We were referred to Certified Home Inspections through a friend. This home will be the second one we've purchased, and there's no comparison between the first home inspection and this one. Mr. Esposito of Certified Home Inspections was punctual, professional, and courteous. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. His fee was extremely reasonable, much less than we paid for our previous home inspection. His expertise of structure, electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, etc was beyond what we expected. His home inspection report was very detailed and thorough. We are extremely satisfied and 100% recommend Dominick Esposito and Certified Home Inspections.

The inspector did a great job. He was very thorough. He actually got there before we did. He took a note and made notations regarding the boiler, the plumbing, the electrical and so forth. He pointed out even the small things like a minor leak in the kitchen sink and he highlighted potential things that could be high-ticket items in terms of expenses. I liked that he gave reasonable estimates of how much something would cost. He prioritized which things need to be addressed immediately. He was very polite and down to earth.

Dominick was referred to me by his father (also on Angie's List) as his father wasn't available on the date I needed.Dominick showed up on time (my wife and I were slightly late) and was very professional from the start. This was for a 2 BR condo I wanted to buy and submitted an offer for, but I wanted someone to be completely honest and objective as this inspection wasn't meant to confirm my purchase, but to find all the flaws and determine whether there were any major structural issues that wouldn't be addressed in a normal walkthru "punchlist" or might make the building unsafe or less valuable in the future. Dominick did a thorough inspection in every room, took photos, made notes, and got us a detailed report at the end (only took 1 day). He identified several major issues and design flaws that my wife and I hadn't noticed previously - we submitted them to our attorney, who confirmed that these issues likely wouldn't be addressed by a walkthru (especially since a purchase contract would've been signed by then). We very much appreciated Dominick's work and thought he was great value for the money and would use him again.

Dominick was referred to us by his father, John Esposito because he wasn't available for a Saturday home inspection Mother's Day weekend. The house is old and in need of a lot of "tlc" so we wanted to ensure that we got a thorough inspection. Dominick was available to come all the way to Staten Island at a fair price and would cover the roof, plumbing, electrical, etc. When he arrived he went straight to work, inspecting the outside of the home. When he was done with the outside he explained everything that he saw, how it should be and gave estimates of what it would cost to repair. He did the same inside the house, basement and the roof. In all he spent about 2 hours calling out everything he saw in this house. An important thing to note is that the seller advised that he lived in the house for over 40 years and the house had always been gas. Dominick identified where the oil tank was buried in the front yard and suggested we request the seller have the tank removed. After more research we learned about the environmental nightmare an underground oil tank could be if not properly abandoned. I'm not sure another inspector would have called that out. Some banks won't give you a loan with an underground oil tank that has not been abandoned properly. The day after the inspection we received a report from Dominick that was approximately 47 pages long with images, details and a summary. I would recommend Dominick again and again.
