SCANAPICO LANDSCAPING

We got our quote from James on March 31st and choose our pavers at the showroom on April 1st. He promised to have the work completed by Memorial Day. Even told us to set up a nice party. What a joke this company is. We called and texted many times. So many no shows when he made appointments with us. The shipment of pavers sat in front of our house from June 28th until August 05th. On August 4th after yet ANOTHER no show he very rudely answers the phone and tells me he can’t deal with me and he’d stop by the next day. I told him that wouldn’t work for us and I expressed that I felt he was very unprofessional for the way he’s handled business with us. Not one time did he call us with an update. Not a single time did he reach out. After I expressed that I was unhappy with how unprofessional he was he asked me in a very rude way if I wanted him to just get his bricks and go. I couldn’t believe it. After waiting since March that’s how he chose to handle the situation because he was unhappy with my criticism. I told him that it was fine and he should just get his bricks off my property ASAP. By the silence on the other end of the phone I could tell that he didn’t expect for me to call his bluff. What a terrible businessman. Things happen for a reason and even though we waited so long, I’m glad we ended up firing him. We found a wonderful contractor and our yard will be done very soon! Do yourself a favor a stay away from this company.

Never came back to make repairs that were needed as promised and was to replace the blacktop driveway it is now 19 months later always a bs story lies and false promises stay away from this clown now in process of legally taking it to another level in

James and Troy did a wonderful job. They and their crew showed up promptly every morning (for 3 days) at 8am to begin the job. Only taking lunch at 12:30, they worked until well after 6. James explained the process, Troy worked on site, and the job was completed by 3pm the 3rd day. The crew did beautiful work and we happily recommend their services.

James and Troy and crew are very professional and do great work and leave the job sight clean and ready to use the moment they are done. They show up on time and work all day they don’t goof off like others. They come and do the job as if it is their own home. Will definitely use again and highly recommend them.

Great. They came to the house and did an estimate. Then we went to the showroom and picked the materials. Then we set an installation date. They took no money up front and didn't ask for their fee until the job was complete to our satisfaction. They did great work, neat and fast with a 6 man crew plus the boss. They surveyed the ground and established the grade to slope away from the house. My wife and I are both thrilled with our new patio and I would hire Scanapico again without hesitation!

We were promised the stoop and driveway by Father's Day and boy did they deliver. They started work on 6/7 and were finished the next day, 6/8. The driveway, stoop, and walkway turned out beautiful. The guys worked their tails off and cleaned up everything before leaving. They were also polite and if something needed clarification they provided it. Thank you to James, Troy and their group of great guys!

Looks great. James and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Nice guy. No hard sell ; we were able to consider options, colors. Reasonable price, his paver driveway was no much more than other contractors concrete driveway.

How does one begin to describe perfection? When we set about to replace our concrete driveway with pavers, we had no idea where to begin. We checked online and found many masonry contractors specializing in pavers, but how to decide? Ultimately we got quotes from 5 contractors but chose Scanapico for the following reasons. Professionalism: James Scanapico arrived exactly on time, in a clean, well organized company truck and set about to give us an estimate. James determined our needs, made several suggestions and wrote us out a proposal on a company proposal sheet, unlike one of his competitors who wrote out a proposal on the back of an envelope. Recommendation: When we went looking at pavers at Nicolock's showroom in Lindenhurst, we asked who Nicolock would recommend. We were told without reservation that they would recommend Scanapico. Price: Scanapico’s price was very reasonable all things considered. As my dad used to say, "You get what you pay for" Confidence: After we signed the contract with Scanapico, we expected to have to leave a deposit. James told us he did not need a deposit and we would only need to pay him after we were completely satisfied with the job. This was amazing to us. Here is our experience: He told us the job would take 2 days to complete, also amazing. In the scheduled day his crew arrived at 7AM, EXACTLY on time and set to work. It was amazing to watch the swarm of men working. There had to be 6 or 7 men. Each man knew exactly what to do. There was very little conversation; only men working in close coordination. By 11AM the old concrete was torn out, the driveway graded and the border started. At all times either James or his brother Troy was on site. By day’s end at least half of the pavers had been laid. The next morning, right on time and in a light rain, the crew arrived, and by 3PM the driveway was complete. A cleanup was started and the grounds were left in pristine condition Based on our experience we would not hesitate to recommend Scanapico’s Masonry.

Clueless. Makes Appts. Never shows up. Doesn't call. Don't waste your time.

James Scanapico came and saw what we wanted done and said he could do the job in 3 days (weather permitting), His contract states in bold print “NO PAYMENT UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETE!!”. He told us he would start the job on Monday. 8am Monday the men were here working and worked until 7pm. Troy Scanapico was also great. Every question we had he answered it in a way that made you glad you hired the Scanapico Brothers. One of them was on site just about the whole time. All of the 7 workers were very friendly and hard working. In 3 days the job was complete. I am very pleased with the work and would not hesitate to hire the Scanapico Brothers for other work that I need done.

It was great! Owners James and Troy are super and their employees are the same. Professional and polite. No pressure and they are in no rush to throw the materials down and take off. They will not continue on to the next step until everything is 100%. Top quality materials are used. Neat and clean. It was one of the best contractor experiences I have ever had. Job came out perfect. The 850 sq foot driveway is stunning.

They promptly scheduled an appointment to provide us with recommendations and an estimate to remove our old wood deck and build a patio, and followed up to schedule the job. They completed the job in one day despite incredibly hot weather. In addition to removing the old deck and cleaning up, they built the new patio and added an area for a firepit, and finished by putting topsoil around the patio and planting grass seed. They were professional, fast, fair and definitely exceeded our expectations. It looks great!

The final product came out amazing. We are very happy with the work they did.

All the work was completed in 2 days!!!!! Crew was respectful and professional....they listened to our needs and wants and could not be happier with the outcome! Would hire them again and would suggest this " brotherly" company to anyone .....I have to say they even left the yard neater and clutter free at the end of 2 days......also, the side conversations were a blast....kept me laughing and enjoyed having them there 😉

James and his brother did a wonderful job, totally renovating our driveway with pavers. James gave us great ideas to help us design our newly updated front yard, everyone is envious of our new curb appeal. They were very professional, clean, and his workers were devoted to the project.

James and Troy along with their crew did a fantastic job. They arrived on time and obviously knew what they were doing as the install went like clock work. Any issue or concerns were addressed by James immediately and I was left with a job that has my neighbors stopping and letting me know how nice it came out. I do not normally show off what I do around my house but I have taken pictures on my cell phone of before and after to show them to all that I meet. I could not be happier with how this job came out.
