was doing and why. Val was very professional, prompt and courteous. He inspected the roof and gave me a written estimate the same day I called. In fact, he started the job ahead of schedule. His crew worked hard over a weekend in November to replace decades-old shingles on my parents' house in the Utica area. I was happy with the job and the price.
