They did a good job. They were prompt, and got the job done in a timely manner. There were two of them, and one of them seemed to be nicer than the other. Overall, they did complete the job to my satisfaction.

A-1 called (I'm sorry I don't have his name) at about 9 a.m. to let me know that he was leaving his office and would be on his way to my house. He arrived about a half-hour later. He explained all the work he was going to do and showed me the problems and what needed to be done. He was very professional and wasted no time in getting the work done properly.
Description of Work: Master bath toilet bowl was loose even after continued tightening. He found that the bowl was not set correctly to begin with when the bathroom was re-done 2 years ago. He changed the flange and re-set the bowl properly. We also had a lot of knocking in the pipes, especially when the washing machine was filling. He found that straps were needed to secure the pipes in the basement. The cold and hot water pipes were hitting each other and vibrating throughout the house.

It went very well. Nick from A-1 scheduled to come over between 9-11. He called at around 9:30 to let us know that he would arrive in within an hour. After he arrived, we did a quick walk through of all the problems. Nick went to his van and returned with his tools and got right to work. He did not give me an estimate. He worked efficiently and thoroughly. He did all of the work described above in a little more than 3 hours.
Description of Work: KITCHEN SINK: removed and replaced customer-provided spray for kitchen sink. Removed and replaced customer-provided soap dispenser for kitchen sink. Provided and replaced something under the sink that was rotting and leaking. TOILET: examined toilet for continuous flow; provided and installed replacement flapper for toilet tank. Adjusted water level on the same toilet. SHOWER: examined shower for leak. Provided and replaced valves for a shower. CAPPING OTHER WATER LINE: provided caps for live water line that could spill all over the place. OTHER: looked at 2 other leaks; A1 could not repair 2 others leaks. One leak could not be repaired because the faucet could not be opened due to corrosion. The other leak required another visit because it required removing the toilet, removing existing lead pipes and then replacing with PVC pipes and finally replacing the toilet.

I called and the first man came over and he was very patient. I am just speechless with all their work. He explained everything to us. Then in a few weeks later, his son came and did the work. It was just great.
Description of Work: Three different things actually. A washing machine hose for a new dehumidifier. Repaired base and faucet in second floor bathroom. And a faucet repaired in the kitchen.

When I called to report the problem, a service call was scheduled for the next day. The plumber phoned about 30 minutes prior to his scheduled arrival to let me know when he expected to arrive. He arrived on time and the work was done quickly and efficiently. I received a follow-up phone call later that day inquiring whether the work was satisfactory. Definitely a customer oriented operation.
Description of Work: Repaired 2 leaking faucets. One required replacement of the cartridge and the other a washer.

Nick returned my call promptly, and showed up at the appointed time. He was friendly, and explained the situation in laypersons terms. He even moved a bookcase to get the job done. I felt the pricing was fair.
