Outstanding. The entire process was seamless. I have worked with Crossfield for a number of years for the routine maintenance of my Furnace/Air Conditioning units. Their level of service has always been outstanding. During my yearly inspection the technician discovered cracks in the heat exchanger of my existing York unit. He clearly explained all the ramifications of this issue and even checked to see if the system was still under warranty. We discussed the estimated cost of the repairs vs replacing the unit. Based on my discussions with this very knowledgable technician (Andrew), I decided to have the unit replaced. Andrew immediately called the office and arranged to have a sales person visit me to get an estimate. Corey arrived promptly for our appointment and began his inspection of the furnace and house to determine our needs. He took thourough measurements of the unit and space, expected the outside of the house, and looked at several other parameters to determine the best product/solution for the home. Based on his inspection he offered 2 solutions and his recommendation of the one he felt would be best. (They offer a number of manufacturers, but usually like to work with Trane and Amana.) Based on our needs he recommended the Amana unit because it would require less infrastructure change and therefore cost less to install. The entire focus of his visit was on our needs and what solution would work best for our individual solution. Along the way he also took the time to educate me about the ins and outs of heating and cooling our house. Based on our discussion(not a sales pitch), I opted for the Amana unit. ( Based on his inspection of the home he actually calculated that our current unit was undersized in terms of BTUs.) I felt that the price quoted was very reasonable. (Repairs to the old unit would have run anywhere from $800-and 1800.00 as opposed to $3600.00 for a brand new/more efficient unit.) He also took the time to explain all the rebates and tax credits that I would get by installing a new high efficiency unit. ($618 rebate from RGE, $200 tax credit. I met with Corey on 10/8 and asked that the unit be installed on 10/11. The installers showed up promptly on 10/11 and began their work. I cannot stress enough how professional, knowledgeable, and conscientious they were. I was informed of every step in the process. When they discovered that they would have to run a new wire for the new Thermostat and that it would require punching several holes in the basement ceiling they came up with another more feasible solution. (Part of the basement ceiling is finished with drywall.) They immediately settled on a wireless Thermostat unit that would require no additional holes in the drywall. The installation went very smoothly and they did not leave until they were sure I was satisfied/educated about the new unit/thermostat. They went over the new unit and thermostat to make sure i would be comfortable in operating both. They also gave me several tips about heating/cooling the house that would add to my energy savings. The entire process was seamless and very professional. I would highly recommend Crossfield and its employees.

I had three estimates done and theirs was by far the most thorough and complete. Installer arrived day of installation on time and explain everything he did as he went along. By mid-day second installer arrived to help out, since it was a big job. By 4 pm they were finish. The tech explain how the unit work and instructed me on the new thermostat. Crossfield exceeded my expectations and I will be using them again in the future.

Outstanding job! He was very informative and kept me updated throughout his inspection/cleaning. I learned several things about the workings of my units as well as maintenance tips. Nice guy and professional. I purchased the yearly maintenance program, which covered his visit here.

In Oct 2012 I had Crossfield install a new Trane furnace in my home. Of the 3 vendors providing price estimates they were by far the most knowable and had the best competive price. In addition their price included 5-year free labor coverage which I wanted and they were still price competitive with other suppliers. They did a great job. I did not submit a review for Angie's list at that time because I was not aware that non-members could submit reviews. On 6/11/2013 I had Crossfield install a new 2-Ton Trane AC unit. Again there price was competitive and they did a great job. The service people arrived on time and the job took about 5 hours as they predicted. They cleaned up after the job was completed and explained the equipment operation in detail. Both the sales person Jordan and the installed Buddy were very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

They showed up at 5 Minutes before 8 AM and I had four men and four trucks here until 3:00PM, but They got everything done in 1 day, and all was installed neatly and professionally. All debris were removed and the work areas cleaned before they left. I, and more importantly, My wife are very satisfied with both the equipment we chose, and with the Crossfield installation team.

