Magic Assistants

Description of Work: I recently was notified by my cleaners that they would no longer be providing service. Anyone who has ever gone through the experience of finding people that you trust in your home and to do a quality job can imagine that I was very upset. Then I found Magic Assistants! They were very responsive, willing to work with me to get me on a schedule that was convenient for me and did an excellent job the very first visit! It turns out that having my previous service go out of business was a very good thing for me and my home. I highly recommend Magic Assistants.

Description of Work: 2 women were here for 2 hours. Although they did not get through my entire home in this time, they did a very thorough job on the completed areas. I would use them again.

Description of Work: The contract said 4 hours of cleaning (1 person) or 2 hours (2 persons). They were a little late getting here (rush hour traffic + bad weather). But they did a fair job cleaning. They were meticulous at cleaning the bathrooms (that's what took up a majority of their time). And the wood on the staircase was gleaming when they left! My only complaint - they didn't use a checklist (like most professionals do) and they missed little things - like windowsills were completely untouched. And they ran out of time by the time they got to the kitchen. They did overstay (without over-charging) to mop the kitchen floor, etc. All in all, a good job for a great price!

Description of Work: Spoke with the owner about needing the home cleaned for company I was having. She totally understood and was extremely responsive. Two ladies came on time. Were very thorough and professional. They did a great job. Will be having them back.

Description of Work: Housecleaning, special attention to hardwood floors. Went very well, I now have them come on a regular schedule.

Description of Work: Did not dust about half the furniture. I informed Melissa that some furniture had not been dusted the previous time and she stated she would personally make sure it was all polished. Again, the house was left with numerous pieces not dusted nor polished. Their version of washing the floors is simply to spray something on the floor and go over it with an implement that is similar with the dust mop used in halls in schools, office buildings, etc. Therefore, the shine on the floor is blotchy to say the least. I observed Melissa is one of the bathrooms using a tiny whisk broom and tiny dust pan on the floor. Not very efficient use of her time when a vacuum or regular broom would do the job. I went over the floor with the traditional mop and bucket method after the two ladies left and was appauled by the dirty water in the bucket when I finished. I am giving them one more chance and will have to take MY time to supervise them to insure they do what I am paying them for. I do not know what products they use, but the are not quality in my opinion. After they cleaned my walk-in shower, I almost fell when I used it that night as the floor was very slippery. Not good, not good at all. NOT PLEASED. My house is a clean house (so to speak) to begin with and it is not a hard job to clean (and that is per Melissa & myself).
