True View Home Inspections

True View was the first company that came up on my Angie's search, I saw great reviews and decided to start there. We needed an inspection done ASAP, I called Tuesday 7/29 and asked for Friday 8/1 knowing it was very short notice. But the customer service rep was delightful and had no issues scheduling us for Friday. We had a 12pm appointment, my husband and I showed up at just a little before and Matt our inspector was already there walking around the property. Matt was AWESOME!! We are first time home buyers and purchasing an older home and had no idea what to look for. Matt took his time to go over his findings and explain what needed to be done imminently and what could wait. He was reassuring that what work/repairs made in the home by the previous owners were done well. The owners were there too and Matt made it a point to speak with them to get additional information on the home. Overall, my husband and I were so pleased with the service and professionalism. We would HIGHLY recommend True View and especially Matt to anyone!

Matt was excellent! I am a first time home buyer and have been living in an apartment in Manhattan for most of my adult life, so I am completely clueless when it comes to how houses "work". He took the time to explain everything in the house to me, showed me how to work the electrical panel, check the boiler, how to turn off the water in case of a pipe bursting, etc etc etc... He went above and beyond and provided me with a thorough inspection report the day after the inspection. His report led to me negotiating some items with the seller to have fixed before we move in. The report was about 20 pages long and had pictures and clear explanations of each item. I couldn't be more pleased with the service he provided and the newfound comfort level I have with my future home! Highly recommended!!!

A very professional and thorough inspection by Justin at True View Home Inspection. Justin was there are ready before we arrived and spend over 2 hours going over every part of the interior and exterior of the house. His report was detailed and ready the next day. I would recommend True View to anyone looking for a home inspection.

Justin was fantastic. This was the second time using him, as our first home purchase fell through. He is responsive, able to schedule quickly, thorough and communicative. He walked us through the house, explaining every aspect of the inspection and answering any and every question we had. He was very thorough in both his verbal and written report. The written inspection was done within 12 hours- amazing. I will definitely use this provider again and will recommend him to my friends and family without any hesitation.

Justin Albano was incredibly responsive, from providing an initial quote via email, which he did out of hours, to booking the inspection as soon as he could etc. He is a young guy, and unlike the last home inspection I did, he didn't talk to me like I was the useless wife, we treated me with the respect I deserve. His inspection was detailed, the report included photos and recommendations. We had some tight deadlines on inspection contingencies on the contract and he hand delivered the radon test to the lab to get a same day result which he didn't have to do, and also didn't charge extra for. His price for the inspection was one of the most competitive and he still honoured an Angie's List coupon for a discount on the radon test. I would 100% recommend True View and will use them for any future inspections or testing we require, I was very impressed.

We were there 5 minutes early for the appointment time and Matthew was already there. He was polite, professional and answered all of our questions. He was thorough and guided us through each step. We were very pleased by his professionalism, punctuality, knowledge and overall expertise. As first time home buyers, we had plenty of questions for him and he took his time to explain things to us. He gave us some advice as to what should be fixed immediately and what should be on our "To Do Down the Line" list. We highly recommend working with True View Inspections and would work with him again in the future.

Wanted an inspection to see what needs to be addressed before we list the house. Learned a lot from Matt who was very knowledgeable. We had a concern with cracks in our stucco and wanted to see if a structural issue. Did not seem to be. Other things he pointed out were very helpful for the projects ahead for us. Although this was a pre-listing inspection which is not as detailed as one where a buyer is having done, thought it was very detailed. Matt was wonderful. Do not hesitate call him.

Justin was able to schedule a the inspection quickly and was flexible when I wanted to adjust the time.. He arrived right on time. I accompanied him on the inspection, which he had highly recommended. He conducted the inspection in a very organized and professional way. He pointed out numerous issues and defects, entering them into his iPad and taking pictures as we went. He tested extensively for moisture problems, termites and leaks. He caught a number of issues I had missed in several walk troughs of the property. He delivered a very thorough report by e-mail the next day which included the pictures he had taken. He clearly had his systems well organized. He went out of his way to check a couple of potential code issues which were outside the scope of the inspection. He very quickly responded to e-mails. Justin is a very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient gentleman and I would happily recommend him for a home inspection.

He was excellent and he was very careful in everything that he did. He explained what he was doing and he had some thoughts and suggestions about what was to be done.

They were great. He was professional and on time. He came knowledgeable. Prior to him coming, I need to get to work so my time was limited but he was not rushing his job, he was a thorough young man. I was surprised because I have some knowledge in building carrier stuff but he was a very knowledgeable man.