The salesman, Corey, explained everything, scheduled an installation date and told us exactly what to expect. On the install date, three men arrived precisely on time and explained that there plan was to have the installation completed by 3:30pm. The installers were very professional; they .introduced themselves and explained what part of the job each was the specialist for. They laid down drop clothes through the house to the basement stairs to protect carpet and floors. They immediately started at their work. and proceeded like a well-oiled machine. (Harry removed the old furnace and part of the plenum while Adam and Jason installed and leveled the new base for the outdoor A/C compressor. After the compressor unit was in place, Jason began running the electrical line to that unit from the circuit breaker box while Adam began installing the new wiring for the thermostat. Meanwhile, Harry installed the new furnace and cooling coil, and Jason connected the tubing from the outdoor compressor to the cooling coil and charged the system with the freon. At this time, Adam explained the basics of programming and using the new thermostat, and then proceeded to another job location to assist another installation team, while Harry and Jason finished the install). When the job was complete, Harry and Jason walked with me as we viewed every element of the job. They explained how the new system would work, what we should expect from the system, completed the "RGand E rebate form", and finished by explaining completely how to use the thermostat to control the system. They then left at 3:35pm (and I must admit that they left the basement a little cleaner than it was when they started!) I highly recommended the Crossfield team!

I contracted for the removal of the existing furnace, air conditioner and water heater, replacing these unit with higher efficiency, more modern units. An installation team from Crossfield (up to 5 at any given time) were very knowledgeable and professional. A couple began with the hot water heater, while another began replacing the outside condenser, and the rest worked on replacing the furnace and installing a humidifier and UV air treatment system. They functioned well as a team, and when they finished and turned everything on, I was impressed. The air conditioner, being a 2-stage unit was quieter than expected. Even the neighbor commented on how quiet it was. The furnace, also a 2-stage unit with a variable speed blower, was noticeably quieter. I had a quick lesson on the thermostat operation, which being automatic, heats to 69 degrees and begins cooling at 72 degrees. Humidity is set between 35% and 40%, and the variable fan runs constantly, circulating and cleaning the air. As far as comfort in the house, I'm impressed. Temperature remains within the range set. I've been running this way over 1 month now. The next part of the evaluation will take about a year, as I monitor my gas and electric usage. But, having changed out an 80,000 BTU 70% efficient furnace for a 60,000 BTU 97% efficient unit, upgrading the A/C from a 9 seer to an 18 seer, both being multi-stage units, I'm anticipating a considerable reduction in my gas and electric usage. Yes, it was more expensive than I thought it would be, but at this time I have no regrets! By the way, the new hot water tank is a Bradford White, and the HVAC is Trane.

I contacted several Heating and Air Conditioning establishments for estimates on having air conditioning installed in my house. I had pretty much decided to go with Crossfield as their bid was competitive with the rest. When I called on May 3rd for more information their salesman (Jordan ?) promised that he would get back to me with the information I requested either on Saturday May 4th or first thing Monday May 6th. I am still waiting for his call and today is May 14th. I have decided to go with another contractor if this is the way they are going to treat potential customers.

I had been considering installing central air conditioning in my home for a while but was reluctant to do so because of the split tri-level design. I was afraid the 3rd level – the master bedroom - would never get comfortably cool without freezing the rest of the house and/or requiring an oversize central air system. I had 5 different heating/ac companies provide me with possible solutions and quotes. I was not convinced any of the recommendations were adequate solutions and was almost ready to put it all off for another year. I scheduled one last appointment with Crossfield Heating and AC. Cory arrived promptly at the scheduled time, and without going directly into a sales pitch, listened to my concerns. He asked the appropriate questions, took measurements and then presented some options. He said he would get back to me with detailed options and pricing. As promised, I received 6 different options and pricing in a few days. The recommendation was to install the appropriate size central ac system for the first 2 levels and a ductless ac only unit for the upper level. This way it would not be necessary to use the central ac if cooling was only required in the upper level. I had received quotes for both central ac and ductless ac (but never in combination) from other companies. The Crossfield package pricing was the best I received for each system. I chose what I felt was the best solution and scheduled the installation. On the day of the installation, the equipment was delivered by 8:00 and the installers arrived by 8:30. I was surprised to see 3 installers ready to go to work. Before starting they explained the installation process and asked if I had any preferences or questions. Then they started to work. Drop cloths were placed wherever they were working inside, booties were always worn inside and the work areas were kept clean. The installation of both systems was done in about 5 – 5 ½ hours. Another hour was spent fine tuning the system with the high-efficiency furnace circulating fan, inspecting the installation and explaining operation and recommended maintenance of both systems. All work areas were rechecked for cleanliness and all disposable items removed before they departed. This team was hard working, professional, competent, and courteous. I’m not terribly easy to please, but my experience with Crossfield was exceptional from start to finish. And I’m confident they will back-up their workmanship and product warranties if required in the future. I would highly recommend contacting Crossfield if you are considering a new or replacement AC system (probably heating systems, too).

