Excellent service. Person came on time, was professional and cleaned up after job was finished.

Estimate was spot on. They were punctual for both the estimate and work. Everyone I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable. The work was completed satisfactorily with no problems whatsoever. I would use them again for certain.

We had to replace a toilet and some leaking pipes that had been built into the house in a tight and awkward spot. We couldn't heat one pipe without heating the other or risking setting the joists on fire. It was 11:30 pm, the water had been off for hours and everyone was tired, in need of a shower and really at a loss. The Boyfriend said we needed to call someone, i picked Petcosky and Sons off Angie's List because of their rating and proximity... the answering service picked up immediately, got my information and we got a call from a technician - John i believe? - shortly. Even in the middle of the night he came out as promptly as he could, got right to work, was competent, efficient and polite. His rates were very reasonable - especially for the hour. So far, no leaks, drips or problems. We're very pleased and would call again...tho hopefully not at such a ridiculous hour.

I was able to get an appointment the same day, I was quoted a price over the phone that was exactly what was charged, regardless of the time and labor involved. Plumber did a nice job.

Making the appointment was fairly easy and the woman on the phone seemed thorough and helpful. They have a showroom where you can purchase a toilet directly from them that I didn't know about, but I'm not sure how their pricing compares to places like Home Depot where we purchased our toilet. They told us the rate would be $95 an hour to install a toilet that wasn't purchased from them and asked me if I had checked that the rough in of the new toilet would fit in the space and if the old toilet was one or two piece (because it affected how many plumbers would need to come). The plumber arrived within the time frame given and introduced himself and I took him up to the bathroom. He got to work right away removing the old toilet. He eventually asked me what I wanted to do with the old toilet and being new to the area I asked his advice because we weren't sure how to handle it in this area. He seemed surprised and told me the person who made the appointment should have told me that they would remove the toilet for a fee of $25. I told him we'd pay it then as it'd be easier than figuring out where to get rid of the toilet ourselves or having a toilet sitting on our curb for weeks (we're still getting used to the area and had a christmas tree that was just never picked up because we missed the specific day). He got back to work and removed the old toilet and installed the new one with no hiccups and in a professional efficient manner. Once the work was done he let down his guard while I checked the bill a bit and pet our shih tzu puppy and talked dogs for a bit. I appreciated him doing this while he was "off the clock" and thought that it was nice. He also mentioned that because they never mentioned the fee to me on the phone that he was waiving the toilet removal fee. All in all very nice and professional experience. The only problem was I had wanted an estimate on some more work we need done and the man they sent said he was unable to that and we needed his manager to give estimates because he controlled the pricing. I'll have to chalk that up to me being a first year home owner and just not knowing how these things work. We will be going back to Petcosky & Sons for our future work.

I had a very positive experience with them. The person that came was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He came and took a look at the furnace and sorted it right away. While he was doing the job he realized that there were other problems and asked me if I wanted them to be solved the same day. I asked him to repair the other problems as well, and he took care of it very promptly. I was quite happy with the results.

Petcosky & Sons have done quite a bit of work on my new (old, 1936) house, in five or six visits from October through December, 2009. All went well: they come out for a free estimate, schedule the work, turn up promptly when scheduled, are neat, communicate well about the job, etc. Likely not the cheapest, but the work is reliable (all the leaks from the old plumbing have stayed fixed, and both the water heater and gas wall heater function great). They sent flowers as a housewarming token when I moved in.

Started on time, job completed on time, cleaned up, no surprises, no cost or time overruns. Came back same day called for minor problem and fixed it - at no cost. Excellent experience. Have also used them for water heater replacement in rental unit. Done fast, not cheap but worth the money.

Showed up on time. Professional, courteous. Gave explanation of product & warranty. Offered to lock up fence gate when leaving, but left back door of garage wide open & I have house cats. That was the only problem with this service.

When we called P&S I was very nervous about having a broken furnace at the tail end of winter. Fortunately, P&S sent someone immediately and they honestly explained what was broken on the furnace (a little piece of plastic). By the next day, they called us up and told us that they could replace the part for about $400, or they could replace the furnace. We decided to replace the furnace since it was 20 years old, and we were informed that we would be entitled to a tax credit for getting a high-efficiency Carrier brand. P&S quickly moved to replace the old furnace. They were informative, courteous, and efficient. Their experience shined through, and I'll gladly call them again when it's time to replace my 12+ year old water heater.

Took longer than expected but the price was exactly as quoted. Petcosky was able to make an appointment on very short notice and did a good job.

The manager came over and gave us an estimate. From there, he laid out the options available to us. Petcosky was the most expensive estimate, but they are highly recommended in Broome County. They also use energy efficent devices which save money over the long run. The guys came to do the work and they were independent. I was in the house, but they did their work and were respectful to the house. The guys were friendly and they didn't talk over our heads. The work was completed and we have not had a problem.
