Description of Work: Gino was terrifiic. I think they did a good job. They were fast and responsive to my concerns. I also used prime to help finish paint my house and the painters they sent were the best. The only problem is that they left 3 rolls of asphalt roofing that they refuse to pick up. I called 3 times, and it still in my driveway.

Description of Work: Roofing job was done satisfactorily, but no one on the job spoke English. I could have had a local contractor do it for less. Man who came to do the estimate did not know it was a lead from Angie. Details of his contract were not the same as Angie's list description.

Description of Work: They made a mistake on the date of service to one that I was working and not available. The second appointment was cancelled because they had no driver. They made the third appointment but I was not at home so my husband had to be available. They did not sand or spackle the area where there was damage (it was a high ceiling). They left early.

Description of Work: update: I have the correct company, my property is in CT. I spoke to someone about siding and painting. They said you service my area. I made a total of 4 calls and an email. I know... you don't show it in your files. It took an email and 2 phone calls to set up a date for an estimate. It was set for a Thursday, the guy called and asked could he reschedule for Friday, I said. To this day (14 day) I have not heard from anyone. yes

Description of Work: This company promised to come by at 12:00. He never showed up nor did he call me after I left a message for him to call. I then called again and asked him to let me know what was up and he still did not call me.

Description of Work: The representative was very polite and professional. He described what he was to do; and he went to get his ladder and he checked the condition of the roof. Also, he informed me that he will followed up with a check list in the mail of things needed to be done; if any. He was a man of his word; and I received the list within a couple of weeks. His comments included highlight areas of concern and any rapid degradation in the roof system. Over all, it was a pleasant experience and I would use Prime Home Improvements, Inc. again. Eunice E. Description of Work: The two painters, who were working at my home for 8 hours, were skilled and neat. There were miscellaneous indoor and outdoor tasks, and performed all professionally and courteously. For example, they knew how to prepare and paint exterior concrete that was flaking and required scraping and sanding. Additionally, they caulked and painted exterior wood molding. They were experienced at knowing how long each project would take and stuck to the list I set out. My only complaint was with the central booking service provider who was impatient with the few clarifying questions I asked before beginning the work, and who sent the painters out on a day I requested to be rescheduled by email and two days earlier.

Description of Work: Painting of exterior of my home, 2 men 8 hours. Initially it was difficult to make contact with the company, however after making contact the company provided exactly the service I had signed up for. The painters that ac tually did the job were great to deal with and did a really great job. The 2 men, 8 hours did not finish the job because it was a job that could not be finished in that time frame, but I hope to bring them back to finish the job.

Description of Work: Two painters arrived at our home by 9 AM ready to go. I must say I really got my moneys worth out of the guys. They spackled my walls where needed, primed the walls and ceilings then painted. They painted my Living Room, Hallway and Bathroom. Mauro and Julian took the time to remove all the blinds and the hardware before they painted all the woodwork and baseboard. They even pinted the radiator in the Living Room. After a very long 8 hour day, they put all the hardware and blinds back up then cleaned up. The rooms were SPOTLESS. I would use this company again. I plan to have my Master beadroom and upstairs hallways pinted and will absolutely call upon Prime Home Improvement. Thank you so much for having such competant and professional people working for you.

Description of Work: Prime HomeImprovement Inc. painted the interior of my house. The first scheduled appointment was cancelled by them due to the truck breaking down enroute. It was disappointing, but when they did come and complete the job, I was very satisfied. I was also happy that when additional time/ days were needed that they were very fair about the pricing! I would definitely recommend them and use them again if iI needed to. The two painters were very responsible and very neat.

Description of Work: thank goodnes Angie's list has an excellent refund policy. these people were horrible. you never spoke to an actual person. all you ever got was an answering service or an email. i wanted this as gift for my daughter and i had an email confirming that my daughter lived in their service area, but when she tried to schedule an appointment they said that they did not service her area. i would never, ever use these people under any circumstances. thank you Angie's list for processing the full refund so quickly.

Description of Work: After the ice storm I contacted the company to remove ice from the roof. They came the next morning and did a wonderful job.They shoveled the roof averting a collapse and water damage to my ceilings. I was able to get an on-line coupon and the price was very reasonable.

Description of Work: Complete removal of two old layers of shingles. Underlayment, Ice dam preventer, new layer of shingles, all flashing. Done in 2 days. The guys worked long and hard, did a beautiful job. Cleaned up the property diligently. Could not be more pleased with the experience.

