Was charged a service call, plus another charge on top of that for doing a technical evaluation using their equipment

We have been very pleased with them. They are really good. We haven't needed them, but if we needed them, they ensured us that they would be right out to help us if we had trouble. They are very professional in their service, and their fees are reasonable.

My experience with Crossfield was outstanding from meeting with the salesman through installation. The salesman was professional and thorough. He evaluated the size of my furnace, air conditioning and hot water heater by measuring my house size and calculating the necessary equipment. He provided me with several alternatives. He promptly provided a written quote. Upon acceptance of the quote (which was significantly cheaper than a major competitor), installation was scheduled promptly. Four courteous and competent technicians showed up on time in the morning at 9:00 Am for installation. They worked diligently completing the whole installation by mid-afternoon. They engaged me to explain the functioning of the furnace, air conditioning and hot water tank. They reviewed how to control the thermostat and patiently answered all my questions. They cleaned up after themselves and left my home in good condition. Since, installation, the equipment has performed flawlessly.

The whole process couldn't have been any easier. I contacted Crossfield via the internet and received a response by phone within a few hours to set up a visit. (I also contacted 2 other companies the same way and set up an appointment with each of them on 7/22 and 7/23; Crossfield's appointment was on 7/25. Crossfield's Mark Stevens visited my home to determine my needs on July 25. Mark is very good at what he does and that is apparent after being with him for 5 minutes. He is super thorough and makes certain that 1) he has taken into consideration everything about your house and 2) that you completely understand everything. (Being that he was my 3rd heating/ac rep that week I was able to compare a lot; that's why I chose Crossfield.) With three estimates in hand I contacted him to set up an installation date of August 6th. On Monday August 4th I called the Crossfield office to confirm my install date. I was told "yes, you're all set, the installers will be at your home between 8:15 and 8:30 am" and they showed up at 8:20 am. After giving them a brief tour (access points to the walkout basement, pool fence gate instructions, thermostat location, electrical panel box and bathroom location) they got right to work. I was impressed with how well Kevin and Adam coordinated the install. They were always working! The few times I went downstairs to check their progress my "how's it going" was always answered with a "going good." While Adam was finishing up outside Ryan got me familiar with the Wi-Fi compatible thermostat. That involved going on line to set up an account (no charge to the customer) and then learning how to set, program and monitor the thermostat. (If you have a smart phone you're gonna love this thing because you can monitor as well as set/adjust the internal temperature of your home.) Ryan and Adam left my house at 4pm, and other than seeing a new furnace inside and the ac fan outside I would have not known they had been there. They left my home and yard in the same condition as it was before they arrived; I had absolutely no post visit clean up to do!!! Lastly, and probably most importantly, the "connect" between my sales rep (Mark Stevens) and the installers (Ryan and Adam) was 100% right on!!! What he said they would do when he was giving me the estimate they did. Not once did I hear from the installers "well, we can't do that" or "that's gonna be a problem" or "yeah, the sales rep isn't up to speed on this or that." No, they did the install to perfection!!!

When I called the office I was told it wouldn't be possible to come to the house for 2 days, and we scheduled for 12-4 on that date. I was told the technician would call before coming. The day of the schedule appointment they called to say the tech was nearby and could he be sent immediately. I was thrilled with the change of plans! The technician was neat in appearance and very mindful of entering the house. He used his protective foot coverings when ever he had to come inside. Prompt, personable and respectful. I was so pleased with the work I signed a service agreement before he left. I will be recommending the company to friends and family,

The A/C system from Trane is the wall mounted ductless system. Installers were very careful inside the house and made every effort to install the system so that it is not overwhelming the room. Installers explained how the system worked and tested it. From sales to installation it went very well. We thought we had a problem and a technician came out immediately to show us that it was all ok.

