They're still like a punch list and things that they taking care of. They're work is gorgeous. They did siding, windows and exterior doors. They build a porch and put it downstairs.

Kaz Companies was local company to my community and I like supporting my local community. They were very prompt just as Ivy Lea Construction was. The sale man was more I guess more professional. He had a little bit more about construction than the sale man from Ivy Lea Construction. On the response time, it take some time to get back to us and Ivy Lea is like two or three messages.

I had a leak in my roof. I called Kaz and spoke to Brian, the guy in charge of roofing. This was Friday. He said that he'd call me Monday to give me notice that he was coming over to look at it. He never called. A week later I called him again and left a message, asking what had happened to him. He never returned my call. Forget these people!

The project took two weeks. They remodeled our upstairs bathroom. The corner shower was replaced with a beautifully tiled shower with a built-in seat. ITiled insets were inserted in a diamond shape in the bigger tile. The work was well done. The floor was replaced. New light fixture and mirror installed. Replaced the vanity and toilet. The toilet was moved from one side of the bathroom to the other to make room for the larger shower. Installed a new fan and ran a new electrical line for the fan installation. The whole experience was very positive. The worker was very courteous. His work area was kept clean. He did a super job. We are very happy with the end result and his work. We would definitely use again.

Overall, Kaz did an excellent job. They did an estimate for us within a few days, and scheduled the work within 6 weeks. When compared with 2 other contractors, Kaz offered the best price. The skylight was replaced with a Vellux brand product (with a reliable reputation and warrenty) and the drywall was replaced, sanded and primed. All of this was done in 2 visits during the same week and totally cleaned up without a trace of dust or debris. I would highly recommend Kaz for any similar work.

They never came back or called back after their initial review of my project. As a matter of fact, I went there once and the guy apologized for not coming over and said he would get back to us later that same week but he did not get back with us or call us at all. He was professional the one time he came out and had a company outfit on.

Work began on 9/4/2012 and continued for about one month. Quality was extremely high. Woodworking was nearly cabinetmaker quality. Workers were very polite and highly professional. They took a genuine propriety interest in the quality of their and took pains to deliver value-added performance in all phases. Very satisfied overall.

Kaz Brothers did install new soffits and gutters on my home. However, they never drilled holes in the wooden soffits as we had contractually agreed upon. Therefore there was no way air could get into the roof for proper ventilation. This caused excess heat to form in my attic which started melting the snow on my roof. This ultimately resulted in a water issue for the structure of my home. I have a certificate from Kaz Brothers that states I have a 10 year warranty on the labor from this project. When Rick, the owner of Kaz Brothers, observed the water issues he stated it was an insulation issue, not a soffit hole drilling issue. I continued to request Rick drill the holes in the soffits due to the danger of the water coming into my house. However, Kaz Brothers would not even come out to drill the holes for free. Instead they stated I would need to pay them to have their serviceman come out. I eventually was forced to hire a second company to drill the soffit holes at an expense of $635. I am still seeking the $635 in compensation from Kaz Brothers.

The details of the contract were worked out with several trips to their office to exchange information. They offered us six-months-same-as-cash which we took advantage of. We were able to select bathroom fixtures, cabinets, tile, vinyl flooring from their showroom which offers a large selection of quality materials. This was very convenient and saved us much shopping time because we could coordinate colors right there. We did have to shop for lighting and carpet which were not included in the contract price.. Every remodeling job is going to run into unexpected issues. We have learned to expect the unexpected. For example, we did not anticipate replacing the large window in the former bedroom with a shorter one when it became a bathroom. Also, the baathroom vinyl had a defect and so it was replaced at no addional cost. We were able to work with them to come up with agreeable solutions to each unexpected issue. Working with contractors requires patience and trust on both parties. They were always willing to listen or change when discussed without criticism. They have guarenteed their work. After a month, our shower began to leak into the basement. We thought, Oh No! We are facing another extensive remodel. But that was not the case. After several trips to our house to diagnose the problem, the shower was fixed quickly with little addional mess. We have gotten rave reviews from friends and family on the outcome.

