They did a wonderful job. They checked all three of my flues but only two needed to be done.

My gutters to my new home were pretty clogged/filthy and I needed them cleaned ASAP. Fred's was there in a few days and did a great job! They were punctual, professional and reasonably priced. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, either for cleaning my house gutters or fixing up my chimney.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked fine. They were thorough and everything was done as needed. It was all very good.

Everything went seemously, they were very professional. I think they did a good job. It was done pretty quick, within two weeks. What stood out for me is their knowledge, I hired them just to do a gutter cleaning but when they came down I said I meant to ask you something about the chimney and he told me everything about the chimney without me even asking so the guy was proactive.

I purchased 50' of gutter guards through the Angie's List Big Deal and promptly got a phone call to schedule measuring of my gutters. Mike Antonio arrived as right on time, gave me a written estimate as well as a list of the company's services. I was happy to see that they remove satellite dishes, definitely wanted that done. We also discussed a fireplace cleaning and, based on Mike's professionalism and the company's reputation, I decided to work take care of all of it. The office was great with scheduling and confirming, the work and cleanup was done with no surprises. Mike even stayed late to upgrade my dryer vent, which I wanted done but had forgotten to schedule. Mike left me with written reminders for annual fireplace and dryer vent cleaning, and I will happily call them for future work . Spending money is never fun, but my gutters are now guarded, the wood fireplace is cleaned, the gas fireplace was inspected, and the dryer vent has been upgraded. Mike made it all quick and painless - dealing with Fred's Chimney Magic was a perfect experience from start to finish.

The workman seemed curt, in a hurry. I had expected suggestions on what to do with a hanging, somewhat misplaced gutter/downspout, but this was not mentioned, and the workman finished within the hour. The questions that were answered were done so in a hurried, somewhat annoyed manner.

We don't use our fireplace often (except during Superstorm Sandy), but we wanted to be sure the chimney was clean and safe before we used it at all. The technician was prompt, tidy, and answered all my questions.

It went very well. They did some additional work for me. I think it was I had a flue pipe that was short and whoever installed it before I had used some foil tape on it and they told me this is not going to be good so they put a new one in. I would use them again in the future.

I already mailed this info to you. Both John and his wife Diane were very efficient and also very pleasant to deal with. Because I had an emergency they did the work on Sunday. If you don't' get my original comments, I'll do it again. I highly recommend this company.

My experience was fantastic from start to finish. Scheduling was extremely easy and everybody was friendly. I bought Angie's List deals to sweep my chimney and clean my gutters, and also had the dryer vent cleaned. This was all done on a house I just bought, so I was unfamiliar with where all the pipes were, etc. Chris came and was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The work ended up being more complicated than anticipated - the dryer vent was going into the walls and the dryer was heating up to crazy temperatures because of it (something I did not know). It took a while, but Chris and his partner found the vent behind a closet wall and under our deck, as well as in a random crawl space we didn't know existed. They cleaned out a bunch of disgustingness from it, and spoke with me about warning signs of issues should they arise. The chimney was swept, the gutters were cleaned, and both were done quickly and efficiently. After all the work was completed (which took them a lot of extra time, but they never complained, just kept smiling), they gave me estimates of other work to be done on the chimney if we so chose. He was very honest and said we can use our chimney as is but the condition was deteriorating. He even pointed out the estimates he thought were necessary and the ones that were completely optional for down the line. He also left a bunch of paperwork for chimney education. All in all, my significant other and I were beyond satisfied with this company, with Chris, and with his polite partner, and would recommend this company to anybody. We will be calling them shortly to complete further work on our chimney, and will have them come yearly to clean our dryer vent and gutters. A++!

They were able to complete all but adding vermiculite between the new stainless liner and the brick on the same visit when they came merely to "see the job" to be done. The whole thing took two hours. The work looks immaculate, and they cleaned up very well. While a return visit to add the vermiculite will be necessary, it won't take long at all. The " add ons" were about $600, plus sales tax paid on that plus the original amount paid to Angie's Big Deal. Tommy and Eduardo were my technicians, and they were efficient, competent and friendly.

Very friendly and professional, both in person and over the phone. The technicians were thorough and super clean, no mess and very accomodating.

Saw that my husband is ill and rather than making me replace the whole unit while replacing cap, applied silicone to base to help prevent leaking. Found the repairmen to be very nice and businesslike.

The company is very professional and organized. An appointment was scheduled and kept to first come see the chimney/brick work to be done and then a seperate appointment was made to do the actual work. Having an Angie's List coupon/discount worked out great. The total was $800.00 which is less than average for that type of work. Now we don't have to worry about more brick falling apart when winter comes with snow storms.
