Description of Work: The pilot light to my gas burning hot water heater wouldn't stay lit. After a cold night, I called at 7:30AM, they were at my house at 8:10AM, and the water heater was fixed by 8:30AM. And the technician was pleasant, knowledgable, and professional. A great experience.

 + -1 moreOur furnace kept kicking off in the night, hitting the reset button worked but we were warned that eventually it wouldn't work (it would wear it out). So, since we were investigating zoning the home we felt we better get this issue resolved first. Paul was a great guy, gave us a thorough estimate for new furnace and oil tank. We got about 5 quotes as we were told we needed to replace radiators to be more efficient, then others said no, don't do that. Several said to replace oil furnace and tank. A couple tried to fix issue with no success. Collis' quote was more than we wished to spend on a 200 year old home; I'm sure the work would have been done well but we weren't convinced that we needed a $3,000 oil tank. We finally found a guy that said we didn't need to replace anything but a transformer - and the heat has been running ever since! Since there are no leaks on the tank, just rust, we decided to wait on that; all is working well so don't want to mess with it!

Description of Work: Furnace went just before new years. Called a 4 companies. Collis was not the cheapest but was not the most expensive. The 1 thing they had was service people in the area not 2 others were either Syracuse or Rochester. They came the next day a 8:30 and left completely done at 1:30 Absolutely a great job done the first time. month later they called made an appointment with me to come and service the new furnace to make sure everything was running correct. I would refer them to anybody.

 + -1 moreWe just purchased a home and when we moved in the heating system was making a terrible screeching noise. I called Collis at 9am and I had someone at my house by 10am. He didn't have the part with him but someone delivered the part while the service man was removing the broken part and he was all finished by 11:30am. The service man was very professional. A great experience during a very stressful time.
