.I couldn't guess how much work could be accomplished in the time allotted so I had quite a long list ready. In one day the two painters painted my cellar door, garage door, scraped and prepped one cellar window, enameled all the trim on the first story front of the house so beautifully I couldn't believe it, and in the time remaining started staining the porch floor. They did the finicky work up against the wall so I wouldn't have to do any hands and knees work. This was the entire list I'd prepared. I'd hoped they would be able to get to half of it at best. I can't praise the men and the work they did highly enough.

They came and they were fine. I ultimately went with another contactor. I decided not to go with them. I didn't have to pay extra. They didn't do anything. The gentleman who came was nice enough. They seem more general. They do various different things as opposed to a company who does roofs.

Very satisfied with this provider. I would highly recommend them.

I am not an expert to judge how well the roof was installed but the flashing was a disaster. Prime Home installed a new roof in 2011 and I thought at the time they did a decent job. They were fairly responsive and did the job quickly and cleanly. Soon after the problems started. The chimney flashing was leaking. They had to come a few times to try to fix it but only kept putting more caulking. Apparently that had worked for a while until a few months ago the leak started again. I called them to setup an appointment. No one showed on the day, no one returned any calls. I got several other contractors and all of them determined the flashing was not done correctly the first time. I had to completely remove the 4-year old flashing and replace it with a new one.

I purchased a big deal with this company, only to find out they didn't come this far south in NJ. I did get my money refunded.

Provider cleared snow from roof, but piled much of it on the deck outside the kitchen and dining room, thereby creating a load and leakage problem. The obvious thing to do was to offload the snow to the driveway. The deck had been cleared prior to their arrival, so reloading the deck with snow was a lazy and unthinking thing to do. The crew also left a half eaten sandwich in the driveway!

This job originally started out as a siding and window job. When the siding was removed it was revealed that appr. 50% of the entire 2nd floor of the building was cracking and collapsing. The building was evacuated of the tenants and a structural engineer was called in to draw plans for the Renovation. 3 stages were planned for the renovation. Stage 1- The shoring of the entire interior of the building to make it safe to work in. Prime said they could start immediately and get this job done efficiently and economically. Stage 1 was a disaster with many wasted days of 1- 2 laborers with no foreman thus no leadership- no production. Plans were not followed in many areas and the much of the shoring had to be rebuilt and redone due to inferior materials and workmanship. As a result I had no intention of re-hiring prime for the actual rebuild of the building. I started to solicit bids from quality Contractors for Stages 2&3 . Prime(Mel and Gino) met with me and assured me that stage 2 would be done with their premier foremen and laborers and that they would work thru the weather, 7 days a week until this job was complete. They told me it would take 3-4 weeks max to complete the job. I took them for their word and awarded them the contract for stage 2. Stage 2 -Removal of the old cinder block and rebuilding of the entire exterior 2nd floor. For the most part- Prime came thru with the promise of a good crew and the foreman Eddie was thorough and honest- unfortunately Eddie went missing much of the time to other jobs and as what usually happens- the quality gets lost. The labor of removing the block was a brutal task and Prime did a fairly good job removing the block from the building but was grossly inefficient in removing the debris from the site in a timely manner. As a result- the debris built up everywhere on the site and quickly became a toxic dump with black dust and rubble everywhere on my property and surrounding properties. I was told that there would be a daily cleanup and this absolutely was not the case. Additionally- Live electrical boxes(5) were simply buried in the new walls, insulation was omitted from an entire wall, The interior of the building was left open to the elements constantly with dust and freezing weather blowing thru out. Blacksoot was tracked thru the carpeting and floors creating a huge mess for my tenants space. Plans were not followed as drawn out by the engineer and I was not alerted to these omissions.Last but not least- Prime wanted to be paid in full in January 2015 but due to the weather they could not complete the job as stated in the contract. Mel promised to return first thing in the spring "as soon as the weather breaks" to finish removing the debris (which was everywhere), attempt to remove the stained concrete sidewalks from the debris field with power washing and acid wash, fill the cracks and holes in the foundation with cement, resurface and exterior staircase and paint the lower half of the building with 2 coats of paint. I told Mel I wanted to hold $5000 until the job was complete but he pleaded that he needed the last payment to pay bills.Unfortunately I reluctantly paid them in full for everything except apprx. $1200 I contacted Mel in April 'when the weather broke' and after a few tries of trying to contact Mel- he informs me that he cannot get to my site until at least 3 weeks- weather permitting. 4 weeks went by and I heard nothing from Prime. I tried 4x to contact Prime with no luck. Finally Mel texts me back and states- He can send a painter on the following saturday. SEND A PAINTER?? I needed laborers and skilled men to cleanup the mess they left me with. I told them I couldn't wait for 'A PAINTER on a saturday'. Clearly they had/have no intention of fulfilling their promise to complete the job.I have not heard one word from Prime as of this date. I have spent an additional $6500 getting the work done that prime was supposed to finish. To top it all off. Mel has the nerve to text me and I quote " you are not a man of your word in all aspects of business"! I asked him to simply state ONE FACT- when I was untruthful with him - just one! he said he did not have time to do so. This man made a huge mistake attacking me personally when all I did was make sure my building was rebuilt correctly and not in an unsafe manner which would've been done had I not been on the site 7 days a week- 12 hours per day making sure the work was done correctly. My insurance company would not cover one dime of the renovation due to the fact that it was an ongoing problem. Despite this financial hardship I scrambled for finances and I paid Prime in the timely manner in which they required- never missed a payment and did everything asked of me. I will state this fact. Prime will cut corners anywhere they can. They will tell you they will do something and it doesn't get done. They will conveniently forget telling you that there will be a credit issued for areas not needing renovation.They will take their skilled men/foreman off the job and leave the job undone or done improperly. Prime will leave you hanging with a job not finished and expect payment in full. Stage 3- Roof removal, replacement and gutter installation. - Let me just say this. Prime was in charge of completely rebuilding my building from 9 ft below the roof rafter tails to the roof ridge. They had a blank canvas in which to rebuild with proper Ice and water shield, roofing and siding. This past winter Prime completed the roof and exterior by Jan.15th. In February we got loads of snow and Ice. My building leaked horribly due to Ice damming. I asked Prime about this problem and they stated it was due to the heat in the attic. I contacted numerous roofing contractors regarding this problem and EVERYONE of them stated that given the fact that prime was working with a completely new surface area- they failed to install the Ice and water shield correctly as if done correctly- ice will indeed form at the gutters due to attic warmth but will not penetrate the building with proper Ice and water protection. Last but not least - the Gutters had two seams. Both leaked as if they were never sealed. It took 2 months for prime to seal the gutters. As I stated- If I were not on the job site every day during the entire project I would've had live wires sitting bare in the walls, I would've had 50 linear ft of a new exterior wall installed without ANY insulation . I would've had no caulking on the bottom sills of the new siding, The new siding would've failed in a short time at the base as prime originally installed the base incorrectly. (I made them tear it out and re-do it correctly). The rain water would've filled the lower existing concrete blocks with huge amounts of water with no place to drain adding a severe mold,mildew and eventually a possible foundation failure simply due to Prime not protecting the open/ exposed foundation blocks from the rain. (I had to cover these open areas no less than 3x during torrential downpours with tarps to insure water did not enter after the crews left at night). Additionally- I made endless trips to the supply houses picking up masks, screws, lumber, sheetrock, sand, concrete, expansion bolts, drill bits, caulk, glue, tape, tarps, plastic, and more. All of which I never asked for a dime in compensation either for my time or the materials. I simply did it to keep the job moving. All this material should have been on the site - supplied by prime - this is what responsible contractors do. In the end- all I asked for was what I was paying a huge amount of money for- a job done right and efficiently so I could get make Tenants back in the building. In the end all I got was a huge mess left with an unfulfilled promise to finish it. In the end all Prime could do was insult me with no basis. In the end It was Prime who was untruthful.

