SCANAPICO LANDSCAPING

It was an absolute pleasure working with James. He did an AMAZING job and I couldn't have asked for anything better. He blew me away with his designs. They were very quick and responsive and they got the job done fast and efficient. I would recommend his company to anyone! it was such a great experience! we will definitely use him again for a patio and sprinklers.

We started the process in late March and while the process was long due to weather delays -- the wait was well worth it. Workmanship excellent. Through the entire process James Scanapico kept me abreast of workflow and time time frames as conditions would allow. James always gave me the option of not waiting and to find another contractor I am glad I did wait.

The porch came out beautiful. I think the price could have been a little better though.

Although we did have to insist on a written contract, the project went well. The work looks great and Joe promised to return (spring 2014) to address any bleeding on the stoop. Joe is a pleasure to work with. He knows his craft and is a stickler for detail. You can tell he is proud of his work.

It was pretty good, I think those were the guys that said they'd be at my house at a certain time, didn't show up, I waited for them and then they finally showed up later. It took like 2 to 3 times for them to get to my house when they said they were going to be there and based on that I wouldn't use them. As I recall it was a good impression except that they didn't show up when they said they were going to show up. The quote was $35 per week.

They quoted me $200. My husband dealt with them and everything went fine.

When you have a job done by the Scanapico brothers and their crew you feel like you are part of their family. Their work is outstanding, and the new pavers in my yard look beautiful. James and Troy were both on my jobsite to make sure we were completely satisfied. James was prompt, polite and professional in all aspects of the job, from our first conversation, our visit to his showroom, and his visit to our home for our estimate. We can't wait to have them back again next year to complete work on the front of our home.

The workmanship by James Scanapico and his crew was excellent. The crew worked well together and James was on the jobsite until the work was completed. As the job progressed, the crew kept the area clean and made certain all debris was removed at the end of the job. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our new driveway, walkway and patio. It was obvious that James takes great pride in his work!

Extremely professional, called on Monday, estimate on Tuesday job completed on Saturday. Very well qualified and professional crew. Left no mess and planted seed where grass was removed and no pavers were placed. We are recommending them to a family friend and if anyone asks who did our walkway would give their name. We were so impressed with service that we are considering switching our landscaping service to Scanapico.

Contacted James scanapico on a Saturday morning for an estimate on a 54x16 ft. concrete driveway and concrete patio and he showed up a few hours later to take a look at the project. He was the only contractor who came the same day. Price quote was better than other quotes obtained. Gave us a date for work to begin and came on that scheduled day. Driveway and patio were dug out, formed and poured on the same day. Service like that is hard to come by. Professional & friendly family service rendered. Did an outstanding job on my driveway. Would absolutely use him again & recommend him to friends & family.

Our new patio area looks wonderful! Mr. Scanapico and his crew came early and stayed all day until our new patio was completed. It was a very hot day, and there were many more roots in the site area then anticipated, but his professional crew continued working throughout the day, and cleaned up 100%. My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to have future work done by Scanapico Landscaping. In fact we have already recommended his work to neighbors who are interested in having paving work done and were impressed by the results of our lovely new patio area (and sidewalk) paved with Nicolock Granite City Blend pavers.

We decided to not go with blacktop. James and his team created an all pavers driveway and for the same price he added a fan at the bottom of the driveway. His estimate was very reasonable and we received several. His was the only estimate where he promised to complete the work in one day. The work is complete and we are thrilled with the results. A couple of points worth mentioning. James asked us to visit his showroom after visiting our house. We did. He decided to show us some of the work he had completed in Babylon in recent time and brought us to a home where work was in progress. He really goes out of his way to impress his customers. He enjoys what he does. He'll look for a compliment when the job is done! He wouldn't take a deposit before the work began. Not sure I would run my business like that! He most certainly does, however, collect in full at the end of the day. He has quite a team. Several are gifted individuals who seek perfection in what they do as they prepare the surface and begin laying the stone. My wife and I were very impressed. Lastly, I am not one to rate someone straight "A"s but I see no shortcomings in any of the categories Angie's list seeks a response on. James was concerned he would not be able to get our driveway done before Father's Day because the amount of rain we had set him back. I had really come to terms that the driveway was going to be done the week following Father's Day but he called us on the Tuesday night prior and said his team would be there the next day. There are a lot of products, options, textures and prices when getting a job like this done. I enjoyed learning something from each of the estimates we got. We made the right choice with Scanapico Brothers and I highly recommend them.

