Steamaster Carpet Cleaning

The cleaning technicians were friendly and extremely efficient. They were quick and did an excellent job! My carpeting looks great.

Headmaster did an excellent job. They were punctual, courteous and professional. They did an excellent job cleaning our rugs, and removing stains that we never thought would come out. I highly recommend them.

Not well. First the arrival. I was given a window of arrival, and assured that I would receive advance notice, which was necessary because I knew I would be in and out on the day of the work. No advance notice. The guy who arrived said the office was supposed to call me which it did not. The when he learned that I didn't have a car filling one of the parking spaces in front that could be moved to make space for the Steamaster truck, he complained that he would have to find a parking space and cart the equipment. This is Manhattan. Anybody who works here, which is what they say they do, knows that finding a parking spot in this area is difficult, so I didn't need this extra whining. Once inside, he said that several large boxes located near the front door would have to be moved so the rug underneath them could dry after it was cleaned. They would move them, but I would have to move them back. Given their size and weight, there was no way I could move them back after they left. Their web site says they move heavy furniture, so there was no way for me to know that this problem would exist. Once upstairs, he asked if any of the rugs had silk in them. I didn't think so, but since no one, including prior carpet cleaners or the office when I scheduled the appointment had asked, I hadn't tried to and didn't know the answer to the question. Unlike the other carpet cleaners who cleaned them without a release and found no difficulties, they wanted a written release or for me to pay a much higher price for it to be taken to their plant for cleaning. He couldn't tell me whether Steamaster's cleaning process was different from anybody else's so even though these rugs had been cleaned before, Steamaster's process might cause the colors to run. None of these issues had been raised with me before--not moving and returning heavy boxes, not special treatment of some rugs, not having to send a rug to their plant or risk damaging it. I spoke to the office twice, once to get the estimate, once to confirm the appointment, but no one alerted me to these issues. Amidst this uncertainty and confusion, I cancelled the appointment.

Have used them before and think they are very good so I used them again. Very professional, and proficient. I had Ralph's crew.

It was terrible. I wasn't home. They came when my husband was home. The carpet guy kind of messed up. They didn't charge more. The work wasn't satisfactory.

They came within the promised three-hour window; were very professional; explained the process; were very efficient. Results were very good; even took care of several stains.

Went very well. They came right within my 11 - 2 window with all the equipment and my carpet looks amazing now. Were in and out within an hour. Very professional and they know what they're doing. They accept credit cards too which is a big plus.

It went great. The women who handle the customer service in the office were terrific. Joey steam cleaned my kitchen floor which made an incredible difference. The chairs also came out great. I will use them again and would definitely recommend them..

Professional, On-Time and exactly as promised. The experience started with a call to set up an appointment - easy, informative and efficient. George and Justin showed up on time, discussed what would be done and any special conditions and limitations. They proceeded and the work was done as promised - with great results. They worked as a team. Their equipment is programs - not some rental grade gear. Some hours later received a followup call from the office to ensure satisfaction.. A nice touch, which I appreciate. Neighbors asked why I didn't just rent a steamer, but when they saw their efficiency and their equipment, and the outcome they asked, "how much did that cost?" ..and took down their contact info. Motor - nothing sells like great service. And I am a satisfied customer who felt smart and made the right decision. What more can I say.

Everything went perfectly. Received prompt call-back from my initial internet contact and immediately scheduled appointment for within a week. They explained everything clearly, they confirmed with me the day before the appointment, the crew came exactly when expected, they were friendly and efficient, and they got the job done fast. And the price is very reasonable for the amount of work involved.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the service provided. Additionally, we were very pleased that all the ingredients used had no odor. We will definitely use them again.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon from Angie's List. When I called that same day to set up the appointment, Gina (in the office) called me back very quickly. Appointment was set for today between 10 and 1; she said they would call me when the technician was on his way and she did. George arrived about a half hour after her call -- very nice person, very professional. I showed him what needed to be done and he set to work. The entire job -- including pre-treating the carpet -- took a little over an hour, which was very efficient for a fairly large area (and he was working around big pieces of furniture.) When he was finished, we walked through together to be sure I was happy with the results -- I was! -- and then he left. Excellent experience all around and I will definitely use the company again in the future. Recommended!

They arrived promptly on the date of the cleaning. The gentleman was polite and efficient and the stairs and rug were cleaned beautifully!

Lovely experience with Sara and Gina setting this up. You were fantastic dealing with my co-op rules and so understanding. I appreciate that so much. It was a minor job so they charged me their minimum and were done very quickly. I have mainly hardwood floors and just a few rugs, but when I need them cleaned -- and my sofa -- I'll be calling Steamster. Lovely job and three very clean rugs drying right now.

Great reviews, so had to give them a shot. Called looking for a quote to get an 8x10 wool rug (Pottery Barn) cleaned and wrapped. Located in Bay Ridge and service area says they cover Brooklyn, so I was psyched to see what they had to say. Woman on the phone, who was very nice, checked with someone and hopped back on the phone to tell me they don't cover Bay Ridge. Really? Hoping they change their service area on Angie's List to accurately reflect where they conduct business.

I had to have them come back out to get a stain out but they couldn't get the stain out. I'm not very happy with them.

The service was fine. They did a good job. They used steam to clean. Everything was fine. They were efficient. There were additional fees to the $89 Big Deal because I had my carpets cleaned too. I did not have any issues.

As usual -- this must be the third or fourth time I've used them -- all went well. The staffperson who set up the appointment also followed through with a confirmation call the day before, and then an update on arrival time the day of service. The two young men who did the work were intelligent, polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. They moved and replaced furniture as necessary, and were respectful of our house and possessions. The steam cleaning itself is, in my mind, much preferable to carpet shampooing -- it smells less, dries faster, and is non-polluting. I shall certainly be using them again.

It went as planned and everything they touched was spotless when they were done. Nice crew, professional, no drama. Very happy with the service.

It was fine. The young man was very polite and very nice. After they left I noticed that while they did a good job on what was visible, when I opened the closet doors, they had never opened the door to clean the edge of the carpet where the carpet ends. All the other times I had other companies clean my carpet they always make sure to open the closet door so that they can get the edge of the carpet.

Did a very professional job in all aspect from pricing to actual work. Did over 1500 sf of carpet and tile/grout in kitchen - results were excellent, everything looks almost like new, could not ask for better results.

The work that Ralph performed was OUTSTANDING, it was a pleasure doing business with this company from start to finish. I certainly would recommend this company to my family and friends.