The quotation was extremely thorough. I had quotations from 7 companies and chose Crossfield. The installation process was exactly as described. The professionalism of all involved was phenomenal. Their supervisor as well as the sales person stopped by as well. GREAT JOB!!

Our furnace wasn't working on one of the coldest days of the year. We called that morning and the company was very responsive and actually came sooner than the estimated time we were given. We were thrilled that they were able to fix the problem that day, on the spot. It ended up being a minor repair. We thought the price was a little expensive for what we needed fixed. In all fairness though, we had no other estimates to compare it to because we NEEDED to fix our heater that day. We would call them again in the future.

I called Crossfield Heating to arraign for an estimate on a new gas furnace to replace the 21-year-old system we had. The Sales Consultant Jordan arrived at a designated time. He proceeded to throughly check, take pictures and measure the old system. He then sat down with me and discussed our options regarding a new furnace. I didn't act on actually having the furnace installed until months later but I chose Crossfield over two other heating companies. The prices were all within $100 of each other but Crossfield had the best system and presentation. I called them and agreed on a Tuesday installation at 8:00 AM. The Installation Tech, Ryan, arrived promptly at the time agreed upon. He proceeded to disconnect the old furnace from the duct system. Once the old furnace was disconnected, the Sales Consultant Jordan dropped by and helped Ryan carry old furnace to the outside. A short time later a van arrived and removed the old furnace. By late morning, the company Crossfield hired to install the chimney liner arrived and quickly installed the liner in a matter of 20-30 minutes. Ryan then proceeded to hook up the new furnace. From arrival to departure the whole process took about 6.5 hours. The basement was as clean (if not cleaner) after they left as it was before they arrived. Both Jordan and Ryan were professional and knowledgable. I would definitely call Crossfield again for any heating work needed.

We had done a lot of research and once the work was done we were very happy with them. We had referred them to one of our colleagues and they informed us that they were very happy with the services provided by them too. They were in the building and we didn't even know they were here. They were very efficient. We had an old water heater in the basement and they carried that out for us at no extra charges. They took it with them with the old heating equipment at no extra charges.

Though we received a cheaper quote from another company, they seemed to be the most knowledgable about the product and service they were providing. I also liked the warranty service they offered to us. They were always prompt and courteous whenever we dealt with them. Would highly recommend their service to others.

They got the air conditioning unit working for us and checked everything.

Crossfield completely removed our old heating and air equipment and installed new equipment from Everrest. They did this with minimal disruption to our daily routine and in only one day start to finish. We couldn't be happier, they were professional all the way and the install is first class. I am very picky and am completely happy with their work. I definitely recommend Crossfield and will use them in the future for all my HVAC needs.

They are a great company. They are on time and they are always here when they say they will be. They are clean and very respectful of our property. I can't say enough about them. Their prices are average; they are not above or below. I will absolutely continue using them.

Crossfield was very responsive and professional throughout the entire engagement. The primary contact was Bart DiProspero. We contacted Crossfield for a routine service call on a 25+ year old system. On his first vist, Bart took a quick look at the existing system and told us that it should be replaced - which wasn't a real surprise, given how old it was. He explained why he made that recommendation, including reliability, comfort, energy efficiency, tax rebates and a current promotion that Crossfield was running. He answered all of our questions fully and clearly. He explained the NYS energy audit program, the RGand E rebate and made the follow up appointments necessary to get everything done. After listening to the issues we had with the old system (hot and cold areas) and completing a thorough load analysis, he recommended the specific equipment. Again, he explained his recommendations cleary. He explained the options that were available and why he would or would not recommend each of them. As a result, I think we ended up with the right system for what we needed and avoided extra cost options that we really do not need. We had 4 separate teams in for the 4 parts of the job. Bart coordinated each visit and showed up each time to make sure everything went as scheduled. Each group was on time for each appointment, did their work quickly and as far as I can tell did it well, and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Bart took care of the paperwork required to qualify for the RGand E rebate, and came back for a final visit to fine tune the air flow in each room. The final cost was as quoted and the system seems to be working well.
