Chimney got cleaned. Everything good.

Arrived punctually and were careful not to create a mess. Both men seemed knowledgeable and capable.

Both times, we were very pleased with the service: prompt, courteous, efficient and thorough. Couldn't ask for a better experience from the initial contact setting up the appointment through the completion of the work to the prompt follow-up call. Already planning on using them to clean my gutters.

Unable to do the dryer vent cleaning due to an issue with my dryer. Since that couldn't be done didn't make sense to do chimney cleaning. Great customer service by the company.

My experience with them was good. They couldn’t finish the job and so they came back and did the rest of the job. They did follow-up schedule and everything was good. They did the job well and quickly. Their price and quality were good. They were on time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I was very pleased with them. They did a nice job. They have to call me for follow up, but I just haven't done anything with that yet. They were very reliable. This is very important because a lot of places say they are going to come and they don't show up. They showed up and they were right on target when they came out here. The guy explained everything to me, I had a copy of what he was saying, and explained to me the pros and cons of doing anything if I wanted to in the future. I was satisfied with them. They were right here on time.

Very professional. We moved into a new house a few months ago and wanted to get the chimney swept before we used it. Chris and Chris were very pleasant and knowledgeable about chimneys. The sweep was quick and clean, but they showed me some potential problems we have in our chimney. The nice part was they didn't oversell their services. They just left me with some literature on the different ways to insulate and protect your chimney and some estimates. If we do decide to do a full insulation I will definitely call these guys.

I contacted this provider through the Big Deal. Three appointments were made but were rescheduled due to cold weather and icing. The installers safety was considered since they needed to walk on the roof. Each time the office dispatcher called the day before with a two hour window that the installers would arrive. On the day of cancellation, the office dispatcher called early enough to notify me. When the weather report looked favorable the dispatcher and I agreed on a day. Again, she called the day before with a two hour window. Two men came to complete the service. One man cleaned the gutters and put the debris in a plastic bag. Both installed the guards. The Big Deal was $299.00 for 50 feet of getter guards. I had over 140 feet, and paid the additional cost, plus the two caps. I appreciated the communication with the office and the professionalism of the installers.

Extremely polite and timely. Good anatomy of chimney diagram. Careful written recommendations. Cleaned length of vent with brushes on long metal wires. Attn to detail in removing the lint. Cleaned chimney and recommended inspection of gas chimney flue, repointing loose bricks in back wall of fireplace, noted that smoke chamber was missing ceramic mortar and recommended sealing with ceramic mortar. This additional work was done on 12/18/13. It also uncovered crumbling clay liner and mortar in the gas flue---Mike recommended a stainless steel liner, but didn't feel one large enough in diameter could be place to handle the BTU output of 2 concurrently working gas boilers. Thoughts were to see if an electric switch were available so only one boiler working at a time, and if not, then consider mounting an EXHAUSTO chimney fan... We decided to seek a second opinion. With some additional work, involving jackhammering a hole in the chimney to place a larger stainless steel liner, the second company completed the work. As a result of the size of liner able to be installed, it was felt the other measures were no longer necessary.

Company came earlier than expected and did a terrific job cleaning a somewhat clogged dryer vent. Terrific and professional work.

Technician was knowledgeable and work seems well done. Issue was an old dryer vent (flexible plastic) which was out of code approval and could not be cleaned. Tech returned and installed a new rigid pipe. Dryer working well.

Their communication with the customer is first-rate. They scheduled online, then called several times to confirm time and date. They then followed up with calls to ensure the service had been performed to my satisfaction.

Very simple. Person was able to re-attach handle. Only took a few minutes. Could have had me replace the whole thing because I don't know any better. Very honest. They even called the next day to make sure that I was satisfied. I will call on these guys again.

It worked out great. They were good. They came when they said they would. Their prices were fair. The cleaning turned out good. I believe that big deal wasn't including the tax. I paid slightly more than that for about $5.85. We scheduled an appointment that was convenient for us. I would give them an excellent grade. They were pretty much what they said they would do. I would definitely use them in the future.

They put a chimney cap on and cleaned my fire place.

Fred's Chimney Magic was wonderful to work with. Annette contacted me promptly and returned my calls/emails right away! They were so accommodating and professional. They worked around my time constraints and happily rescheduled when I had a funeral and forgot to cancel. They came to the house and left a card in the door. When they came the second time the gutters were frozen and they were only able to do the fireplace. The gentlemen were so polite and explained everything so clearly and answered any questions I had. They actually returned Christmas Eve to do the gutters!!! I will definitely use them again in the future!!

Fred's Chimney was very professional and responsive. The lovely woman at the office made us an appt that was kept/on time for inspection; Mike advised us on the work needed in our new home on both the Furnace Chimney and the Wood Fireplace and did not push for work to be done that day or otherwise. We received a call from the office to confirm that Mike came on time, and she negotiated a great price for the work for the Furnace Chimney (due to Angie's List) and did not push for us to do the Wood Fireplace (which would have been an additional $6k). Mike and his assistant came early to do the work, were very professional and spent 6 hours in the cold on my roof. I would use Fred's Chimney Magic Again.
