caused a leak in a pipe that was ok before finding the actual leak

Nick removed sink and thoroughly cleaned off old adhesive. He applied new adhesive, installed clips to hold in place. He secured sink to granite top using an ingenious device developed by his uncle. He returned in 2 days , removed device and sink remains solidly in place. After completing job, he took care of our slowly draining bathroom tub and repaired a faulty shower head. This is the second time we have used A-1 plumbing. They are prompt, do excellent work and are reasonable in price.

We have used this company for years and have found them reliable and competent. Only drawback is that they do not provide 24 service. When we found flooding in our basement, they were not available to come in the evening. We were able to find a 24 hour plumber through our insurance agent; the man they sent was competent and came within a few hours. We would share our rating with the Band of Neighbors ONLY if you would not use our name. You could list me as Ms. E. We want to stay on good terms with A-1 Plumbing as we will undoubtedly need their services again sooner or later.

They were timely. They came in and did the job. There was a problem and at first they thought they wouldn't be able to complete the job, but they found a work around and completed the job. I haven't had a problem with the pipe since.

The great ratings speak for themselves. Nick & his brother did a very thorough job of removing the toilet, scraping the old wax ring off, adding the new one and resetting it with plaster. They also fixed a copper pipe joint that was leaking in the basement. A DIYer would have tried to just torch off the old joint, but since it was in a tight spot, they planned it out carefully. They replaced the valve with a new ball valve. It took about 3 hours for both jobs. I had used them before to add a ball valve after my main since my main was not 100% effective, and to fix a leaky hose. Very nice guys too. Will use them for any future plumbing issues!

They were wonderful. I have used them twice. I called them and they promptly called me back. They told me they had another job and they asked me if it was okay if they were here late morning. They called me to inform me that they would be later and then half an hour later, they called to tell me they were on their way. They were very good at keeping me informed. They showed me the pipe that was rusted and it was really rusted, they checked the problem, they were here, they were clean, they were efficient and they were wonderful. I don't think they overcharged me, because we used them last year, when we had a clog and all they did was charge us for a service call. They tried very simple things and made it work. I think they honest, courteous, professional and prompt. I have had an incredibly positive experience with them.

Nick was FANTASTIC! I called and left a message for him on Saturday afternoon and the call was promptly returned by Monday AM, as his message machine indicated. After talking about the problem, Nick was able to come that very same afternoon to do the repair. It took about an hour and he replaced the entire leaky valve. He was neat, professional, and talked me through everything he was doing. His price was incredibly reasonable and I wouldn't hesitate to call him again the future. In fact, I have already added his contact information to my phone under "Nick the Plumber"!

I wasn’t there when they did the work. They were pretty good with waiting for my payment.

Since there were quit a few jobs it went for about 4 hrs. When they left the cleaned up so well you wouldn't know all these jobs were done. Very courteous & pleasant.

Excellent job! Nick was professional from start to finish! He returned my phone call promptly. We set up an appointment and he was on time! He explained what he would be doing and did a great job! The price was reasonable and fair. I would recommend this company to anyone and will be using them in the future.

This was a very smooth transaction. Basically, sent a e-mail to A-1 plumbing to schedule a appointment visit. Then received a very quick reply back from A-1 plumbing to see when he could come over. He was very flexible and we agreed to the next day visit. They came exactly on time and got to work immediately and professionally. He definitely knew what the issue was and fixed it very efficiently and without much hassle. I would recommend this company looking for any plumbing work to be done. It was a very pleasant experience.

Based on the recommendations from Angie's List I gave the company a call and left a message. I was a little worried about when I'd hear back from them since their page indicated they didn't have a messaging service, but Nick called me back later that evening. He showed up the next day when he was supposed to, and a few hours later the problem was solved. He seemed like a nice, honest guy, and the whole process went smoothly and efficiently. I can't comment on the price because I don't know how much the going rate is for the work he did, but it seemed reasonable enough. I have absolutely no complaints, and would have no qualms about using him again in the future.

Good service. A-1 was professional with their service, and were on time.

After trying everything we could think of to unclog our toilet, we called A-1 Plumbing at 9 am on a Monday; they arrived at our home at 1pm, as promised. The owner, Nick, spent about 45 minutes trying to clear the toilet. He had initially told us that tree roots could be the problem, (something that he didn't do) so we were imagining a large cost and mess in our future. However, before giving up, Nick tried one more thing and managed to pull out a large piece of sponge. After clearing that clog, he opened the top of the tank and proceeded to give our toilet a complete tuneup. We will definitely call A-1 Plumbing the next time we need a plumber.

I am very please with the work and the overall experience. They called when they said they would and showed up on time. I got an estimate in advance and they stuck to the estimate, even thought the job was more involved and time consuming than I believe they thought it would be.Nick was very easy to deal with . I would use them in the future and also recommend them to others

I was selling my mother's house, and the day before the closing, the buyer's real estate agent did another walk-through and told me that the hot water faucet on the slop sink in the basement wasn't working and it needed to be fixed before closing, which was 3 p.m. the next day. I called Nick at A-1 Plumbing and he could not have been nicer. He squeezed me in between two other appointments, fixed the problem and I was able to close. I'm very fortunate that Nick was the person I decided to call. He was extremely accommodating, nice and professional.

The plumber fixed the pipe. Water stopped flowing from it. Now the pipe is functioning properly.

I was totally satisfied with his service, professionalism and price.

Nick visited once to give an estimate of what would be required to fix a leaking joint in an extremely old piece of plumbing, and then returned to repair the piping and stop the leak. He had to improvise, which he did carefully and after studying the situation, since the plumbing was extremely outdated. His manner was cheerful, positive, and perfectly professional. He was a pleasure to work with. He did just what he said he would do, and talked us through the work as he was performing it. He will be the first person we call for any plumbing problems. We recommend Nick without reservation.

We read the reviews here and set up an appointment. Nick called a half-hour ahead to confirm that everything was on schedule, before showing up, right on time. I gave an 'N/A' on price because I've never hired a plumber before and can't honestly say how prices compare. The work itself was perfect and we will certainly call again if we need anything else fixed or replaced.
