Joe and Mark did a really great job on a difficult retrofitting project, were on time, finished when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves, and were very polite. Aesthetics were important to us and they did really well keeping the visible parts of the system minimal and oriented with the rest of the space. Thank you!"

"This was the most money we have ever paid anyone to do anything...ever. The Sheridans had our trust throughout the entire process. They gave an affordable quote and did awesome work. They cleaned up during each stage of the project and always communicated well with me about timing and issues that came up. Our garage dimensions were awkward and not a perfect rectangle by any means - these guys had to craft a kit of workarounds for irregular shapes and curves. Todd and Luke are good human beings with positive attitudes, and care about their integrity and their work. I hope to use them in the future."

"Only thing I can say about Roger, is if you talk to him, record all he says on your phone of all he'll do. He damaged ruined, not one but two, very expensive chimney caps, they cut through the wrong chimney cap. Cutting a hole in the wrong one first, then patched the hole without telling me. After several months of the old boiler sitting in the basement, he did show up alone and had to disassembled it in my basement so he could carry it out. His last trip up the stairs, the extremely heavy part caught on the top step and broke the stairs and he promised to fix all the items. When we had to call him due to boiler not working He told my wife and I, he would be back in the spring to install the right screen, replace cap to correct. I emailed him on 6/29/2020 about the promises he made, again a few months ago, when our boiler stopped working after about 18 months, too soon after about 5 grand spent. He denied ever telling me he'd make it right! he actually lied right to my face about using steel wool for the boiler vent! I had asked him if it would of fallen in the pipe, would it hurt the boiler? he assured me, if it did fall in no harm would happen. I asked a local supplier and they told me it would clog up the vent!!!! All I did was email him to see when he was coming to fix the issues. He emailed me and told me he never said or did any of that? When I questioned him again, he said he would send a check for a new cap, of course never rec'd. I mentioned going to small claims for the expenses I am occuring, he emailed me back and told me he will call the police for harassing him?? After talking with my wife, I decided it was not worth it, unless the boiler gets clogged. I went and bought the right screen, after installing it, there was no way it was going anywhere. He along with everything else, said I must have hired someone else who did it wrong. So he was going to counter sue me for defamation. He did say he had medical issues and handed over the business to his son. I'm leaving it as it stands, it's been an upside down world so far in 2020. So things are not going right for most people right now. This is a public forum to express my experience with this company,, along with all notes emails and photos if anyone needs to contact me. Roger, please don't threaten me about this review and experience. It can only be taken down by me. Sorry about any medical issues you are facing, your companies insurance company would of taken care of these issues, along with paying expenses, this is why having business insurance is a must for all businesses. Best of luck UPDATE.7/29/2020 3 weeks ago I wrote above, since then we discovered damage to the concrete and tile had fallen into the attic. This was probably the way they inserted the PVC up the chimney. Along with the other damage he did to my property, noted above. Now have no choice but to get an estimate and take his company to small claims court. Please be cautious on whatever he does in your house, record on cell phone entire conversation, either in person or on the phone. He'll lie right to your face. I asked him if I could contact Chad who did 90% of the work. He'd said he doesn't work for him. He did send an email saying he talked to Chad and he said they never did any of that!!! refused to give me his number. Waiting for Covid to subside, have damage report, can't wait to see him lie under oath........He sells Generators now, hope you never have to use it??."

"I ordered a part from this company for my dryer. They claim: 2 Day Quick Delivery! 365 Day Return Policy! Free Tech Support! I returned the unused part in their own packaging and they refused to provide a refund! Apparently, there's some hidden small print in their return policy that if you open the box and touch the product, that item is no longer eligible for a refund. They claim that the part showed signs of installation such as scuff marks. I asked for the part to be sent back to me for inspection by other professionals, but they refused because they disposed of the part. I've never encountered with such a scam company as this one and advise all to stay away from their misleadings! Good luck trying to get a refund from them, you're not getting one."

Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an uncertified HVAC pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. A certified HVAC technician tackling your home projects protects you as a homeowner.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Certified” badge. Angi Certified businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Knowing how long your existing HVAC units can last is essential to determine if you need a repair or replacement. Typically, most modern air conditioning units can last between 15 to 20 years, and most furnaces can work properly for 15 to 30 years. If your HVAC system is on the older side and you decide to replace one unit, it might make sense to replace both simultaneously to save on costs and future hassle.
While different HVAC contractors might offer higher or lower prices than competitors, the best time to replace your HVAC system is when customer demand is low. The beginning of summer and the beginning of winter bring the most demand for HVAC systems, so if you can, consider replacing your HVAC units in the early spring or fall. Many HVAC companies offer special off-season coupons that help lower the overall cost.
The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.
The average cost of HVAC repairs is around $350. However, that price can be as low as $100 or as high as $2,000 or more, depending on the repair. For example, replacing a capacitor is a relatively inexpensive repair, ranging from $100 to $500. However, a compressor repair is a more expensive repair, ranging from $750 to $2,000.
