Very pleased on time and did a good job. Will use them again

Once I informed them that I had a carbon monoxide leak, they came right out and performed the work. Justin and Jason were super professional and nice and put me at ease. Took several hours but they had all the necessary tools and parts to do the work. They did a nice clean job and guaranteed the work for the lifetime of the home. WOW!

JFT was terrific in setting up the appointment to evaluate and repair. They are very thorough and professional at all times. I wish all contractors were this efficient. Even after the repair the follow up call was appreciated to confirm all went smooth. From now on Fred's Chimney (JFT) is my first choice !!!!

Was concerned at first as he felt the line that went to the outside vent was damaged and it would be quite expensive to repair. Since we had the basement finished, I was somewhat concerned that we would be opening the wall and possibly the ceiling to get to the root of the vent problem. After looking further into the wall opening and outside vent, he discovered that the problem was fixable and made the necessary repairs. The dryer is now working well and efficiently.

They didn't do as good a job as the first time. They did more work outside than they did behind the machines. They didn't take the hosing out and blow it out the way they did the first time. The first time they here here for about half an hour but this time, they were here for only 15 minutes. I was not 100 percent pleased. There wasn't any additional cost. They made the appointment right away and showed up when they said they would be here.

They took their time in what they were doing and made sure it was completely cleaned out.

They arrived on time, got on the roof, clean gutters, installed leaf guards and suggested future chimney inspection. I am happy with their service, they are professionals and very know their job.

At first I complained about leaning a ladder against my gutters, but the supervisor was able to do the job using my ladder.

Fred's Chimney Magic were eager to schedule the work promptly and to give fair pricing. There were complications with scoping out the effort, but they took ownership of the issue and we were able to find solutions amicably. All in all, a very positive experience and I would look to work with them again.

I purchased the $189 Angie's list deal to clean chimney and install a cap. Fred's called to schedule and were very accommodating to work around my busy schedule. The office staff called the night before to confirm a time. then they again called when the crew was on their way. I really appreciated this excellent communication. This is very hard to come by. Tom and his assistant arrived and got to work. They were very pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable. They explained what they were doing. I knew that the crown probably need to be cemented and they took care of that for a very fair price. They recommended a couple of upgrades, but did not push the sale. I also appreciated that. After the work was completed they completely cleaned up in the basement and outside. I would highly recommend this company. Thanks for the job well done!

Chimney Magic Inc. installed a chimney lining in my mother's chimney after a inspection was made. We had three estimates quoted to us by different chimney service companies, but by far the best price we received was from Chimney Magic, Inc. Chris was a sweetheart. So nice and pleasant while still being super professional the entire time. He was quick and made sure to lay down protective rug and kept everything extremely clean. No mess to clean up after he left! I was very impressed. He gave us some suggestions as well.

They did the front part of the house which took a long time then went to the back and finished while I was having a snack. The liter on the left side was coming down, but the right side was not. We got the work scheduled for them to come back after Thanksgiving and fix the right side down spout.

It was not a nice day, slightly drizzling. They came on time and did what we planed before. The chimney is pretty high and they have to climb up with the ladder, since I have a slate roof. One tech was working outside and another one in basement. The old exhaust of furnace and boiler were not connected right to the chimney, they showed to me and connected them at the right way, using the jag hammer to open the wall (it was an 60 years house and has a very tough wall). When finish, they cleaned the basement and the roof. Very professional and friendly, took about 4.5 hours to finished all.

Everything went smoothly. Tom and his crew were very punctual and professional. Job looks first rate. I would highly recommend.

Annette called me within 24 hours to set up a two hour window on the date that I have selected. I received a confirmation call the day before and they let me know specifically between 10 and 12. The workers were punctual, respectful and most importantly knowledgeable about chimneys. They did do the inspection and did not try to oversell me at all. The issues that were brought up were expected and they gave me estimates. Also, they gave me a sheet with other services that they provide such as gutter cleaning. I will definitely have them back to do the repairs on the chimney because they were reasonable and I will have them clean the gutters in a few weeks. It's nice to meet knowledgeable and trustworthy individuals.

I paid $89 via Angie?s list and the front desk said I can pay them cash for the second flute. They charged taxes on both services so I paid them 89+83+7 tips =$180 total. They removed my boiler exhaust pipe to clean it and didn't do a good job of reattaching it back. The elbow pipe got disconnected that same day and I called them to reconnected back for me. The Supervisor I spoke to refused to send someone over to reconnect it because its after 5pm and can't find a truck to come over. Really!? For a big company, he as a Supervisor can't send someone over. Wow! I told him exactly what was disconnected and carbon-monoxide was coming out and he still refuse to come on the same day. I wants me to turn off my boiler instead and even have the nerve to say "we don't even know if it was my guy who did it". It's amazing that he (1) refuse to come and fix it when its leaking carbon-monoxide and (2) have the nerve to imply it's not their fault when they are the only one who disconnected and reconnected my boiler exhaust pipe. They know they screwed up the pipe and refunded me $69 dollars on one service of the services and told me to go to Angie's list to ask for the other refund. But on the other hand, they told Angie's list that they refund me everything, inspection was done. Very unprofessional and rude. Not recommended.

Called for service based on positive reviews here on Angie's list . Made an appointment for 2 weeks out. They called me and kept me up to date on the status of arrival date and time . Chris and George arrived on time and conducted a thorough cleaning and inspection .It was my first home with a wood burning fireplace and wanted to confirm the safety of it and the proper operation . Chris took his time explaining everything and made recommendations on things I might want to address . He provided me printed documents on all the services that were brought to my attention and answered all my questions with no hard sell sales pitch . Very happy...will be using them for all my fireplace and chimney needs.
