He stated that he was unable to do the work I needed and should contact you and get my money back . I have done so repeatedly and I have not gotten any response. This has soured me from the Angie experience.

They called and gave me a time when they would arrive and did so. They were thorough in checking what needed to be done and advised me through the process. They were courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Plus for a messy job they were very clean. I would recommend them highly to anyone.

They were prompt and very courteous. They even repaired a section of gutter that had pulled away from the house at no extra charge. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I really appreciated them calling the day prior to confirm appt. time, and again the day of, when the guys were at the prior stop. They showed up on time and were very friendly. They looked around, gave me a quote, and I decided to start the work right on the spot. There were issues with my neighbors chimney which abuts mine, so they took pics and discussed the situation with my neighbor, and subsequently came up with a reasonable solution. It only took an hour or two and they cleaned up nicely afterwards. I'm very pleased with the results and the warranty is great.

The quality of the work was very poor. I was taken back when the owner came out and said it was excellent work. Everyone who I showed the pictures of the work done to was appalled. That is the reason why they received such low grades.

Job went well - professional team. Some question over final price, but it was easily resolved with a call to the office. Estimate on a new liner was provided, but no attempt to force it on me was appreciated.

Service men were punctual and explained the procedure. The original date for this service was on Monday but the office called to cancel due to the weather. Office staff was extremely professional and re-scheduled at a convenient time for me.

I purchased a Big Deal on Angie's List. The friendly company clerks called the next day and set up the appointment at my convenience very soon thereafter. They gave me a window time of when to anticipate someone at our home, as well as they also called me when their truck was enroute. I happened to be around for part of the time that their crew worked on our home. This was far from a quick hello/goodbye 3 minute service call. They painstakingly went over every nook and cranny of our home, which had not been serviced in a long time. They hosed down items too. I had a special request that they remove some algae which they did and they also explained to me why this was happening. They followed this up with gifting me a sample gutter strap which I promptly found at Lowes and bought a few more. They asked me if I had someone to install those for me, and I said yes, but had I asked, they would have installed them probably too for a small additional fee. The tech was very nice and very generous with this relatively small and easy gutter strap in his world that meant a lot to me in mine. Afterwards they gave us an estimate of other items that we might need their help with in the future. We left them the small, additional tax fee to pick up separately which their office staff had kindly requested us to prepare. We needed their help that day very much, and they generously did everything and more that they could to service our needs. Thank you so very much for a great job well done!

They were on time; put down drop cloths to protect floors. The vacuumed and inspected fireplace.

Chris and Alonzo were very polite and did a great job on my chimney which had many holes and reset some bricks.

They were very good. The guy was very nice and showed up on time. I didn't end up using their services because the final estimate for the job was more than I expected it to be. I assumed that the chimney needed superficial work, but they discovered other issues that I can't afford to fix right now.

Chimney Magic repointed our chimney in August 2013 and gave us a 10 year guarantee. After the 2015 winter we saw cracks in the brickwork. When I called them to tell them of the problem, they were the ones to say there was a 10 year guarantee. An appointment was set up within a few days and the workers, Chris and Alonzo, were on time and very courteous. Not only were the cracks repaired but they removed most of the mortar and basically did the entire job over. They were very responsive and professional. We would definitely use them again or recommend them.

Two people showed up to do the work; one person seemed to be an understudy. One person did all the work and the other sat around chatting with me. They took appropriate precautions not to make a mess, and indeed they left the place spotless. On their way out, the chatty one mentioned that his companion had found alot of sand in the bottom of the dryer. Okay, whatever; however, now when I run my dryer it makes a sound which I presume is sand some how getting kicked up (this didn't happen before their visit) - this is the reason I gave them a 'B' on the quality measure reported above. 7/22/15 Almost immediately after posting the review I received a call from Fred's Chimney Magic. They set up an appointment to have a technician come back out to the house to check out the aforementioned dryer. When they opened up the dryer they found the residual sand that was making the noise, and the issue/noise has since resolved. I then received a follow up phone call from Fred's to ensure that I was satisfied with the service. Its clear that this company values Angies List members reviews, and does what it can to protect its reputation. As a card holding Angies List member that is exactly the type of company I like doing business with. Highly recommend.
