Nick was prompt in responding by phone to our request and arrived on time for the initial appointment. He made some minor adjustments on the spot and made recommendations for replacement toilets and a shower head. He shopped for the shower head and toilets ( the existing space limited the selection ) and arranged for the delivery to coincide with the installation. The installation went very smoothly, and Nick and his helper were very neat, friendly and took time to explain everything they did.Additional minor repairs and adjustments were also made at this time. The bathrooms were left very clean and they removed all of the old parts and fixtures. All in all, my husband and I were very satisfied with the service Nick and his helper provided and would definitely recommend them to others. There is no question we will call them in the future if needed.

Nick and helper arrived on time. They protected the work area and cleaned up afterwards. They performed the necessary work quickly and were very professional. I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend them.

A1 (Nick G) promptly returned my call and fixed an appointment per my earliest convenience. Nick and his assistant arrived within the time frame that they had indicated. They did a very thorough job of identifying and remedying the source of a leak that we had from a second floor bathroom into the room below. Turned out it was due to a gap in the tracking of the sliding door that would let water escape below and behind the tub enclosure. Nick also helped clean the drains in the bathtub as well as the sink. He also fixed another leak that we had in the pipe going into the sink. He installed a new handheld shower and made sure everything was working properly. We also had a leaky valve in the basement that was going to an outside faucet, which they fixed. Overall I'm extremely happy with A1 and Nick for their professionalism, communication, thorough work all at a very reasonable price.

He returned my call promptly and we made the appt. for that day and called me when he was on his way. After doing the repair, he cleaned up the area as good as new (that was very appreciated). He also was very helpful in answering our question about the small leak from our 5-yr. old Moen faucet which we couldn't figure out. He suggested we call Moen for the "cartridge" which they would provide for free. We did that and two of them will be arriving soon. That saved us some money. (Interestingly, we didn't know what he meant by "cartridge" since that part was not pictured in the installation diagram that came w/the faucet. However, it is pictured in the parts diagram that I downloaded from the Moen website.) It was a very positive experience dealing with Nick. He has shown us that there still are some businessmen who not only know what they are doing, but are polite, courteous and thorough!

I received a return call within one day and received an appointment by the following day with a window of 2 hours, which is very, very fair these days. They arrived right on time and began the work. What I thought would have been an easy job turned out to be a little more involved. They removed my old disposal and replaced it with a new one that I had purchased. In addition they had to replace and reconfigure some of the pipes under my sink. They were at my house for more than 2 hours and did a fantastic job. There are some other plumbers in my area that I know and I would much prefer A-1 to them. Thank you for the good recommendation and the great job!

I was most worried about the washing machine hoses which were quite old and the valves which looked rusted. I was concerned if I tried to turn them off that I wouldn't be able to get them on again or worse that they would spring a leak when i was out and I'd return home to a basement full of water. The other items were smaller items which I figured I might as well take care of. I emailed Nick and he got back to me that evening. We spoke and set up time to come over. Nick and his assistant arrived on time, took a look at the work and explained to me what he planned on doing. I was a bit embarrassed because I wasn't sure where the water shut off valve was, but Nick found it easily enough. When they were done, he showed me exactly what he did. There was one other small item (dripping faucet) which I had on list to repair but wasn't dripping the past few days. Nick took a look at it anyway just to make sure it was OK. Nick and his assistant were friendly, courteous and careful to keep the work area clean. All in all, a very professional job. A-1 Plumbing is definitely the service I will call again for any work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my neighbors.

We called Nick to take a look at our leaking showerhead. We had previously contacted another plumber to take a look at the problem and without touching the showerhead or hot and cold water handles, they told us we needed to replace the entire shower body and controls which would involved both plumbing work and tile work. They estimated it would cost $900. We called Nick on Friday and left a message for him. He then called us back the same evening and I explained our situation. He suggested a stepped approach where he would come in and first look at the hot and cold water handle assemblies before we leaped into replacing the shower body. He told us he could come the next day, Saturday, and arrived within the time window he gave us he previous night. He disassembled the handles despite the fact that we had recently had them replaced (because we had a leaking showerhead previously) and he began to examine the assembly and installation. He then determined that the washers included with the new assemblies where too hard and were not providing the proper seal to prevent the water from leaking up into the showerhead. He replaced the washers and the leak stopped. Needless to say were were glad we called Nick. He was professional, explained what he was doing and his estimate and final invoice were the same. He even gave me an Angie's list discount without any request from us. We will use him again if we have any future plumbing issues.

The toilets and shower head were all fixed in an expeditious manner and the two gentlemen were very professional. I did not rate the pricing since I did not have a comparison for similar work. The overall service was exactly what we had hoped for as this was our first time using Angie's list to find reliable help (this is my first review as well). We would not hesistate to use A-1 again and would recommend them to others.

I called A-1 Plumbing & Heating(Nick) and left a message concerning my shower body dripping hot water. Nick called me within a hour of my message. I explained the problem to him and we set up a time for him to come and take a look. Prior to our appointment time Nick called and told me he was on his way. He was prompt and on time. Nick was very professional and knowledgable about what needed to be done to resolve the problem. I highly recommend him for any plumbing issues that you might have. His number is definitely a keeper in my book for the future. His assistant was just as nice and courteous as he was. THANK YOU GUYS SOOOOOO MUCH.

I have used this company about 3-4 times and have always been very satisfied. The owner, Nick, is very personable, professsional and knowledgeable. He always calls an hour or so prior to arrival to let me know exactly when to expect him. I have not had any problems with this company and will definitely continue to use them in the future. Their charges seem to be reasonable.

When I called A-1 Plumbing and Heating, Nick made an appointment for the following day, between 9-11am. He called at 10am and said he would be at my house by 10:15am. He arrived on time and was very professional. He examined the problem and gave his professional reccomendation. Work did not have to be done immediately and I would call Nick back when it is time to do the service.

I founn water on my kitchen floor and looked for the source. I could see a slow but steady leak coming from a pipe behind the washiong machine. I called A-1 plumbing who I had used before to fix a problem with my toiliet. They responded withina couple of hours and repaired the leak.

Called and left a message for A1. Nick got back to me relatively quickly and was able to come over that afternoon. I would suggest contact by phone as they admittedly respond less quickly to email. Nick and his help were very thorough, protected the work area, and cleaned before they left. They found the leak without much probing of other areas and replaced the damaged pipe and tested. Recommended!

The price was very reasonable. The faucets weren't able to hold water, but they fixed the issue. They did very good work. He referred us to a company that could help us with air conditioning, and that company was very good. He came out a second time for me.

IT WAS A NEW FORCET. THE SUPPLY LINE IS NOT THE PROBLEM AS IT DOES NOT LEAK AT ALL WHEN I DO NOT TURN THE FORCET ON. I HAVE A PAN UNDER THE SINK AND EMPTY IT AFTER I TURN THE FORCET OFF. I AM STILL IN GRIEF OVER MY WIFES DEATH. COMBAT WAS EASIER.
