They are horrible beyond imagination. I had them out because the section of roof over my portico porch was leaking and rotting the wood on the porch and when he came out to look at it he said "Oh my God. This is awful. We couldn't possibly done this little portico." I showed them the receipt and they said "Yeah but it's not broken down so it doesn't say portico and roof." I told them I haven't had any other roofing done by any other company. It was their word against mine. The roof was about $6000.

We arranged what was needed, picked out a nice 40 year architectural shingles, and set the date. The day of, I drove away after saying hello to the crew returning home with a new roof not telling that they were even there. I waited a year for this review because I'm in a high wind area and wanted to really see after time how all would survive the first year. I did have one third of one single shingle shift sideways near the gutter during this 2013/14 winter. No big deal. But I called Sahlems and ask about it and the NEXT DAY getting home from work, they must have immediately dispatch a crew to take a look. All set and of course no charge! I like their stelthy diligence to service and quality! Thank you Sahlem and we'll see you again in the future!

The clean up was immaculate. It was excellent. They did the whole job in one day, which was nice.

I liked everything about their service. The work was impeccable. They were very meticulous about their work and everything was done right. The boss was right down the street from me. If anything wasn't just the way it should be, he knew about it.

I attempted several times to contact him afterwards, leaving messages with his office and on his cell phone, to discuss the estimnate and schedule the work and he never returned my calls.

Sahlem's came in under cost of 3 other estimates. Gary Dubel was professional and courteous when he performed the estimates, explained the jobs, and materials and why they were using them, and how long it would take. They were prompt in setting up the job to get done. My home is an old home with 7 gables, and the garage was a 3 car size, detached @106 Two Rod Road , Marilla, NY. The crew descended on my property at @ 7:30 am, and got to work. They were respectful of myself, my property, were courteous and patient with my endless questions, even when they ran into a huge bee's nest and had to send one of their workers to the hospital, they never lost stride. They cleaned as they went along , as well as sending in a crew at the end of the job for the fine touches, such as nails and stray pieces. The whole job was completed in 1.5 days. Roofs were complete, gutters were installed and as a bonus they pressure washed my house and garage. Our family farm had a barn that was greatly in need of a roof, you could see daylight in some spots. This was located at 1300 Indian Church Road, West Seneca, NY. Again their crew arrived promptly. It was a total tear off, down to the plywood with some repairs to the joints and rafters. The crew was excellent, courteous, polite and helpful, with a great sense of humor I may add. They even managed to hook me up with someone that wanted an old boat I had on the property! The clean up crew that followed were an excellent bunch too, the whole experience was wonderful. This job was done and over by 2pm the same day. These were 2 different jobs but totaled what I stated above. I would call Sahlem's again if I had another roof to be replaced hands down. They are an excellent Company, and have a wonderful crew working for them both in office and out.

Wonderful! All done in one day. They even came back the next day to power-wash the house and run a large magnet all over the lawn to pick up any debris. Crew was polite and was respectful of my gardens.

Crew was on time, very professional, clean-up very thorough. Received two other bids prior to selecting this contractor and both were thousands of dollars higher, not including new gutters.

I contracted with them to have the roof done which included a small portico. For the last 2 or 3 years it has shown signs of rot. I called Sahlems back months ago. The secretary is very inefficient. I asked to speak with the owner, Bill Sahlem. The owner called me back and said that they looked at the portico and it was poorly done. He said that there was no way that they did the work. He asked for the specifications of what work was done. I wanted them to fix the problem and I was willing to pay for the work. They do not want to do the repairs because I did not have the specifications of what they did before, and they do not believe that they did such poor work. I am very dissatisfied with Sahlem questioning my memory on who did work on my home. The owner did not call me back after the second time. I would never recommend this company to anybody.

Company did an excellent job on replacing our roof and gutters. The owner himself came to do our estimate in fact he came out an additional time to answer some concerns that we had. We set the date for the work to be performed and they failed to show up the Friday morning the work was to commence -this was more than a little aggravating as I had called earlier that week to confirm. That being said howvever; We had them come out that following Monday the 14th of May 2012 and we have not looked back since. This crew of 4 got going at around 9:00 A.M. and were done by 3:45 P.M. With about 2 hours to go they called in a crew to cleanup, which they did admirable job at I might add. Even though they had protested all of our siding, windows and flower beds - the mess was considerable. When they were done and the job was completed, you would be hard pressed to find anything left behind. If that wasn't good enough....they next day the company sent in their gutter crew to replace all of the trim, seamless gutters and downspout. I still smile every time I look at those gutters- this outfit is good! All in all we are extremely pleased with the work performed and the cost for that work. I would certainly recommend this company and will use them again in the future for windows most likely.