Crossfield did an excellent job from start to finish. The sales process was great, our salesperson showed up on time each visit, was extremely knowledgeable, and was very responsive, even considering that this is a very busy time of year for them. The installers were friendly, neat, and professional. They made every effort to do things properly and discussed various options with us along the way. We were amazed that at times there were 4 and maybe even 5 Crossfield vans outside of our house as various helpers came to assist the core crew of 3 installers. We were amazed to see that the job was completed within about 8 hours, including time spent with us reviewing operation of the system and basic system maintenance. Price-wise the system was very competitive with one that was quoted by another reputable local HVAC shop (actually a little bit lower), though it was the sales process with Crossfield compared with that other dealer that gave us the confidence to choose them.

They came and fix the problem and did a good job. We were satisfied with them. They charged a lot for the fuse was I did not like. We will be using them again in the future.

Crossfield worked as a team and did a fantastic job. The whole installation was completed in 1 day and as smoothly as possible. The reason I chose them was they had THE BEST price, great products, outstanding warranty and a strong recommendation from a friend of mine. Mark Stevens (our sales person) was very knowledgeable and gave me a great education on what would be best for my home and why. There were great government rebates at the time of our install, and Mark knew exactly what would apply and how to get the monies. The system has been operating flawlessly for 4 years now. I ALWAYS recommend Crossfield to anyone who would need any heating or air conditioning work.

The zone valves started to fail on our 50 year old boiler system and we decided to replace the entire boiler as parts were no longer available. I had four companies come in and give me quotes including Isaac, Hawn, Betlem, and Crossfield. The sales person, Jordon, was thorough and informative. He gave me a few options and was upfront with the pro's and con's of each system. Their price was middle of the road in cost with Isaac being the highest and Hawn the lowest. They were, however, the only vendor that offered a cast iron boiler that was over 90% efficiency rated which qualified us for additional discounts from RGand E. The installation date was set less than a week after initial appointment and the crews showed up early in the morning right on time. Installation was done in the course of one day. The crew removed the old boiler, installed new exhaust piping and zone valves. The work they did was clean and well thought out. The job site was cleaned up before they left. I've had them back twice since the initial installation to deal with a couple of issues. I expected that any installation like this would have it's quirks and this was handled in great fashion by Crossfield. The first time they came and adjusted the J-hanger for the exhaust pipe as it was making noise when expanding and contracting from the exhaust heat. I called them and they came the next morning and replaced the j-hook to fix. The second time I mentioned on their follow up survey that the variable speed motor they installed was somewhat noisy. It would alternate between a low hum and a high pitched whine. You couldn't notice it unless the house was quiet but it was kind of annoying, Crossfield called me and came out to check it out. They offered to replace the pump with a different model free of charge. They ordered the pump and had it replaced within a week. The new pump is extremely quite and I couldn't be happier. Great Service after the sale. I will be a customer for life.

Crossfield came in and did a seemingly thorough job assessing my old 1902 home. I was told my home was the perfect candidate for energy improvements due to the old furnace, drafty windows, no exterior wall insulation, etc. I was presented a very professional packet of info, specific to my house and based on several measurements they did in my house and on my appliances that recommended: blown in insulation in the exterior walls, upgraded furnace, water heater, and sealing my rim joists in the basement. Even though the cost was on the order of $15,000, through special NYS financing and rebates, my monthly payment would only be $100 dollars for 14 or so years. In fact, my average monthly energy savings alone would be more than my financed monthly payment, and doing these upgrades would actually net me 14-cents a month. This sounded too good to be true, but they assured me these were even conservative estimates and I'd actually save more. This was crap. This year we had one of the longest, coldest winters in quite some time, and the TOTAL amount of my energy costs (just water heater and furnace) did not even cost as much as they said I would save. How could my yearly savings, as advertised by them be true if my total out-of-pocket expenses did not even surpass that!?! I am glad I told them I did not want to proceed until after I got my heating bills for the year and compared with their numbers, because otherwise I would have lost nearly $15000 on unnecessary upgrades that would never pay for themselves in my lifetime. All in all, I was very disappointed with this experience, and feel bad for the probably tens, if not hundreds of people who have fallen for this scam. I caution anyone considering home energy improvements from Crossfield, or any home improvement provider, to do your own research, critically examine anything you're told, and trust your instincts and run the numbers yourself..

