Ready For A Change

Ready For A Change did an excellent job of removing the old wall paper, washing the walls and disposing of all materials. Clean-up was done and I couldn't even tell that she had been there. I am very pleased with the results and will contract with Ready For A Change for the next project.

Kathy did a wonderful job on my powder room. She made a hideous area look beautiful. I was prepared to have the powder room wallpaper removed and then to paint the walls, but because of the way the previous owner applied the wallpaper, we decided to put more wallpaper on the walls. I could not be happier and Kathy did a great job. I would highly recommend her. Thank you Kathy!

We had three contractors provide quotes and Kathy was the lowest so we went with her. Kathy was excellent to work with. She was prompt, neat, quiet, very efficient and flexible. We originally intended to do the trim ourselves to save money but after seeing what a great job she did in our two story foyer we asked her to do the trim in all of the rooms. She agreed to add this to her quote at a very reasonable price. We also changed paint color in some of the rooms after seeing how it looked on the walls. Not a problem. All of the rooms look great - the quality was exceptional. I can't recommend Kathy highly enough. I can't imagine having a better experience with a painting contractor. We will have her back again to do more work later this year.

Kathy is a very pleasant person to do business with and would use her again. She arrived each day on time and cleaned up at the end of each days work. Kathy removed the wall paper sizing from our walls and washed them down the first day and painted skylight trim the first day. The next day repaired walls were necessary , double coated the ceiling and kitchen walls .

Kathy is great to work with. I did not want to spend thousands on this job, but didn't have the time or skill to do this. I thought she did what I asked. If I use her again, I will know to have ceiling paint on hand for touch ups. That was my fault.

She was so kind, efficient. professional, neat and we are beyond pleased with the finished result. Any concerns we had as well as a few changes to the original conversation were responded to with calm reasurrance. She went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Kathy so much! We plan on calling Kathy again in the future for a few other projects we are planning.

Everything went very well and the painting looks great!. We used Kathy for interior painting last fall & were very pleased. We were happy to get her back for this outside work. She is very quick, easy to work with & was flexible to tackle changes to some of the original work we had planned. She has a pleasant personality & is a neat painter who is a very hard worker. We plan more inside work for her soon.

Ready For A Change did a very good job. Our general contractor even said it looked very good. She was very, very nice and very, very good. Her price was very reasonable. I got an estimate from another company and they were $400.00 more.

Kathy was excellent. She did the work alone, worked quickly, and did a great job. I'm at home during the day with young kids, and it was very easy to have her in the working while were were there. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

From start to finish Kathy did a great job painting the interior of our house. She had to strip wallpaper from several rooms including several layers in two rooms. Throughout the job Kathy was cheerful, enthusiastic and professional. The finished work looks excellent. Everything went on time and in budget. Would definitely recommend Kathy for painting.

Very impressed. The hallway has lots of trim ( 4 doorways in the hall and two in bedroom) and she painted the doors too. I am already planning on having her paint the dining room next.

From start to finished, everything went great! Kathy immediately responded to my initial voicemail and we coordinated a time for her to stop by for an estimate. She arrived on time for our estimate meeting and quickly assessed the work and provided me with a very reasonable rough estimated. She explained to me her process and then emailed me the estimate (which didn't change from the original), along with instructions for the paint I would need to purchase for the job. We then scheduled the job and she was able to fit me in a couple of weeks before she originally thought. The weekend prior to the job, she called to confirm that we were still on. The job took two days and everything looks great! After she was done each day she left the area as clean as it was before she started. Overall, Kathy was very professional, puntcual, responsive, reasonably priced and she does quality work. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

1st estimate given in April 2013 for a June start date. Sadly a tragic famiy occurrance in my family required changing the project date out to October 2013. Kathy was extremely kind and understanding while holding the October date open for me for months until I returned to New York. Project involved moving some heavy furniture, a heavy area rug, applying 2 paint coats on each of 2 full bedrooms, ceilings and doors. Also applying 2 coats of Minwax protective finish to all windows. One bedroom paint I had selected was very much darker than what I had realized. Kathy brought it to my attention to clarify if I still wanted to go ahead with that color. Thankful for her alertness I selected another color that I am very much happier with. Original estimate was stated $800 and with 3 days of painting. Coming in $100 under budget and completing the project in two days rather than three was a SHOCKER! She was very very neat in her work, the end result was of the highest quality and she offered decorating suggestions to me as I requested. Also Kathy was extremely timely by completing a day early, never took a break and only stopped 15 minutes each day for lunch as I was in the home during the full time. Completely cleaned up all materials leaving nothing for me to attend to. Kathy was very easy to talk with regarding decorating which is completely NOT my area of expertise and was friendly with a great personality.My having not accomplished any painting/decorating since the 1990 move in day, I was extremely grateful of her assistance and willingness to help with her various suggestions. The decorating tips also were given at NO CHARGE! My only regret through this whole experience is that I waited so long to finally get this project in motion and hire a painter as I am a Senior Citizen.It is such a comfort to remove this great burden from my shoulders. Definitely I am on a roll now. I hired exactly the PERFECT painter/decorator thanks to Angie's list and to Kathy's high skills! With EXTREME SATISFACTION of the great job Kathy accomplished, I have hired her to paint one of the bathrooms in December if/when she has an opening. If not, then definitely when her schedule allows in 2014. She always will be my Painter of choice. I already have additional projects in mind for her. Thank you, thank you, thank you Kathy and of course Angie's List.

Kathy is very punctual, easy to work with, and has a very pleasant personality. She works quickly, neatly and so quietly you don't even know she is there. We have her coming back in the spring to do some exterior painting. The paint job looks great!

I selected Kathy because of her great reviews on Angie's list. Kathy came over to look at the job and provided me with a written estimate the next day (july 5, 2013). Because Kathy is in so much demand, I had to wait until 9/9/2013 for her to start the job. This was perfectly okay with me. Kathy is worth the wait. I was having trouble deciding on what color beige to paint and Kathy gave me several suggestions. Kathy arrived on time every day and cleaned everything up each evening before she left. Kathy is very meticulous with her work. She filled in all the nail holes and fixed some rough areas before she painted. She is also a very pleasant person and is easy to talk with. I enjoyed our conversations. I had to go out of town for three days because of a family emergency and Kathy feed my cat and cleaned the litter box for me. That was above and beyond and a great help to me. Kathy finished the job in the number of days she said it would take and did an excellent job. I am very happy with her work. I would not hesitate to recommend Kathy to anyone and will certainly hire her again in the future if I need any other painting done.