I went to a home show and had a bunch of estimates come in from contractors to redo my backyard patio and stoop. The owner, James, came by when it was convenient for me to give me an estimate. It was hair higher than the lowest estimate, but then again I couldn't find any reviews or feedback from the other guy. So after reading reviews online I decided to go with Scanapico. After a few delays, due to the weather, the work finally started. They had about 7 guys come in each knowing what their job was and they went about doing so. We uncovered some problems with the thick concrete from the old patio and stoop but in the end they made it work out. Plus my backyard stoop is HUGE and they did a great job of recreating a new one. Next year I will be replacing my old cracked concrete driveway with a new paver one and will most likely be using them again.

Came out better than expected. Two of my neighbors have now used Scanapico for their yards and are very satisfied.

We obtained 5 or 6 quotes for the work to be done and Scanapico was competitive but not the lowest. We visited their showroom and selected the stone and contracted for the work. They required absolutely no money down, made the appointment and showed up first thing in the morning on the day of the job. We reviewed the plan, made some changes based on their suggestions and work began. Everything went smoothly and the job was completed in one day! The quality of the work is excellent. We are extremely satisfied and would definitely use them again.

Received an estimate for masonry work (walkways) and driveway to be done. The estimate came in much lower than everyone else so we decided to give him a shot. After two postponements due to his machinery breaking down we did not hear from him again. Could just be unlucky timing, but I wouldn't recommend their services.

We called for an estimate and they came quickly. Work was done very quickly and it was done to our utmost satisfaction. We are very pleased and would use them again. We would like to note that we used them in the past for our driveway and patio and was also satisfied with that job.

Crew arrived pretty much on time and went to work. Each seemed to know what his job funtion was and what he was responsible for. Work seemed to flow nicely. After the porch was finished, post holes were dug for the wooden posts used to mount the hand rails. Lumber was not cut to fit due to the fact that the holes were dug some 5 feet down to allow for only the needed footage exposed to mount the handrails. A VERY solid and stable way of doing which I was please to see. All was level and true when completed. A very nice job. I did have 2 other estimates which came in a little less but choose Scanapico due to them being the neighborhood business. Unknown how the others work would have come out so I really can't say that you get what you pay for.

A great experience from start to finish.

this is my third or fourth try to get a decent trustworthy landscaper and clean up crew...and im very sorry i did not get them first a few years ago..GET THEM FIRST...the yard is clean of debris and the spruce trees planted are beautiful, and full...there isn't a branch or a twig left in the yard and trust me it was full of leaves, and debris...I have hired them to do my weekly yard maintenance and flower planting and really cant wait for them to start...thanks to SCANAPICO..GREAT JOB ALL AROUND...AND POLITE!!!

They were good. They were neat. The price was reasonable. I didn't pay this guy a penny until the work was done. So, he was very cooperative and wasn't worried about getting paid. He was very cooperative all around. A lot of companies want half up front or something like that, but this wasn't the case. I had a crack on one place and they came back out and fixed it. No complaints. All in all I thought he was a guy you could feel comfortable dealing with.

Started with the patio. It was so beautiful, we had them do more work. They worked from 7-7, and only took a half hour break. They worked like animals and cleaned up, even sweeping the street and raking the yard.

SCANAPICO IS VERY PROMPT AND RELIABLE EVERY WEEK. YOU KNOW YOU CAN COUNT ON THEM TO BE THERE. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND THEIR PRICES ARE REASONABLE. I HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS.