The techs are always nice, clean and timely. We have used Crossfield for about 6 years and will continue to do so. At some point we will need a new HVAC and we'll probably use them for that as well.

They were very prompt. They were just very good when they were here. They put stuff on their shoes so that they didn't track dirt.

We were very satisfied. I like the fact that they responded to calls very quickly. They were very neat about the work that they did. They seemed knowledgeable. They responded even late at night. I think the price was reasonable under the circumstances.

The first thing that impressed me, was the initial contact. The salesman was knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. He took all my info, room measurements etc. and said he would get back to me in two days with detailed estimates. Like clockwork, he stopped by with the estimates. Included were estimates for two different brands and possible locations for the units. He took the time to explain in complete detail, how exactly the ductless split heat pump system worked, the pros and cons of each brand, and made sure I fully understood the placement suggestions he came up with. This also included where the lines would run on the outside of the house, as well as the placement of the outside unit. ( I also received estimates from four other companies. Three never even bothered to get back to me with final prices.) We both agreed I should take some time to consider the different options and prices. I did contact him a few times over the next several days with questions, and again, he made sure before we ended our call, that my questions were not only answered thoroughly, but that I comprehended the information that was given to me. Once I had made my decision to go with Crossfield, he stopped over to sign the contract, and to completely go over the installation process once again. Before the installation date was even set, I was pretty confident I knew what to expect. The installers arrived promptly on the morning scheduled, and again, they went over the installation to be sure we were on the exact same page as far as placement of the units. This was the professionalism I was looking for! The installation went off without a hitch. It took two days to complete, and they kept me informed the whole time as to what to expect next. Once the installation was complete, it was tested for pressure and leaks. Within minutes the house was getting cool. What a relief! I honestly can't say enough about the job done by Crossfield Heating and Air Conditioning. This was a pretty pricey investment, but by the time the installation began, I was very comfortable with the decision I made. The installers were first rate. It was plainly obvious they were not only very skilled at their craft, but they seemed like they genuinely enjoy what they do. Chalk up another feather for putting my mind at ease.

The serviceman was on time, professional and competent.

The new furnace and air conditioning was installed in the first week of December. As Mark had promised, the crew arrived at my house a little before 8:30 am - 3 of them. A 4th came a little later for a couple of hours. Mark, my salesman stopped by to see how the job was progressing and asked if I had any concerns. I had none. The job was finished around 4 pm. The installer set up the Internet thermostat and explained how it worked. Crossfield did everything that Mark had promised without exception. My house is more comfortable that it ever has been including a much closer temperature between the floors of my cape cod. I can't tell any utility cost difference yet, my last RG and E bill was based off of estimated readings. If you want a company that will delivers fair price and completes a job as promised, I recommend that you consider hiring this one.

Repaired furnace ignition issue and performed annual service for the first time.

Furnace stopped working overnight. I called in the morning, and they came within two hours. They quickly determined the transformer was blown. It's an unusual part to need replaced, so they made several calls until they found one in Buffalo. They managed to have it delivered the next day, and came over when it arrived even though it was late afternoon and it meant working into the evening. I was very pleased with their knowledge, professionalism, and responsiveness. They were very knowledgeable about TRANE equipment (they had originally installed the system, for the previous homeowner). I ended up signing up for a maintenance plan, which was another $400. Since we have two heating units and two cooling units, the plan was about the same as the cost of annual servicing for the four units, but also includes free diagnostic calls and discounts on service. They gave me the discount on this service even though I wasn't already on the plan.

Their technicians always did an excellent job. Answered all my questions and were very polite. My overall experience with them was excellent.
