They checked & cleaned the fireplace and boiler chimney, did a complete inspection of both and let me know if there were any areas that needed my attention.. |They were very knowlegable and very helpful...Also very pleaseant to work with..they did a GREAT JOB!!!!

It was perfect. It was a fine experience and they came out the next day. They sent 2 guys out to do the job and they were professional, fast, and great.

I called during a busy time so it took about a month for me to get an appointment but I understood they were very busy. The service turned out well. Two technicians came for the service and they were able to install the replacement flu right on the spot. They did a very good job cleaning up after themselves.

They cleaned my dryer vent and put "2" new chimney caps This is a first rate company. Extremely courteous and easy to work with from estalishing the appointment to completing their work in a timely manner.

They arrived exactly on time. I had a chimney cleaned and anew chimney cap installed. We asked to check the gutters and see if they needed to be cleaned and they did. Very professional. I would definitely use them again next year.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was pretty good. I am kind of neutral about the service; not extremely happy or unhappy. I don't think I will go out of my way to recommend them. I think the service was a little overpriced.

We had a time scheduled between 2-4 on Monday. She called me at noon and said I had to come right then because of the weather. I said that I could not because of work, we set up another time for today before 11. They never showed, so I called Angie's List and they canceled the appointment for me because I had to get back to work. After that the woman at the office called me three times from three different numbers to my cell phone. Finally, I answered and she told me that we never had an appointment today, she claimed that she had never spoken to me. She was lying and I told her that I did not want to discuss it anymore. I asked her not to call me again and that I had hired another company. this company has been harrassing me since i cancelled the appointment - non stop phone calls from different numbers, he actually came to my house and taped up his picture with "CALL ME" written on it, and now i am getting mail....it may be a good company - but this is totally over stepping boundries, I WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE....or should i just call the police? and in answer to his empty house comment - the contractors were there and I WAS AT WORK! the house was NOT empty, and his comment about the appointments - again - LIES!!! he NEVER showed up for the appointment - because when i called angies list it was 20 minutes AFTER the scheduled time. After this whole thing is when i was told that i NEVER spoke to them. The appointment was NOT for a cement crown either!

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was good. They came in, did the job they needed to do and it was fine. I thought about buying an over-the-counter apparatus to do this work. It was similar to what they used, but I decided to use them instead. Otherwise, they served their purpose and did a fine job.

Everything went fine. We used a Angie's List deal, but it only covered the chimney sweep for the fireplace, not our furnace, so we added another one. They were very accommodating during scheduling. I had to reschedule several times.

For the most part, it went well. It was a big deal, offering the Timber Wolf stove. While he was selling the product, he did not know the product. He said that it was going to be $250 more for the Timber Wolf. I wish that I had gone with the Napoleon stove, instead of the Timber Wolf. The Timber Wolf sticks out more than I would like it to and the blower is in the front instead of the back. The performance is phenomenal and I run it everyday. It is heating the downstairs and part of the upstairs. He did good work and I thought that the amount he charged me was very reasonable. He was very prompt and when he said he would be here, he was here. He now knows the Timber Wolf stove.

Fred cleaned and inspected my fireplace chimney! Not a spec of soot was anywhere. He and his helper were neat, clean, respectful, professional, and very informative. Fred also has a wonderful sense of humor! I asked him if he had the time to clean and inspect the boiler flue. No problem! He found a couple of code issues and wrote out a detailed proposal for a new liner with little drawings he did himself! He also had a huge portfolio filled with tons of information. That was very impressive! I rehired him to install a spring loaded damper for my chimney. Thanks Fred!

We bought a Deal on Angie's List to have another vendor clean our boiler flue and provide 12-point inspection. We bought the home only a few years ago and had not had this cleaned before so we were clueless as to its present condition. The other vendor performed the work and reported that our brick chimney was "condemned" and needed to be completely rebuilt from the roof line up. He showed me up-close phone video of masonry chipping away at the slightest touch and bricks easily moved out of place. Cost was $3,000 with a 10% Angie's List discount: $2,700. As best practice dictates we wanted a second opinion and called JFT. Fred came to the house the SAME DAY and stated the chimney just needed some touch up work. He also recommended capping the t-cap at bottom of chimney liner, sealing off the clean-out door at base of chimney, and insulating it all with vermiculite. Without giving any sort of hard sell whatsoever, he said these measures would greatly improve efficiency and save money on heating oil in the long run. Total cost for the repair and insulation combined: $700. We scheduled the work and the office called the day before to confirm and again a little while before they were to arrive. Fred and his team were punctual, courteous, and professional throughout. When he completed the scheduled work he recommended caps for the plumbing vents to keep debris and rodents out (we have a big tree on our property so leaf/branch debris on roof/gutters is prevalent). When I asked when he could schedule it, Fred said they were on the truck and could do it right then and there for $79 each, all included. It's been nearly a month now and early observations indicate that we are indeed using less oil than during comparable periods in years past. So Fred not only saved us $2,000 for the masonry repair job, he fixed something (insulation) that I didn't even know was a problem (and original vendor made no mention of) that will save us $$$ on heating oil for many years to come. This is easily our best experience with a contractor/vendor since we bought the house four years ago. I would highly recommend, and personally plan to use, Fred/JFT for any and all services they provide. In fact, I am about to schedule a chimney cleaning with JFT right now.

They were great. They came in, were punctual as well and they did the job quickly and they went out within 15-20 minutes.

Both Chris and George were friendly and courteous. Apparently my chimney was already pretty clean, so they were not there long. Chris recommended that I have the chimney wall fixed within a year as it is showing signs of decay, and he gave me some reading materials on the subject, as well as an estimate of what I can expect to pay.

The entire process took just over an hour, and I believe they sent out two techs. They cleaned up after themselves - there was no muck on the ground after they left. They recommended some gutter caps, but didn't find any damage. Overall, they did a nice job.

Making the appt. was no problem, but the first appt. was canceled due to a truck breaking down. The contractors were late for the rescheduled appt. (the office called to say they were stuck in traffic, but when they arrived, the contractor, who smelled of beer, told me he had a rough night). They got right to work and sorted out all of my gutter issues. Offered short and long term suggestions / upgrade etc. Overall the work was ok, but it would have been great if they were a bit more professional.

I bought a special on Angie's List for Gutter Cleaning. These guys came on time, did a fantastic job (I have an extensive gutter system on a 3 story house), and they cleaned up after themselves. They left me a detailed listing of items I should think about updating and i will be making another appointment with them for these upgrades.

I had purchased a Big Deal for $149 which gave me $300 credit towards a job. We recently had a large bush removed which had blocked the view to the chimney. Without the bush, we were able to see just how bad our chimney looked. I mainly wanted cosmetic repairs done. Fred came over for a consultation and was able to immediately spot other problems that were more important than cosmetic. He is so knowlegdable that I trusted his judgment. He broke down the pricing so that we could decide on how much or how little we wanted done. We took his advice on most of what he recommended. He was prompt, courteous, took the time to explain thoroughly what he was doing. I would definitly use him again if the need arises.

They showed up two days before the scheduled date for some reason and very early when I was not ready. I was using the $79 Angie's coupon for this service. When they showed up they started right away and was done in less then 10 mins. BUT was very quick to hand me addiontion "options" to upgrade my chimmney cover at a cost of $500. To be honest they both look liked very shaddy characters are were looking all around other parts of my hosue like upstairs when they had no reason to. I would not use them ever again.
