My first appointment had to be re-schedules due to rain. However, they arrived when they stated and informed me they could not do the work due to rain. I rescheduled the appointment and they arrived on time. they went to work cleaning my gutters and did a good job. the only negative was when they asked to look at my chimney and asked if it had a lining. to which my response was, I don't know. The gentleman pulled out my connector and told me I did not have a lining and that it was illegal to not have one and to have an outdoor chimney. Since my house was built in 1933 and all the houses on my block have the same chimney, I didn't know what he wanted me to do. He then gave me paperwork showing why you need a lining for your chimney. He wrote up an estimate of over $1,200. He was not pushy at all, but my husband and I decided not to do the lining. When he tried to replace my connector, he had a hard time (he was an older guy), and I felt the need to call the younger gentleman to help him. Also, when I purchased this deal, it was supposed to come with a free dryer vent cleaning. When I asked about cleaning the vent, they told me it would cost over $100. I didn't push and remind them that it was to be free, but they should have known that in my opinion. They were very nice (both office and workers) and I'd probably use them again, except I'd be a little more pushy about the deal.

They did such a good job cleaning the gutters, I also had them clean the air ducts and they also put gutter guards on the lower gutters. They were very compitant, pleasant and professional. There were 2 workers that came out. One of the gentleman spoke english and was more experienced and the second gentleman seemed kind of new and didnt speak english very well, but the more experienced guy did a wonderful job at really giving his co-worker on this job training and did an extrememly good job at explaining what tools were used for what and how to use them. You do not see this all of the time and I was extrememly pleased, with how well they interacted with one another and the one guy was being very well trained for the job.

We purchased the Angie's List deal for $79 this past Sunday. Same day we got a message via Angie's List from Annette about expecting a call to schedule a time. Next day on Monday rec'd a call, I asked for an early appointment. We were the first appointment they had today, Wednesday morning. The serviceman Tommy, and another, arrived timely. He introduced himself, asked for access to the dryer, and told me what he was going to do. He of course suggested recommendations, i.e. changing the dryer duct to a more solid one for $289 or inspecting the chimney for $59, but I declined - we just wanted someone in and out. He respected that, and moved on with his work. They were done under a half-hour. A lot of lint came out! Was glad I called them, and they cleaned up all the lint that was left outside. One thing, I wish they'd explicitly state that they don't clean the dryer appliance at all, ONLY the duct from the outside of the dryer to the exhaust vent on the outside of the home. He said that would be considered a "service arrangement" between us and wherever we purchased the dryer, and that they don't do that - fair enough. Just wish I knew about it earlier. In any case, they were punctual, respectful, did their job - what else do you need?

All went well. I was particulary pleased that they kept in contact with me since I had to cancel the first appointment and was not able to reschedule for several months. The Angie's List discount from the original appointment was honored. I would definelty use them again and refer them to family and friends.

eThey provided service for us on two occasions, the first was to clean the gutters and dryer vents. They did a great job with the gutters, cleaning out moss that had begun to grow under the gutter guards. After an inspection of our dryer vent, it was recommended that the plastic corrugated piping be replaced because it was creating a fire hazard. They returned a second time to complete that job. Overall, Mike was very informative carefully explaining all the work that was necessary. They did a quick, neat job and I'd definitely use them again.

Arrived on time, very professional and clean. Very pleasant and provided answers to questions honestly. Follow up call the next day to check on satisfaction with the job. I was very pleased with the services provided and will definitely use them again in the future.

After purchasing the deal we received an email within hours and then a phone call next morning to setup an appointment. The guy that came to clean the dryer vent called as promised and showed up on time. He was very professional and explained what he will be doing. They cleaned the vent and cleaned up the mess after it as well.

It worked out fine. There was a tax that I had to pay that I wasn’t expecting. It would have been nice if this was in the fine print. They were very pleasant to work with.

Two of Fred's workers cleaned out my dryer vent yesterday, working efficiently and neatly. I should add that this is only the most recent time I have used Fred's CM; I've had them in the past for much bigger jobs, including chimney cleaning, lining the chimney, rebuilding the fireplace/damper, and powerwashing. They sometimes press for additional services, and charge, I think, rather a lot; but they have always been prompt, responsible, knowledgeable, efficient, and clean, and I shall continue to use their services and recommend them highly.

I called them 15 minutes before the appointment to make sure they would be there. They said that due to an elderly couple having plumbing issues they were very busy and would not be able to get to me at my appointed time. They wanted me to reschedule for this afternoon and I have a busy schedule; they then asked if I wanted to schedule for tomorrow and that is another 24 hours of breathing this air. I think my breathing is more important than some couples plumbing and water.

The company came and gave an estimate but I received a lower quote from a provider who was offering a 10% Angie's List discount.

It went very well. Ronny and his assistant were very honest, courteous and professional. They got on the roof and informed me that the gutters did not need cleaning but they did need some repairs. They were on time and gave me adequate notice of their arrival. I would recommend them.

when I purhased my home, the dryer vent was a total mess; the piping in the basemet was broken and the outside vent was right next to our HVAC unit ouside our home, which created a serious problem. Chris from JFT came to our home and was very professional. He also has a great sense of humor! He was able to repair the piping in my basement and redirect the dryer vent away from our HVAC unit.

They were pleasant to work with, but there was some extra costs that I did not want to spend. I am getting a refund from Angie's List.

Everything went extremely well, they took the time to explain and show us why we needed the work done and then did a good job. We plan to have them return to re-point the mortar on some of the bricks.

Company responded immediately, and scheduled an installation within a week. Unfortunately, when they arrived they found our roof did not allow the type of gutter guard that was part of the Angies list deal. They provided an estimate for a different kind of guard, but we chose not to have that installed

It went great. Very knowledgable and reliable.

While these guys were polite enough, and seemed to do a thorough cleaning job, they did not clean up the junk that came out of my gutters (except for dumping a small amount of it in the street, at the end of my driveway). Granted, there wasn't a lot of junk, but I assumed clean-up would be part of the service. They also didn't reattach the extension coming off of one of the leaders. The best part of this service was the woman who called to set up the appointment, then to remind me the day before the appointment, then about 30 minutes before. She was very professional and friendly. I would not use this contractor again. Update, 6/28: The contractor (actually, Annette, the nice woman I referenced above) contacted me today, apologized for the less-than-satisfactory job, and offered me a free gutter cleaning at some point in the future. That's good customer service, so I may take them up on that.
