All went well however, dryer vent hose was not screwed in all the way, so we called company in the evening and they came back first thing in the morning. The person that scheduled appt was lovely and the two men who performed the service were very nice and did a great job.

Chimney was swept in a clean & efficient manner. Proposed installation of vent caps to prevent animal infiltration - I agreed. I requested also installation of a new lock-top damper & removal of the old rusted one. Had water repellent sprayed on the exterior chimney. The work was all done efficiently, cleanly & rapidly. The total cost was more than I anticipated initially but I think I got good value finally. The water repellent at $189 struck me as somewhat expensive! In general I was very happy with the quality & courteous service provided.

I bought a big deal for this service and it went fine. It was good. It took them a few hours; they did it in a day. We are not sure if you really needed that service at the end of the day. I don't know how really honest they were about that. The area was clean when they left. I think their pricing was in line.

They also saw that my chimney flashing was hit by a tree limb, which separated all the tar seal from the chimney base at the point of contact with the roof. They resealed it all and sealed my vent pipe with a cap. This was the best service I have ever had on my roof. I will get serviced by them every year. The service from Fred's Chimney Magic/JFT was excellent. They installed a new damper and cleaned the chimney for our new home in a timely and thorough manner. They explained what was being done along the way and provided advice for future maintenance. In addition, they happily climbed on the roof to work even with the bad weather.

Scheduling a job is easy. They provide an online calendar, and a friendly woman calls you the day before to confirm your appointment. She will call again if they happen to be running late. They cleaned my gutters and cleaned the dryer vent. They recommended replacing my old, cheap, flexible duct tube with rigid metal ducts, which I agreed. I knew the old duct type wasn't very safe, and the quoted price was reasonable. They installed the new ducts in about 20 minutes. It was a semi-difficult job that involved an angled 8-foot run up to a window (from the basement floor) and two 90-degree bends. This is the second time I've hired this company, and I'm pleased with their work.

Tommy & Eduardo were pleasant & professional. My dryer vents through a hose in my attic so Tommy supervised cleaning from inside while Eduardo vacuumed out the hose from outside & then replaced a previously broken vent cover. The job took no more than a half hour. A pleasant surprise since I had put off having it done thinking they were going to have to pull out my stackable dryer from a very confined space making it a bigger project. I was able to see how much lint had been removed which didn't seem like a lot to me but that's probably because I make sure to clean lint catcher every time I use the dryer. Since I have flexible hosing for venting Tommy suggested an upgrade to something sturdier & quoted me a price. I felt absolutely no pressure to have anything done other than what the original job order was.He also gave me a price for chimney cleaning when needed. I was very happy with the job & would definitely use Chimney Magic again & would recommend them.

A couple of days after we bought the deal, we arranged an appointment with the service provider. They were pleasant over the phone and were fairly flexible in terms of availability. They were punctual in their arrival. Our horrendous-looking fireplace was made clean again. The got a bunch of soot and dirt out of the chimney. Everything was done without making a mess of our carpet. We have nothing but praise about the job itself. If I do have a quibble, it was the upselling of their chimney lining service. Yes, I agree they need to make money, too. But I really didn't think our chimney warranted an expensive liner. A few months later we had our boiler service guy take a look at the chimney. He said the liner would have been a waste of money.

Back in May I used JFT after buying a deal on Angie's for gutter cleaning. They did the cleaning, and recommended a few things one of which was waterproofing the stucco on the chimney. They came back on the 8/14 and did the job, and recleaned a section of gutter which I believed they had missed the first time. They did not charge me for that. As in May, they were on time and very professional. I would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks!!

They arrived on time within the expected timeframe. They explained where they needed to go and notified me once they were done. The work was done within an hour or so. They also provided an estimate for installing new chimney lining which I will include for my budget next year. I high recommend their service especially since they offer Saturday service at no additional charge.

Everything went very well. They arrived right on schedule and inspected the vent. It runs for about 10 feet and vents to the rear of the house. It was up to code so they began to remove the lint. They both were very professional and completed the job in about 15 minutes. I would definitely recommend them and will continue to use Chimney Magic in the future.
