I would recommend this company again for these projects. At a price significantly less than two other quotes we obtained for these services, they arrived on time for work at our two separate locations in Park Slope, Brooklyn, saved us from having to buy one new dryer and improved the performance of the other, and cleaned a chimney. In addition to being professional, they seemed like nice guys and were easy to work with. We will use them again.

The chimney cap on my sister’s house apparently had blown off in a storm. (It was laying in the backyard.) Fred’s was able to come the same day I called and installed a new (and better) chimney cap, as well as repairing some of the brick work. They were professional and timely, and did excellent work.

Tom and crew were professional, knowledgable and friendly. On the first visit, they repaired loose bricks and chimney cap, as well as repainted the bricks. We were so impressed with them that we had them return to do more work. On a second visit, they replaced our old dryer vent and broiler vent with new commerical grade stainless steel liner which was safe, beautiful and to code. They were skilled and tidy. Customer service was also fantastic before AND after the job. The whole process was transparent and easy. Their estimates were detailed and clear. All work was completed, documented, and guaranteed. I will definitely call them back to clean my dryer vent yearly, and other chimney or vent related work in future. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Very responsive, and worked safe with full scaffolding to over 45’. Always making sure I was happy with job / progress. Finished in just about a week as promised. Worked very hard and often long days. I will use them again soon and recommend them highly.

The old stucco was peeling off the top of the chimney. I was told for the best long term results, to put down wire mesh, then stucco and I agreed. Now I won't have to worry about it coming apart. The job looks good and any mess was cleaned up. The office staff was very professional and answered any questions I had.

It went well. They were prompt, and they sent four guys and got the work done quickly. It happened to have been warm that day, but had it not been, that would have been particularly appreciated (as the heat had to be off when the work was done). They were also very friendly, which helps! We did have to ask them to come back and give us more details during the proposal phase, and then they were almost too attentive during that process. But once we were set to go, they did a very good job. Everything neatly done and they were respectful of the property.

I noticed that my chimney cap was missing and I'm not sure for how long. I also noticed something growing out of the chimney as well. The phone response to my call was very attentive and they called several times to verify the time with me and to let me know when someone would be coming. They were very punctual and I appreciated that they didn't want to waste my time or theirs. I had originally only called for an estimate but the price seemed fair so I had the work done. While there, Chris asked me if I wanted the chimney looked at from inside the house. Not knowing anything about chimneys, I let him look and was horrified to see that there was a pile of rubble in there which could have blocked air flow and created a CO problem. The rubble is from the clay liner and some cement crumbling according to Chris. I had him and his assistant( who bravely climbed to the roof to replace the chimney cap) shovel and vacuum out the debris. I was given some literature to review and an estimate on what it would cost to replace the liner It was also suggested that my dryer vents be vacuumed out( I already had done this several months ago). I paid the bill and now have a clear picture of future work which may need to take place. I was impressed with their knowledge and professional attitude.

Mike, the tech, was super knowledgeable. He checked our chimneys and confirmed they didn't need cleaning but did give me an estimate to change our lining. Will definitely be considering these guys when it's time for the upgrade.

Techs arrived and inspected the gutter. They discovered the gutter was leaking not due to a suspected gap in the seams but because it was corroded and porous, I.e., cheap metal. It would have made no sense to clean the gutter and install guards. They gave a reasonable estimate for guard installation once the gutter was replaced. Appreciated the honesty. No charge.

There are very honest people who do great work at excellent prices. I had another company look at the job, they told me it would cost in excess of 4K. Chimney magic was below that and the work was great.

Excellent! From the time I booked the appointment (reception) to the day of service. The staff booking the appointment was friendly, polite and professional. Tommy (the serviceman) was on time, explained everything in detail from the minute he arrived until he finished his work. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable in his work.