I was satisfied. The company sent 2 techs who were there for a couple of hours. The workers didn't have the proper equipment (the correct ladder size and so forth) but they did what they agreed to do.

Went great - removed ice dam - everything is fine

Had to cancel. Work no longer required. No problem with refund.

It worked out fine. They were very clean. They cleaned up very nicely afterward.

They never performed any services, I feel totally ripped off.

They were great! Very professional, came on time, worked quickly and worked hard! Nothing but good things to say about them.

I thought they were great and were friendly and showed up on time and he explained what he was going to do, asked him a few question about other things not related to gutters and answered them. Very nice, and would use them in the future.

Prime Home Improvement (PHI) showed up for scheduled estimate meeting. However, the person sent was unable to provide estimation services and said he would be back later in week with a specialist who could help him estimate the work (this despite having been specific about the job that I was having them come to estimate). He said he would have me an estimate within a week. Two weeks, three emails and two calls later, I finally received an estimate. It lacked any detail about how much for stucco work vs. driveway replacement. I asked for clarification and specifics about what would be covered and several existing client references. Another two weeks, three emails and one call later, still no details. This seems very suspicious to me. I think that I am lucky that I dodged the bullet that would likely have come if I used them.

They arrived on time. They set up very quickly and removed all the snow that was on our roof. The snow did not block any of our home entrances or parking after they left.

They were out within a week of me purchasing the deal. They repaired an area with loose shingles. The service was fine.

Everything turned out well, and it was a smooth process from start to finish. Unfortunately, it was difficult to verify the work since they completed the job while we weren’t at home and since the work was done on the roof.

The company was completely unresponsive and never emailed me back, so the deal was canceled.

I purchased a Big Deal for $99 I had to pay an additional cost because the job was longer than two hours. I sent them a check for the additional cost but they somehow lost it and I had to provide them with the check number so they can locate it.

The staff was very upfront and respectful. However, their gutter cleaning cost was a bit high. They are still worth considering because of the sincerity and patience they demonstrate.

The positives in my dealing with this provider was the ability to quickly schedule the roof maintenance and promptly showing up in the scheduled window, and communication about what he saw on roof and cemented. The negatives I don't think enough time was actually spent on the roof checking and caulking. Also though they told me about different teapots needed. I never received a quote for those additional repairs. Also we discussed at some length a siding replacement/repair around window they they would give me quote on however they never provided quote and only after I made follow was I told they don't have anyone availabe to do the work and I should call another contractor , which I believe is their way of saying they don't want to do that job since they didn't say give option of waiting till they have someone to do job. Overall I had a mediocre experience with this firm. If the dont like the smaller repair jobs they won't get my business for larger projects. Too bad bc they r local

Ron from Prime coordinated the project and Manuel and his crew were not only detailed in their work but corrected any issues that I pointed out as the project went along.

Work has not been done and I have no idea when it will be done.
