Description of Work: despite problems beyond their control which delayed the projected start date, the services were performed expertly. We are extremely satisfied with the results. Yes I would recommend them and will use them for our next project.

Description of Work: We own a 200 yr.old farmhouse w/horsehair plaster and lath, inadequate electric and venting, nothing square. K-R did a complete gut of 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, 1 kitchen. Ran electric and installed outlets, overhead and under cabinet lighting. Cut and installed proper ventilation for bathroom and attic, fans in bath and kitchen. Full insulation, leveled ceilings & walls to be plumb. Hung and taped drywall. Installed all cabinetry/vanity in bath, kitchen & pantry. Did all the plumbing. Prepared floors and installed mosiac tile in bathroom and vinyl in kitchen area. Hung new kitchen exterior door and storm door. Installed tile backsplash above counters in kitchen. Installed new molding around doors/windows/floor. Excellent work and communication with all involved and very punctual. All this work was completed in 9 weeks!

Description of Work: After multiple bad experiences with contractors, we joined Angie's List and contacted Kiefer-Randall based on their good reviews (they replaced a bathroom wall and did some other repairs). We were not sorry; using this company was like a breath of fresh air! They are wonderful to deal with, very conscientious, and do fine work. If you want integrity and quality work done at a fair price, use them!

Description of Work: "We had a little trouble connecting initially, but once the job was evaluated an estimate was generated quickly. We needed to make some adjustments for cost, which was done without delay.Construction was done in a timely fashion, we received daily updates on progress (which moved very quickly despite two weeks of steady rain). |The finished deck is amazing and really adds to our usable yard space. Keifer-Randall was very sensitive to our time constraints (upcoming wedding) and we could not be happier with how the deck turned out!"

Description of Work: Bid on our approximately 600 sq.ft. home addition. Tim was was very responsive, made good suggestions, but it was more money than we wanted to spend considering that we knew that we would exceed the $15000 allowance for finishing and landscaping.

Description of Work: Tim was very resposive, went to great lenghts to understand the project and offered some very good suggestions to contain cost. We were still in the design phase when we had to pull the plug. We plan on revisiting the project in August of 2015 and our first call will be back to Kiefer-Randall.

Description of Work: I worked with Jim Randall and Tim Keifer of Keifer-Randall Construction during Q4 2010 and Q1 2010. I have known Jim for approximately 35 years, and consider him to be one of the most ethical and honest people I've ever met. After having worked with Jim and Tim's company, I feel the same way about Tim. I had a new kitchen countertop (silestone) installed on my island, a laundry room created in my basement, and my basement walls and floors sealed. Jim and Tim delivered very well on what they committed to, and their employee (Ryan) was wonderful to work with. He was always at my house when he said he would be, and demonstrated a significant amount of respect for my belongings as he was working in various areas of my house. I highly recommend Kiefer-Randall Construction for any home remodeling work you need done. They have demonstrated to me that they are capable of taking on a wide variety of tasks, with excellent quality and pricing. Description of Work: We have had numerous jobs performed by Kiefer-Randall. We have been very pleased with their professional workmanship, their positive attitude and the very punctual way that Tim is always available to answer our questions. -We had our front porch re-floored with Trex. -We had flooring installed in a bathroom. -We had a window installed in the garage -We had weather stripping added to our garage door & the garage door adjusted. -We had 2 light fixtures installed. -We had 4 shelves attached to the wall. The amount above was for the work above. -We had our rear deck re-walled & re-screened. -We had our side porch re-floored with Trex & had railings put up with same. -We had all of the Kitchen cabinets lowered-(they were up too high). -We had a picture window installed in the kitchen. -We had pendant lighting installed in our kitchen. -We had flooring installed in our Livingroom & Hallway. -We had a large picture window installed in the Family Room. -We had walls removed to give our home an OPEN feeling. -We had our bathroom remodeling-replacing the tub & shower unit, replacing the toilet, replacing the sink & installing new flooring. -We had roof braces installed after a previous roofer replaced the roof, but did an inadequate job. -We had all of the Vinyl siding taken off & re-applied as it was falling off.

Description of Work: Kiefer-Randall Const. and Remodeling removed a wall that separated my living room from the dining room. They also removed carpet and laminate flooring in order to install new laminate flooring. They removed a half-wall at the top of the stairs and replaced it with a new oak railing. They also removed several electric baseboard heaters that were no longer being used. A header was installed in order to bear the weight of the ceiling where the old wall once was. Kiefer-Randall installed a lot of drywall and finished the drywall. Last, but not least they primed all drywall surfaces with a textured primer that matched the textured walls and ceiling that already existed in our home.