Description of Work: Put in a request with angies list and spoke with someone from prime contracting office on wednesday April 25 we spoke about doing an estimate , they said that a Ron Scufitella? Would be out the next morning(9 am) to give me an estimate on the roof and I wanted to discuss another job ( kitchen Renovation) . I took time off work to meet this guy and sitting there waiting , when I called @9:45 to confirm they didnt know who I was. Thank you Prime contracting for wasting my time. I glad that I found out now how reliable this company is before i paid any money And now I will find some one who will. I would not recommend this company to change a light bulb.....

Description of Work: I just wanted you to know how pleased I was with the painters sent by Prime Home Improvement sent by way of the special offer on Angie List. The men were courteous, efficient, very cooperative with my requests, and did a great professional job with painting my large living room and adjacent hallway. They vacuumed after each day's work, hung my pictures when the painting was completed, and put every piece of furniture back in place. I have been asked by several people in the building about my experience with the painters, and have highly recommended the company and these two painters, Edgar and Thalmo.

Description of Work: It was for a roofing repair type thing. Water had gone through the roof and damaged over the garage door so they had to build it back up.

Description of Work: In my 30 years in business as a manager of Real Estate properties Prime Home Improvementss is the worst company I have ever hired. They started the work on Monday (August 23,2011). On the following Monday (8/29/11) one of their Supervisors came to the house and asked for payment. I gave him a check for most of the contracted price of the project with a small balance left. After giving him the check they walked away from the job the next day without finishing the project. There are numerous items in our contract which they have not even start working on it. After numerous phone conversation and letters the contractor failed to come back and complete the job. Very inresponsibile people.Litigation in court pending. Also: I noticed that every day there were 2 to 4 workers coming to the house to work and every time they were different guys(except one). Poor qualaty of work: When they were painting they did not scrape any loose old paint. They just painted over. They started to install sheetrock in one of the closet but they left the room ceiling unfinished. The workers were in my house for a week and during this time none of their supervisers ever came inside the house to inspect the job. They came only to the front door to pick up the payments. I will never use them again for any work.

Description of Work: I bought a big deal for their services. It took me four phone calls to make an appointment with them. I finally set up an appointment with them. I was home for the appointment and they never showed up. I called them and they apologized because they said that their car broke down. We set up another appointment which took place while I was at work. I checked my gutters after they said they had come out. The gutters were just as dirty as they were to begin with. No services had been preformed.

Description of Work: "Prime" came quickly & gave us a reasonable price quote. They were very professional. We picked another contractor to do our siding/painting work but felt "Prime" would have been an excellent alternative. We will probably use "Prime" in the future

Description of Work: I was very unsatisfied with their service. After purchasing this "deal", it took several phone calls on my part to schedule this service. They did not call back when they said they would. Finally, after setting this up for a specific date, they came a week early when I wasn't home and performed the service. Recently, I saw a similar gutter cleaning service deal listed for $69, less than half of what I paid for the same service. Angies's list should do a better job of vetting it's providers, and making sure the amount they are charging is a reasonable fee. Seeing a deal for the same service 4 months later listed on your site just makes me feel like i'd been gypped. Amy Jo

Description of Work: During the storms this winter we had ice damming and 3 feet of snow on our roof. We called Prime and they arranged to come out and clear the snow & ice from our roof. We were impressed that they responded so quickly at a time when all roofers and other contractors were swamped with calls from frantic homeowners. A few days later there was another storm and we started having leaks in our upstairs hallway. We called Prime again, and Melvin (more on him later) responded right away. He told us that when they had removed the snow they saw that our roof was in terrible shape and we knew it to be true, as the roof was already old when we bought the house 17 years ago. Since there were already several roofs, we needed the full deal - removing the old roofs down to the wood and starting from scratch. Prime was able to move quickly, and on the only two days that week when it was not snowing they swooped in, did the job, and were gone, leaving virtually no trace of their presence. I've never had a contractor be so quick, so responsive and so neat! They worked with our insurance adjuster, providing the documentation needed to adjust our claim and reviewing it on the phone. We have been working with Melvin (Mel) Aurellana, the son-in-law of the owner. He is a pleasure to work with - he is totally responsive, returning each of our phone calls promptly, always showing up when he says he will. He's a genuinely nice guy, with none of the attitudes we've dealt with from other contractors in the past. We were so pleased with our experience that we have also hired Prime to do the repairs from the leaks as well as replacing our front door and two basement windows, jobs that we had been putting off partly due to reluctance to deal with the hassles of finding someone to do it. They were very accomodating in scheduling the work around our schedules. We'll report on how this job goes, but we feel very positive about it as of now!
