Magic Assistants

We were disappointed. They were not there at the appointed time. We had to call them. Came 15 minutes later. We discussed what needed to be done. We had them start with just 2 rooms-kitchen and living room. They charged $600 for 4 hours. When we arrived back 3 hours later, we found the 2 rooms very much like they were. No floor or counter or table or couch was cleared. No floor or counter or table or sink was washed. Thus, it was a waste of $600. One girl was washing dishes and one girl was sweeping a small 3 foot circle-the only piece of floor that showed. On the plus side, they were polite and the refrigerator was cleared of expired food. The manager had also stopped in and was professional in manner. I realize that cleaning a room where a hoarder lives is a difficult task. But their online ad states they handle these situations. To return and find the rooms just as cluttered and nothing washed but dishes was a big disappointment. I feel so bad for the tenant who paid $600 for this service. I request that Magic Assistants refund him a portion of his money. Keep $300 for the 3 girls who came and refund him $300 seems fair.

They were good! Just disappointed that they couldn't mop my basement floor. I did respond via e-mail prior to them coming, indicating that my cellar floors were cement. They said they couldn't do them because all they had was swifter type mop that couldn't go across my floors. This was very important to me so thats why I gave a B for their rating. But they were very nice and did a good sweeping.

They are quick and efficient, very well price.

Worst experience with service people I have ever had. Three girls showed up and all they had to do was wipe down walls, baseboards, and window sills. Amazingly they couldn’t even manage to get that done. They talked to each other non-stop in the same room instead of spreading out and focusing on the work to be done. I asked one of them to start the bathroom on a different floor and I went down to check on her. I stood listening for a few minutes and there was no noise whatsoever. She had shut the door so I opened it to see what on earth she had been doing for 20 minutes. To my amazement she was sitting on the toilet looking at her phone. Ridiculous! One of the girls repeatedly picked up her ringing cell phone to chat instead of work. I could not wait for them to leave. My favorite part was when they attempted to swindle me by charging over three times the advertised amount. Almost $800!!!! I had to point out that that is not what they advertised. Her response was, “people pay it all the time”. What people? Ones that you are swindling. Once we agreed on a price she tried to further cheat me by saying the sales tax was almost $50! Any fool can calculate simple sales tax which is illegal to charge on a service in New York State to begin with. She wrote up some bogus receipt and wrote all of my credit card information on it. As if I would trust them with my credit card information! I had to hire another cleaning crew that repeatedly stated that nothing had been done by them. No kidding! Do not hire this company. They are cheaters and theives and should not be on Angie’s list!

They came on time but all three started in the bathroom (Seem to be taking their time cleaning it) which took awhile and there wasn’t enough time to finish the whole job. Like I said they started off slow, and then seem to be in a hurry and did a rush job but did not get to finish what I wanted them to. Also it seemed like they were short on supplies . Left streaks Cleaning the Living room floor. And didn’t get to half of the tasks I wanted them to. This was my second time having them clean for me. The first time there was two of them and they did an awesome job. Overall, They were Friendly but I was not happy with the results this time. I was very disappointed but because they did such a great job the first time , I’ll give them one more chance.

Work performed but not as well as previous times. Different group which seemed to be in a rush. Came late in the day. Would try again because of previous good experiences.

Came early(that was OK) and seemed to rush service. Missed some spots or did not properly clean. Group that did my brother-in-laws from did a much more thorough job in same time allotted.

Very well. Three cleaners came and they hit the entire house in 1.5 hours. Very happy with how everything looked.

The baseboards were clean, thats about it. Vacuumed around furniture, didnt expect that sofas be moved, but it seemed that everything was not moved. Even the small stuff. Kitchen table was dirty

It was fair. It was a special. Their price was fair for a special. I wouldn't pay their full price.

Better than expected. They cleaned areas that I always missed. Nice eye for detail.

The girls were very efficient and did a great job!

They did not clean UNDER any furniture, even though I specifically asked for that. They also showed up 45 minutes late, but "made it up" by sending three people. They do a great job in kitchens and bathrooms, but they do not dust and sweep to my standards.

They did the very basic, skipping a lot, and spending an hour and 38 minutes here, not the full 2 hours as I thought.

They're really great for just getting everything clean at once. They get all my rooms, pick up clutter and put it away. I've had a couple different girls now with the company but they're friendly, good with my kids, and manage to clean around us while we're here so I enjoy having them in my house. These are the people I'm most comfortable around with.

Jolene, Dee and Lanny did a great job cleaning and organizing! They were friendly, professional and did a great job.

Did well but as I had not given up front I needed oven cleaned it still needs going over with oven cleaner

Showed up on time and 2 cleaners worked for full 2 hours. We friendly and did a nice job. Would hire again.