The person that was scheduled to complete the estimate was late and no call from the company. After about an hour, I called the office to find out the estimator was delayed at the first appointment and would arrive shortly. When he arrived it took him about a half hour to come up with an estimate, he never went on the roof, he just eyeballed the task. When he was done he handed me the estimate and said if I had any questions to call the office, because he was late for his next appointment. I had 4 other estimates at this point so I knew what the price range should have been, Sahlem's was not the cheapest nor was it the most expensive. I selected them in spite of the way the estimator conducted himself. The quality of work performed by the crew was outstanding. They worked very well together and seamed to have very good knowledge of the roofing process. I was impressed that the site setup took about an hour so my landscape would be protected. The only issue I had was that 3 branches were broken off my trees, but this was unpreventable in my eyes. The job took two days to complete because of the additional work required to remove the siding to install the StormGuard. At the end of the day, the cleanup crew arrived and did a great job dealing with the old roofing and the large amout of plastic wrap from the new materials. Other than the fact that the grass was a little tramped down, you could not see anything distressed on our lot. The lead person from the gutter/downspout crew told me that a person would be back on Monday to powerwash my house, I didn't know this was part of the contract, but he did a great job and now I won't need to do it this year.

My sister recommended them to me. They did a good job. They had a crew of eight people come out, and they completed the work in five days. They cleaned up after themselves.

They were professional but their prices were not in the competitive range. They covered everything that needed to be done. They were responsive.

as above, poor experience. I felt that my time was wasted waiting for them.

Rep arrived earlier than appt. scheduled. We explained the job we wanted done, ( a flat roof,) He looked at it quickly and said we don't need a roof, and was quickly on his way. Seemed like good news at the time, until we had several other companies out to find we really did need a new roof. He did'nt really seem interested in the job.

I never got the bid. I think he just decided not to take on the job for whatever reason. I never heard from him again. He knew what the climate is up here and that I needed to get the roof up. He knew that I had a leak in the interior of the house and he could have at least given me an excuse. He spent all of maybe five minutes here. He was on time when he said he was going to be here. I told him my e-mail address to mail the quote, but he had his back to me and I am sure he didn't even take down my e-mail address. I wouldn't even call him again.

They showed up when they said they would, they finished within a short period of time, and they cleaned up all of the debris when they were done. I thought they were very professional.

Used them before and Gave them A in all categories. Called on Friday AM left message concerning roof leak. (Thanksgiving weekend). Monday afternoon, no response. Called 2nd time late afternoon and was told workers who did repairs were off for the season and they could not help. Out of courtesy, I expected a call back early Monday stating they couldn't do a repair so that I could contact someone else. Instead, they ignored me. Received a "sorry" then.

I was very pleased with that. I had called them to get a gutter fixed. They actually do roofing and siding and I didn't realize that but they still came out and did the work for me despite the fact that they don't really focus on that type of work. They still came out and did it and that was pretty good of them. I thought that their price was pretty fair. The quality was good. I would get quotes from them again in the future, depending on the job. I would recommend them to others.

Team showed up on time The Material suppliers arrived within 20 minutes of the roofing crew The dumptser was dropped on the street, not in the driveway. Several workers stripped the roof and then applied the new materials The entire process was completed in about 4 hours start to finish except the replacement gutters. The Gutter crew came a couple of days later and erected the gutters. The Gutters are of better quality and superior installation compared to the old ones. The owner of the company came out and figured the estimate prior to the job. He was professional and knowlegable. His estimate was fair and within the mid range of the Estimates solicited and procured. Clean up of the old materials and waste was ongoing during the job. By completion there was no debris from the project left in the yard. My neighbor cooperated by moving her car away from the construction activity, which enabled the crew to avoid accidentally marring her vehicle. The final invoice for the job was within the parameters of the estimate and only included the additional plywood roofing materials needed to ensure the integrity of the new roof. I would recommend this company to my neighbors. We have had several intense storms since the new roof was installed and it has not shown any signs of stress. No leaks have been discovered where the standpipes exit from the roof. The crew also removed and re-installed the antenna supports for the various antennas which had been installed on the roof. I did, however take down and re-erect the antenna masts and antennas as they required special handling care during re-installation.

As impressed as I am with their quality and efficiency I am even more impressed by their employees. As each crew came I made a point to introduce myself. The people I met work for Sahlem's between 6 and 30 years. Every employee was very professional and took great pride in their work. I would defiantly hire Sahlem's again.