It turned out beautifully and we had a great experience. They had done two full bathroom remodels for us which we are very happy with as well

Kaz Brothers in-house plumber was not licensed in Amherst, so they used an outside plumber who was. His work was shoddy and substandard. Our water pressure to the upstairs is now significantly lower than it has ever been. The plumber suggested that we need all of our old existing iron pipes replaced. I checked our water pressure in the line and it read 58psi - normal for the town of Amherst.The remodel included removing the existing radiator and replacing it with a small unit located on the floor underneath the new vanity with an integrated cylindrical fan - impossible to access until they came back and cut out a panel on the vanity base and put in an access plate. But the drawers and drawer glides have to be removed in order to remove the plate.The radiators in the house were never bled properly by the plumber and no bleeder valve had ever been put on the new heater. This resulted in a continuing gurgling sound every time the unit cycled. On a return trip, the plumber put in the valve but never bled or recharged the line. I've tried bleeding it and re-charging the water, but it has continued to gurgle which is more of an annoyance than anything else.In the final analysis, Kaz Brothers does good work and are very professional along with being a bit pricey. I would never have them do any more work for us which involved any plumbing.

it was a long and tedious job. the work was done on time. the job was a time and materials job. things had to be rebuilt after a water repair job.

The quality of workmanship stood out to me. The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional.

I liked how they educate their customers about their products and its features. They also thought us how to properly maintain the door which I appreciated.

The work began as promised and continued on schedule. There were no surprises along the way. The communication with Kaz was excellent and plans were followed as indicated. Upon signing the contract,we were assigned a project coordinator who helped us to pick out all of the fixtures, tile, flooring, cabinetry etc. that were needed for the project. This allowed all the materials to be ordered and delivered on time for the project to proceed as scheduled. Any changes that we made during the project were signed off by us after being given the job cost. The work crew were knowledgable, friendly, professional and polite.They cleaned up after each day and left the house safe for our dogs to explore at night. Overall, Kaz did an amazing job! We would not hesitate to recommend them!

They did a great job. They were very efficient. They cleaned up everything. They were just professional. I'm only talking about the roofing and I don't know about their other jobs. They do a lot of different work but the roofing is exceptional.

I contacted Kaz for a quote on roofing repairs and interior drywall/ceiling repairs based upon the glowing recommendation of an acquaintance and also due their fine history on Angie's List. Initially, they told me they could not come to give me an estimate/quote for approximately three (3) weeks. This was not satisfactory to me. The person who recommended them gave me the name of his "contact" to see if I could get a more timely quote and they did then reschedule the estimate visit. The estimator was punctual and courteous and gave me honest information and recommendations. I asked him to quote (a) roof "tune-up" and remediation, (b) full roofing job, (c) new gutters and (d) interior ceiling (drywall) repair. To his credit, he told me he did not feel I needed a new roof, but I asked him to provide a quote for me to consider. He followed up a few days later with a verbal quote on (a), (b),and (c) and said that it would be a "few more days" to get the quote on (d) because their drywall person was on vacation. I told him that I would probably not opt for a new roof but would instead want to just do the roof tune-up, which he agreed would be sufficient at this time. Unfortunately, that was the last I ever heard from them. They never called back with the drywall repair quote and they never followed up with a written estimate/quote or any further follow-up phone calls.Subsequently, I contracted with another roofing company that had been prompt, thorough and similarly positive on Angie's List. They performed the work to my satisfaction.I will say that Kaz's estimate on the roof tune-up and remediation, and gutter replacement was in the same range as the other companies who gave me estimates. I felt their full roofing estimate was on the high side, but as I has decided not to do a full roof this is not relevant. I cannot make any comments about the quality of their work since I did not have them do any work for me. I have no idea why they failed to give me the drywall quote or why they did not follow up with me, but my guess is that my planned work was too small of a job for them to be interested in doing.

The work is good quality. The crew was very good.

I will use them again in the future.

They are excellent. They were more expensive than the others. But they did a good job. I could have taken other people but they have done work for me before. If anything went wrong they came right back and fixed it. They are very professional and their work is meticulous. Price wise basically I went with their warranty and I bought the most expensive baseboards. I would definitely use them in the future.

What impresses me is their professionalism. Their estimate was right on the money; two thumbs up for Kaz. They were excellent; their estimate came in below what we thought it would be -- it was the lowest of the quotes we got. Their customer service was great and they took their time with us. They explained everything including the installation and the cost. They were above and beyond what we expected and I will use them again in the future.

Their product was excellent. The guys were here and did what they said they would do and cleaned up every night. The price was a little on the higher side but the quality of the product was there.

They were very professional and punctual. They were very competent. I did not have any problem with their work.

Our deck is beautiful. We spent $8000 on that service. It was a quality job for the money we paid. They were on time and professional. They want to give the customer the best experience possible with the upheaval of construction. They are working very well with the painter who is supposed to come out and do this next job.
