Chimney Magic did a great job in cleaning out the dryer vent.very professional and the price was fair. And we will use them every year for our annual cleaning.

I had a contractor give me an estimate on converting my oil furnace to gas and just happened to take a peek inside the exhaust flu and noticed a virtual complete blockage with broken and disintegrated pieces of the original terra cotta liner. I immediately went to Angie's List to find the highest rated chimney cleaners and the people at Fred's were so incredibly nice and responsive. I had 2 guys at my house within 2 hours cleaning it all out. I couldn't believe how much was in there. Now the exhaust is completely clear and I can feel safe that harmful gases won't be backing up into my house. Originally the cleaning was only $79, but while the workers were on my roof, they noticed that my chimney cap was the incorrect size and was being held on by silicone and a prayer so I had them replace the cap as well for an additional $189.

All the technicians were very professional. Mike arrived at my property on Monday, February 17, 2014, and gave me an estimate for the repair/replacement, and due to the nature of the cold weather, was able to set up an appointment for two days later, Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Mike and his two co-workers, George and Alonzo, arrived on time Wednesday morning and got started immediately. The broke all the old cracked clay that lined the inside wall of the chimney, and after cleaning out the debris, replaced the chimney carefully with the stainless steel lining (three story building). After the lining was completed, they repaired the top of my chimney atop the roof and placed a stainless steel cover on it. Their work was both neat and efficient.

The guys arrived promptly and did an incredibly thorough sweep and clean... They were very helpful as I am a first time fireplace owner. They answered all my questions professionally and explain how things work.. I would use them again and also recommend them to my friends and families

The service provided to me by Fred's Chimney Magic/JFT was fine. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They were good. The price with the coupon was good. They were very careful and very clean. They were very good with professionalism.

They provided an estimate for additional services that I have seen before from another service provider. The estimate was reasonable and the service they provided was clean and thorough.

Tom, Eduardo and Ron did a very good job on a more difficult job than originally thought. The double chimney configuration was such that modifications to the outside chimney and the basement foundation was needed in order to get around the original chimney design. They were on time for the original assessment and the work to be performed 2 days later and came the following day to finish up. The work and the cleanup was done very well. Would use them again.

They did good work and I was happy with the service. They were also able to point out a few problems that I would not have noticed otherwise.

The service was good. When they cleaned out the vent the flipper that flips open outside when the vent is going broke off. They came back and replaced the flipper at no additional charge. They were responsive and kept me informed on when they would come back for the service. They are a good outfit to work with.

Provider was punctual and kept the area around the fireplace very clean during the service. They were very quick and courteous. I checked the chimney after they left and it appears they did a good job.

They did an OK job, they had me worried when one of them climbed on top of my boiler to access the chimney opening in the basement. I guess the clearance behind the heater is for skinny people so it was a little tense as I wasn't sure if now my boiler will break for trying to clean the chimney, but all went well. They are just a bit on the pricey side as I see chimney cleaning services advertising specials for $50 these days and caps for $50 so not sure why I paid $289 but it is what it is.

Came on time, friendly, very clean and professional. Took pictures of the work (since it was all done on the roof), polite, and I was very happy with the result.
