+ -1 moreI decided on this company because of their reputation and discovered their discount package after I'd made an appointment via telephone. They honored the Angie's list discounted price for year-round service without any issues. I live on the west coast but I book a lot of household services for my elderly mother on the east coast so its very important for me to find honest professionals. Their phone operator was helpful, their technician arrived on time and was cordial. My mother was very happy with the service they provided and her cat gave them two paws up. I will definitely use this company again and recommend them to my east coast neighbors.
Description of Work: The conducted pest extermination on four floors of a private residence, including mouse traps and bug sprays.

+ -1 moreI am very happy with the results. Have seen a couple of bugs come back but they assured me this would happen but that they would die. They did offer a 45 day guarantee so if I see another I'll call. The guarantee gives you peace of mind that they know what they are doing.
Description of Work: The technician inspected all rooms for bugs and proceeded with treatment. He drilled smalls holes in the walls through which he injected some powder and followed up by patching all drillings. They came back a month after for a follow up treatment included in the original price.

+ -1 moreContacted Suburban Pest Control to secure exterminator services to deal with rodents and Albert answered the phone. Having never used this company, Albert thoroughly explained everything that is covered by their annual service plan (i.e. quarterly visits with three follow-ups; pests covered are rodents and most small pests). He was helpful, courteous and professional. Decision was made to go with the annual service plan (promotional discount made it the best choice). Appointment was set up for the following day and a 2-hour window was given from noon to 2:00 p.m. The exterminator showed up on time, was thorough, professional, courteous and did a great job overall. A complete package containing the yearly service agreement and other relevant information was provided. The overall experience dealing with this company was excellent!

+ -1 moreThey booked the appointment very soon after we called, showed up when expected and did some preventative treatments. It was raining the day they came so they could not do any work outside but came back to do what they needed to later in the week. A couple of weeks later we thought we might have a mouse and they were very responsive to our call and quicklky returned to assess the situation. Even though they didn't see any sign of a problem, they treated the area just in case. My only slight complaint was that I mentioned a hole in our front stairs that I thought perhaps critters like the mouse could come thru. They said they could fill it with some foam that they use but I guess they forgot. It wasn't a huge deal because it was mentioned somewhat in passing, but it would have been nice. Overall, the experience was very positive tho - they were very friendly, service oriented and seemed very knowledgeable.
Description of Work: We did the annual service contract so they came for the initial assessment and treatment, which was spraying for some jumping crickets in the basement and garage, and then came for a follow-up visit.

+ -1 moreWent pretty well. Was a little annoyed that they couldn't go out and do the check and perform services the same day. They had to come out, check the place out, give me an estimate, and then I had to schedule service on another day. They also said one of the floors was fine and then the tenants living there saw a mouse the very next day on that floor. Regardless, from what I can tell they know what they're doing and they are definitely very professional. They're a little pricey compared to other services but I've never even had another service put tracking powder in the walls and do the stuff these guys did, so I guess you have to pay for competence -- which I'm happy to do.

+ -1 moreI was very happy with the service. I liked how they took time to explain what they will and won't do and how the coupon/plan work. I was very pleased that the technician showed us the holes found.
Description of Work: Over the past few months I have seen a mouse and mouse droppings. I have tried ammonia and peppermint oil, glue traps and even old fashioned mouse traps. All without success, I would see nothing, then the mouse would return. I called Suburban and was able to make an appointment for the next day. The person on the phone answered all of my questions and explained my options and the services covered. I chose to use the Angie's List coupon for an annual contract. They arrived and did a full inspection of the house (three floors, including a basement), inside and out. The technician found several holes outside and one in the kitchen (which I never even knew was there and that must have been providing access to the rodents!!). He plugged the holes, laid bait and traps and sprayed for silverfish. As he worked, he explained to my daughter the process and showed the holes found and bait laid. He was finished in about an hour.

+ -1 morei sent an email to the company once i had purchased the package to schedule. they called back immediately and setup a time to visit. they came by as promised. i wasn't home when they came, but my wife said the person who visited was very professional and very knowledgable. they explained exactly what was in the contract and did what they needed to. 3 months later, without me calling or doing anything else they reached out for the next appointment and the same routine. very professional.

My service person Matthew was very knowledgable, friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend their service to any that needs an exterminator for your home or office.
Description of Work: The deal that I got was for one year exterminator service ( 4 visits). In addition to spraying inside and outside the house, the technician placed terminator detectors outside and rodent traps in the house. The initial service required a longer time as the exterminator Matthew took more time to assess needs and answer questions.

The price to remove an inactive nest was a little high, but I would contact this company again to perform services in the future.I cancelled the appointment, as coincidently, the nest fell down before the appointment.

+ -1 moreI posted a review for unsatisfactory service on 4/19/12. A few days later I received a call from Ken Unger, the President of the company, who wanted to apologize for my bad experience. He said he would return the $80.00 I paid for the estimate. He also wanted to know more of the details of my estimate appointment. True to his word, a few days after our phone conversation, I received a check for my $80 AND a letter of apology with a promised credit for any future work. This level of attention to customer satisfaction is excellent. When the President of the company follows-up after an unsatisfactory report, that is a sign of a company who will work hard to make sure their customers are pleased. I will seriously consider calling them for any future work I may need. I am very impressed with how they resolved this experience.

Description of Work: The service person called to let me know that he would arrive at 10 am and did so. He diagnosed the problem, citronella ants, and unlike the representative from Terminex, told us that no professional treatment or service contract was necessary. He told us how to deal with the problem ourselves. He was courteous and professional and I would hire Suburban if we had a problem that required service and recommend him to our friends. The representative from Terminix also diagnosed citronella ants, but told us that the presence of citronella ants indicated that we had termites and that we needed to treat for both, at the cost of $200 per quarter of $800 per year.

He explained the situation in detail, offered concrete suggestions, and recommended websites to review. As a result, we implemented a number of suggestions and have just about eliminated the moth problem. In addition, we have made changes that will prevent future infestations. I could not be anymore pleased with Suburban Pest. You can not go wrong with them.
Description of Work: This is a follow-up to a previous report. We purchased an annual contract with Suburban Pest. I called because we were seeing an increasing number of moths in our mudroom and pantry. They set up an appointment for two days later. The technician showed up right on time and quickly identified the problem.