Matt was very attentive, professional and thorough. He walked my wife and me through the house in the process, and explained things we are not familiar with. He also took pictures and emailed us the invoice promptly at our request afterwards. Unfortunately that deal did not work out, but now we are going to use him as our inspector for another property we just had accepted offer with. My husband and I selected Justin Albano from Angie's List due to his glowing list of reviews. He was also highy recommended by my husband's co-worker who had used him a few months prior. Justin obliged us by driving 45 minutes to Trumbull, CT and did not complain when stuck in traffic for an additional 45 minutes. He was personable and knowledgable. He began his inspection on the outside. Answered all our questions. Took photos. He continued inside with the electrical, heating system, appliances, everything. Took more photos. Explailned all the systems and had all the answers. A few days later, we received an in-dept report with photos, more like a book, 27 pages in all. Justin was our first experience with Angie's List - we were extremely pleased and would not hestitate to use him again or recommend him. Consequently, we purchased the house he inspected. We also received a discount on the Radon Test.

Great experience from start to finish. Justin gave us a weekend appointment exactly when we wanted, and showed up on time even though the weather was pretty lousy. His inspection was very thorough, and Justin took the time to fully explain everything to us along the way. We received the detailed inspection report exactly when he said we would, less than 48 hours after the inspection. His price was fair and exactly what he quoted us on the phone. Very strongly recommend.

He was prompt, informative, and personable. I just received a detailed report via email. I expect to receive the radon report this week; it's a 6- or 7-day test. This property is a 1500 sf townhouse and the inspection took approximately an hour and a half. I would definitely recommend him.

Justin reached out to me directly not long after making the appointment to confirm the logistics and details which left me at ease and ensured that I didn't need to look elsewhere in case things fell through. We re-confirmed the economics of the transaction to eliminate any confusion about payment once services were rendered. On the day of the inspection, Justin arrived on time as was very cordial. Justin was very responsive and able to inspect the house on short notice. He was punctual and knowledgeable. As we moved through the home, he explained the systems/items and their condition in terms that I could understand. He pointed out potential problem areas for future repair and things that may need more immediate attention. Justin delivered his report within 24 hours and followed up on a couple of occasions to see if I had additional questions. I would definitely recommend True View.

Justin arrived on time and proceded to inspect the outside of the house and roof taking pictures of everything. Then came inside the house and checked everything from walls to plumbing, electricity, boiler, floors.etc. All the time he was explaining everything and answering my questions and easing my concerns. He was very friendly and polite. He e-mailed the results of the inspection to me in order of concerns, major, safety, repairs and improvements. All in all went well . I was very pleased.

True View provided a great experience with regard to a condominium inspection. Justin Albano was very professional from start to finish. He was very punctual, extremely friendly and articulate, and thorough with his inspection. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction. The day after the inspection, I received a well prepared report that helped me make a decision as to whether to go ahead with the purchase or not. I highly recommend him without any reservation!

Justin Albano and True View was highly recommended to us for our home inspection by our selling/buyer agent, who we'd been working with for over a year. From the moment I first reached out to Justin about scheduling (which originally was for another home which fell through), he was very responsive. Overall, the inspection went very well. Justin was very friendly, professional, and answered every question we had - which were numerous! He walked us through each item he was checking, and explained whether or not it was a problem area and how we should go about rectifying it. Even on items that weren't necessarily problematic, but we were just unfamiliar with, he explained general maintenance. We received the report in a timely fashion and it was comprehensive, with recommendations for current and potential future fixes. We did have a number of questions and things we wanted to clarify regarding the report, and Justin continued to be very responsive and helpful in his explanations and recommendations. I would highly recommend Justin and True View!

Very well. Justin walked through the steps of a home inspection with us. He answered all of our questions with a calm and reassuring demeanor. He never made us feel rushed, and he provided the report in a timely fashion.

First off, Matt was very nice and very attentive. We tried Tru-view because for a different house we had looked at we used an engineering company that came recommended. The engineer might have been competent but he paid us little attention during the inspection. He seemed to prefer to take his notes and send us a report without having to speak to us much. Being turned off by the first company, we tried Tru-View when that deal fell through and were looking at a second house. Matt was great. He spoke with us as he did the inspection, pointing things out. He was great at following up and answering questions days after the inspection. That deal fell through also (partially based on Tru-view?s findings) but we didn?t use them for the inspection on our third (and final) prospect. While the engineer from the first company was a disappointment, his report was excellent. After seeing that report, the report received from Tru-view was less impressive. Tru-view also declined to estimate the costs of addressing the issues found. I attributed that (rightly or wrongly) to the fact that they are not engineers. The other reason I wasn?t comfortable going back to them is because Tru-view identified certain issues that they stated an engineer should look into. I felt that if I had engaged an engineer in the first place it would have been more efficient. It wasn?t as if I saved any money by going with Tru-view over an engineering firm. They were comparable priced. We were worried about some retaining walls at the home we eventually purchased. We went back to the same engineering company we first used but made sure to get a different engineer. That worked out fine and we had the experience we expected when they were first recommended to us. In summary, we loved working with Matt and Tru-view but it wasn?t the right fit for what we wanted.
