All went great! I made the call last Thursday, and appointment was set for today, with follow up calls from the company to reconfirm. Keith and Danny arrived promptly and after explaining the process, got right to work. Gutter cleaning was completed in about an hour.

The crew from Fred's Chimney Magic were friendly and did a great job. There were efficient and effective. We are all set to use our fireplace this winter.

Purchased a coupon from Angie's list for a chimney sweep. Tom and his co-worker were in and out in no time. They provided feedback on chimney, cleaned flue and fireplace and had a few other recommendations to enhance performance of fireplace. We called out Fred's to clean our gutters and dryer vent. They called me back within literally 60 seconds even though I called over the weekend, and she followed up first thing Monday morning to schedule an appointment that week at my total convenience. The guys showed up on time and were nicer than anything! When they went up to the roof they saw that the gutters weren't clogged at all, and so they didn't charge us for that even though they made the trip. They were also helpful with us on the dryer vent to give some advice for the future. I strongly recommend this company!

They were supposed to arrive at 9 a.m. I received a call around 8:30 telling me they would arrive in about half an hour. They didn't show up until 9:30. They should have called again to inform me they would be late. If they did there would be no punctuality issue. Other than that the job itself went well.

This company came in at half the price of my other quotes. They worked with me on a budget plan. The installers were friendly and courteous. They explained step by step what needed to be done and then showed me each step as they worked. The woman in the office was very kind and was willing to help me with the payments. Great work! Great people!

Very well. Everyone from the office to the service men were very courteous and helpful. They cleaned the dryer vent out very quickly, took a lot of lint out and it works just fine now. As expected with an old house problems were found with both chimneys. Tommy was professional, down to earth and took the time to explain everything before the work commenced. In addition to the chimneys being cleaned, the damper on one was replaced, a vermin cap was added, cement, pointing and waterproofing was also performed to both. These gentleman were recommended by my father who was given a discount for being a veteran which was why I originally called them. Very satisfied.

My experience and satisfaction with Fred's Chimney Magic / JFT was way beyond expectations. Annette's communication , from the very first call, to the scheduling , to the day of arrival for the service , could not have been better. Tommy the tech as well as his partner were knowledgeable, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. The owner should be very proud and appreciative of the employees that I dealt with and represent his company. From the first call I placed to Fred's Chimney Magic everything went right. Annette took my call, made my appointment, confirmed the appointment and provided me with a reminder call. Annette is friendly, caring and really wanted to make sure everything was done correctly. She even offered a follow up call once the service was complete. Chris and Sully came to my home to do the chimney sweet, safety inspection and make sure the caps and all else were in good repair and working order. They were friendly, professional, tidy and really made me feel comfortable with having them in my home. All of the work was completed properly and they made sure not only did they go over what they did that they explained the pricing to me They offered other services that I will be calling to book when needed as I cannot express how great this company really is. They even put up with my little dog barking at them non-stop..she's so little I think it gave them a good laugh however some service providers might have gotten annoyed...not these guys, they rolled with it and got the job done for me. A+ guys and thanks so much for everything from the first call to the follow up!

Everything went good. They said I won't have to do any cleaning, because of the stainless steel.

I have used them twice now, I also used them to do work on my fireplace. Both services were great. The receptionist at the office is friendly. I would use them again in the future.

I purchased the $79 dryer vent cleaning and chimney inspection on Angie's List. Fred's Chimney Service arrived on time. After inspecting the existing dryer vent, I was told that the dryer vent hose, which is about 5 feet in length from the dryer to the outside vent, was not safe because it was made of thin, flexible plastic. I agreed with this opinion and asked what the replacement cost would be. I was told that the cost would be $489 for a solid, galvanized vent hose. I asked how long the work would take and was told it would be less than an hour. I asked if the cost of 5 feet of materials was so high that I would have to pay $489 for an hour's worth of work. Despite the fact that my dryer would first need to be moved from a foot-high raised platform, I felt that the price quoted was too high, so I requested and immediately received a refund of my $79 from Angie's List. I then called another service listed on Angie's List and was quoted a price of $191 for a solid aluminum vent hose. The work was completed by the other service for that price and I believe this is a sufficient solution for safe operation and ease of cleaning in the future. Although I felt that the quote I was given by Fred's Chimney service was too high, I must say that they were very professional in all of their communications. They did tell me that I should call after getting another quote and they would see what they could do about the price. I would prefer to be given their best price from the start. However, I would not hesitate to use their service again if I felt their quote was reasonable for the work to be performed.

I purchased a deal for 50 feet of gutter guards but the estimate came out to be much higher than I anticipated as I have a couple of hundred feet of gutters. When I spoke to Janice and advised her that the cost was an issue she was very nice about it and they offered me a better deal. I was also able to pay in installments. I really appreciated the fact they were so flexible and willing to work with me. Janice was a pleasure to deal with.
