This is the second large project we have hired Kathy Smith/Ready For A Change for, and we cannot recommend her enough! The quality of her workmanship is top. We asked her to come in and paint over some very dark, dingy, and scuffed up wood paneling. She gave suggestions on color choice and products (primer) to purchase. The work went so quickly! She finished in eight days what would have taken me six months! And it looks just beautiful! She completely transformed the lower level of our house, and gave it fresh new life. She is trustworthy, easy to communicate and to schedule with. She painted the biggest area first, which allowed us to settle into that space while completing the smaller rooms. We had a neighbor compliment us on the lines in our kitchen (from the previous project a year ago), just the other day. Her work holds up. Also, because she is a professional, she uses about half the paint I would use and leaves no mess behind. Ready For A Change/Kathy Smith saved us time, frustration and money. We will continue to hire her and recommend her to friends and family.

We highly recommend Kathy Smith from Ready for a Change to paint your home. She has a wonderful method for removing wallpaper with minimal fuss. She is professional yet personable. She's knowledgeable and skilled. She estimates well the amount of time that she will need to do a job. She does quality work. Kathy has painted most of the rooms in our home over the past few years, and we’ve always been delighted with her workmanship. She is everything you’d want in a painter: knowledgeable, skilled, and meticulous in her attention to detail. Her trim work is exceptional; you won’t find a stray brush mark. She is professional in her conduct, quiet but friendly, and very tidy. We recently made the mistake of hiring someone else to do some carpentry and painting, reasoning that it would be easiest to have one person who could do both jobs. Then we hired Kathy to come in and fix his sloppy workmanship. We learned our lesson, and Kathy will be our only painter from now on! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Initially I received Kathy's voicemail. Kathy called back within 30 minutes. I told her about the job, and we set up an estimate. She came to the house at a mutually agreed upon time. She sent an estimate the next day. We decided to hire her for the job. She began the job three weeks later. Kathy was here when she said she would be. In fact, she called the day before she was scheduled, to confirm that she would be coming the next day. The job was completed in two days. There was a mix up regarding the colors (not Kathy's error). When I called about it, Kathy came the next day to fix it. I would HIGHLY recommend Kathy for your painting job, and I would definitely call her again.

Kathy just completed a week's long paint & staining job at my home. I've used many other Painters over the years and I have never had a painter as good as Kathy. She was polite, courteous, and most of all a excellent Painter. She didn't make a mess like some other Painters and was very fair with her pricing. She does book out kinda far but trust me she's worth the wait. That also speaks to her quality. If you have animals she is a animal lover and she watched over my cats as if they were her own. I'm sure Bella is going to miss her. Thank you very much Kathy and I can't wait till I need to have something painted again.

Ready For A Change was fantastic! Kathy came in the office to meet with me to review color choices, and what work had to be done in order to repair the walls, which is wallpapered and painted over. She was flexible to work evenings or weekends as the work had to be done after office hours. She did a perfect job repairing the walls and painting the office with total QUALITY.
