I had a new door installed last year and that contractor (not on Angie's list) totally botched the job. You could drive a truck between the gaps they were so big. I needed a fixer and Anton came to the rescue. He called me right away and showed up right on time. He quickly assessed the problem and suggested a few fixes. With the OK, he quickly went to work. Within a few hours he was done and the door was fixed. Thank you Anton ;-)

Anton, who owns European Craftsman and Remodeling and goes by "Tony," is honest, competent, careful, and pleasant. He is unusual in that he showed unusual care about doing the job correctly and and addressing our concerns and needs. He and his assistant worked diligently and didn't leave any paint messes. Tony had to postpone the scheduled start on our job by a day or so, but he notified me in advance and completed the work on schedule. We added some repair work to doors and windows and he was excellent in making those repairs. I have been cheered up by the quality of the work he did and by the realization that there are still such helpful contractors in the world. I will call Tony anytime I have painting to be done in the future.

I needed the northern side of my house painted before I had a standing seem roof put on. It was late in the season, and Anton responded immediately and was on the job within a week. He scraped the old paint and prepared the side to be painted very thoroughly and professionally. Much more extensively than other painters I have dealt with! He then applied an oil based primer before applying my latex paint (which says it has primer in it, but not nearly to the standard that Anton provided). He was very aware of aethestics, and consulted with me on all concerns. He also went above and beyond the scope of work to provide extra touches and services (it helps he's an excellent carpenter!). I would highly recommend Anton for any painting work, exterior or interior. He is professional, polite, clean (no messes to clean up afterwards, as with other contractors), and does what he says he will. It makes for a huge change from other painters and a huge relief that your work will be done well, right and in a timely manner! You'll be happy with his work.

A challenge most homeowners face at one time or another: finding a qualified painter they can trust to do a great job and to not rip them off. After searching high and low I thought I had found that painter. Problem was that he was booked for the rest of the season. However, he recommended another painter and gave him the highest compliment: ? This is the only painter I would ever trust to paint my house.? This painter is Anton Ljuljdjuraj the owner of European Craftsman and Remodeling. So I hired Anton last year to paint the exterior of my house. Please keep in mind, I am not your typical homeowner. My background is graphic design, worked many years in the competitive advertising industry in New York City where I was paid for having a meticulous eye. I had a small side business where I was a color consultant for residential apartments. On top of that I had taken classes at the New York School of interior design where I heard talks Benjamin Moore and had an inspiration color professor. Anton had no idea what he was in for. But he put up with me being my usual fastidious self. He put up with me changing one of the colors because it wasn?t the 100% right shade of green. Anton never copped and attitude. He persevered with the same level of professionalism as when he began the job. Since then, I have hired Anton to do interior painting as well as carpentry work. Once again he did an outstanding job and my interior never looked better. My father ? rand remember an apple doesn?t fall far from a tree ? has hired Anton for exterior painting and making an outdoor metal staircase railing. I feel lucky that Anton will continue to work with me now that he knows I have a such critical eye for detail as he is the only painter I would ever trust to paint MY house. You will be lucky if he can squeeze in.

Anton, the owner of European Craftsman and Remodeling, and his crew did an outstanding job. They always showed up when promised and the work was completed by the agreed upon deadline. Anton adjusted his work hours and crew size as needed to make it happen. I was very impressed by the high work ethics as well as the quality of work including very thorough prep work. Whether on lump sum contract, or on a time and material basis Anton and his crew worked diligently and efficiently using the right equipment and high quality materials. Cleanup, both daily and upon job completion was performed to my complete satisfaction. As an added plus, Anton has a great sense of humor and is a pleasure to work with. Anton takes great interest and pride in the work he and his crew are doing. He offered some great suggestions for details that proved to enhance the architectural details of the front entryway. He showed great patience in painting sample areas for final color sections, including customized blending to match a prior color. I will definitely work with European Crafman and Remodeling in the future. In fact, I have engaged Anton to build a custom designed metal railing and post system leading from my entryway along stone steps and walls to the parking area.

Tony is the rare contractor who truly cares about form and function. He pays attention to every detail. He built new column bases in his shop that are indistinguishable from the originals and the railings are probably straighter now than they've been for fifty years! The mahogany floor is a thing of beauty: It looks gorgeous and we know it is built to last. Our job was not without some tricky issues, which he dealt with speedily and expertly, explaining what he found and how to fix it. He discovered rotted wood in the fascia and soffit surrounding the porch roof, as well as in the framing joists where they had been touching the floor on top (they looked decent from underneath), requiring more labor and materials than he'd originally estimated. But he and his crew, who are really nice and pleasant guys, just pushed through to get it done. And the final price was not so far off his estimate. Weather and electrical work halted things for a few days, but Tony returned over the weekend to finish painting the columns/railings/woodwork and sanding and staining the floor. We love our new/old porch and we'll definitely hire Tony again for our next project.

I called Anton to clean and stain my deck and sent him photos of the deck and dimensions on a Friday. He indicated that he was in the process of another job but would squeeze me in. The next day (Sat.) he power washed and cleaned the deck and vinyl siding on the gables. On Mon. or Tues. after that he arrived with his helper and they painted the deck and the windows. I was really impressed with Anton's work ethic and the quality of his work and the speed with which he responded to my call. He was also very good at asking my opinion on everything and explaining what my options were. I then asked him to order and install the basement door when he had a chance. He came back on a Sat. a few weeks later and installed the door and did the additional painting. The installation was not standard as we were replacing a 70 year old door on a stone house, but he made it work and it looks and works great. Anton is a very personable fellow who is very conscientious, detail oriented and takes pride in his work. He has multiple skills and performs many different tasks successfully. I'm very grateful that I found Anton!

Anton's attention to the asthetic details ensured that the project turned out picture perfect! I am a tough customer and I challenged him any time he pointed out something to consider--as it turns out he was right about it all! He and his crew worked tirelessly to complete the project on time putting in long days so that changes we made and enhancements we agreed upon wouldn't mean missing the deadline date. He is truly a craftsman, putting great care into the final outcome so the result is something he can be proud to put his name on! As the homeowner I couldn't be more pleased when I drive up and see the transformation! He stayed in touch keeping me informed of the days and the time he would be onsite working. He did a fine job of tidying up every evening so my new puppy and I didn't stumble over construction materials. On the final day Anton and the crew not only cleaned up the work area, they even placed the curtains back on the doors they had refinished on the final day! I would highly recommend his work and would be happy to provide a reference for anyone considering using this company.
