Overhead light in kitchen out. Replaced bulb and worked for a day or so, then out again. Opened light fixture and attempted rewiring socket...disaster!! Unable to finish tiling in kitchen until light repaired, over two years now!! Finally call Lon Lockwood Electric and technician Chris determined after repairing wiring mistakes that original problem was actually the switch in wall and nothing was wrong with the overhead light. I still have holes in the ceiling where tried to route the wire; now I need a drywall guy. Thanks Chris, your the best.

i bought the special deal on angie's list . I needed a light fixture hung and some small fixes in other areas. After hanging the light the tech was more interested in surveying the house for more work.after his survey he sat and sales pitched me for 20 minutes.he also failed to mention that I would need a different dimmer switch for the light to work properly. Also he tried to fix my outside light but failed to mention the switch is now connected to my garage door opener.so turning the light off means my door won't work.

I contacted the company and they were able to set up a time very quickly for someone to come to our house. Once here, Chris was very professional and took care of all of the jobs we had for him to do. He even stayed longer than he had intended as we had more jobs for him to do that day. Overall Chris was here for about 4 hours and did an excellent job.

We declined to use Lon Lockwood because they wouldn't come out to do the repairs without charging a $60 travel fee.

Lon is very helpful, polite and knowledgeable in his work. He charges by the job -- he has an extensive "menu" of jobs and their costs - rather than by the hour, which can end up being a lot higher than originally anticipated. Lon was prompt, left the place very clean, and left me feeling a lot more confident about our overall electrical situation.

I called the company and they were able to provide an electrician the next day. Phil was the electrician and he actually arrived early. He was polite and wore shoe coverings the whole time he was here. We originally asked him to run the wires for an outlet for our electric dryer but then found several other electrical problems with our new home. He had no problem doing the other things we asked of him and still finished within a few hours.

He came in and diagnosed a problem we had with a GFI tripping constantly. To solve the problem, he changed all of the outlets on the circuit (which had a single GFI in the basement) to each outlet being a GFI outlet itself. This solved the problem and everything has been working fine since. $50 per outlet seemed a bit high, but he was there, did the work quickly, and we haven't had any further problems. Would use again for quality, but might get at least one other estimate to make sure the price is reasonable.

This was a positive experience, especially since 2 other electricians I called previously never bothered to show up!

Quick response to initial phone call. Diagnosed the problem quickly but took almost an hour to find and purchase the standard porcelain sock (even though a major electric parts wholesaler is just 2 miles away and a Home Depot 4 miles). Installation of the socket was 10 minutes at the most.

Lon Lockwood Electric was very knowledgeable and nice. They did a very good job with the repairs. I would recommend them to friends and family members.
