Description of Work: Installed a new ridge vent. Did not get warning that work was going to begin until materials were dropped off. Two fellows spent 45 minutes to install. I had to ask them to inspect areas that were stated in work order. Either these installers get paid an astronomical rate or this ridge vent must be made of platinum. Should have asked what their per hour rate was. Will admit I called three companies from Angie's list and this is the only one to come and give an estimate.

Description of Work: Removed old shingles and replaced w/new. The first rep w/spoke with/apparently ended up w/a medical problem and our project got lost in the shuffle. However, once this became clear, the company did a great job of fitting us into their schedule. All contact w/them was professional and friendly. The onsite supervisor was fantastic.

Description of Work: I called the Roofing Guys after we lost shingles fom a fall windstorm. He came the same day and by the next day his crew repaired the damaged roof and gave us an estimate to replace the entire roof. After contacting other companies, we decided to go with the Roofing Guys and Mike said he would give us a discount because he did the simple repair work. Great! The crew arrived (WOW) and it was a well-oiled machine. Rain. They worked. Wind. They worked. They started early in the morning and continued till dark. They had two guys whose only job was picking up trash and nails, hauling cans of trash UP THE HILL, and carting everything away at the end of both days. Another two guys just ran the nailing gun. Another two hauled shingles and supplies up ladders. A MACHINE! Yes, in two days our entire roof was done. Our house has MANY levels, it is on a steep incline, with a difficult driveway access, and nasty weather (did I mention the rain and wind?). When they removed the old shingles, some pieces dropped and damaged the siding. We had previous damage to siding from ice dams. When I pointed out the damage from the shingle removal, Mike immediately said he would replace the siding his crew damaged AND the siding they did not damage. We already had extra siding and he replaced all siding he found damaged, even though it was not their fault. They also replaced a skylight, took down and re-mounted gutters, painted a chimney pipe to match the roof.

+ 0 moreThis whole Experience was superb from start to finish. Called for quote,Mike Flynn the owner called me right back stating he was in the area and will be over with in the hour. I had quote in hand in 2 hrs. What I liked is he use an Ipad did every thing on that and handed me a print out right then. After checking other company's, the roofing guys seemed the one to choose. They came with a crew of 15 men did all work plus they did a lot of little thing to make everything come together at no extra cost. Mike stating I just felt those thing needed to be done so no big deal. They stared at 8 and were done and gone by 5. And you would have never known anything was ever done except the good looking new roof. They had a little hitch being that the town was also re-surfing the street at exactly the same time so when the delivery truck came with the roofing shingle and they had to put them across the street. So each bundle had to be carried across the street over the freshly put asphalt.. Owner Mike said hey it is what it is we will get it done. The Roofing Guys was very professional and had very good work ethics. I would not hesitate in using them again or recommending to others.

+ -1 moreI obtained quotes from 5 Contractors to replace the shingles on our main and garage roofs and to install insulated flexible duct from two bathroom fans to new roof vents.. From those quotes I picked the material and way I wanted to have the roof shingles replaced and included such in a specification. I sent my specification to the 3 lowest Contractor quotes to re-quote to me. The lowest bidder was ?The Roofing Guys.? Mike Flynn, the Owner, stated the job would be done in a day. Mike and his crew (14 men) arrived at the designated time. They were very courteous. Their work was very satisfactory. They replaced some defective sheets of plywood included in their original quote. They took extra time to protect our landscaping (flowers, bushes, etc) and siding/windows. When they left the site the area around our home and driveway was cleaner than when they arrived. They finished in one day. There were no extra costs. Two of our neighbors were impressed with the way they worked and the finish job. I would recommend this company for any residential roofing job. + -1 moreCame out for an estimate on a garage & porch roof. Explained everything in estimate, and gave us an actual written estimate for us to hang on to. Sent in signed estimate one week later, and scheduled work for a few days after that. The guys were on time, very professional and cleaned up after themselves. There was work happening on our street that day, and they were very professional with the National Grid guys, moving their trucks so they could do their work too. Finished the job in 6 hours or so, and gave us an estimate on the rest of our roof. Estimate was easily $1000 less than 4 other estimates we had. I would definitely hire these guys again.
Description of Work: Fixed the back of our garage roof, and a porch roof that is attached. Very professional and took time to explain materials, labor, and costs of fixing our roof. Explained every part of written estimate and called a few days after to see if they could add us to their schedule.

+ -1 moreArrived 10 minutes early and promptly began setting sheets of plywood against all house walls and then proceeding to fasten large blue tarps to roof edges to prep for stripping of old roof materials. Roof was stripped, deteriorated plywood replaced and dry roofing completed within 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Stripped materials cleaned up and plywood sheets and tarps removed. A quick break (20 min) and then the crew began shingling. There were a total of 14 guys working on the roof and cleaning up around the house. The crew seemed to work very well together and they seem to have it down to a very efficient system. Mike was all over, ensuring that each crew had whatever they needed to keep the workflow smooth and uninterrupted. Very professional and impressive as to their approach for this project.
Description of Work: Removed all existing roofing materials, replaced deteriorated plywood, installed new drip and rake edge and installed new waterproof membrane, roofing felt and asphalt shingles with ridge vent. Cleaned up yard, deck, porch and driveway and hauled away all removed materials.

Description of Work: REMOVED SHINGLES RIGHT DOWN AND INCLUDING THE PLYWOOD. REPLACED WITH NEW PLYWOOD, FELT PAPER, FIRE AND ICE AND SHINGLES. ALSO INSTALLED 2 ADDITIONAL VENTS FOR BETTER AIR CIRCULATION. THEY WERE PROMPTLY ON TIME DAY OF INSTALLATION AND THE OWNER WAS ON SITE THE ENTIRE TIME. THEY COVERED ANY SHUBBERY TO PREVENT DAMAGE AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEY WERE DONE EXTREMELY WELL. DID NOT FIND ONE NAIL IN THE YARD FROM THE REMOVAL OF THE OLD ROOF AFTER THE CLEANUP. THE ENTIRE TEAM OF WORKERS WERE VERY PLEASANT, RESPECTFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY DID A COMPLETE INSPECTION AFTER ALL WORK WAS DONE TO BE SURE IT WAS DONE PROPERLY AND UP TO HIS STANDARD OF EXCELLENT WORK. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!! THANKS MIKE AND TO YOUR TEAM OF WORKERS FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!!

The experience was uneventful except a nail fell in my neighbor's yard and she got a flat tire from it. She was upset but the company went over and paid to have the tire replaced, so they made good on it.
Description of Work: The Roofing Guys installed a new roof on an income property of mine. It was a small job with a tear off and a replacement.

Unlike others, Mike took the time to explain what he would be doing and why he would doing it that way. They did the roof in one day. The roof looks great, the area was cleaned up after they were done, and Mike checked back to make sure we were happy with the work. I am very satisfied with the job.
Description of Work: The Roofing Guys installed a new roof including tearing off the old roof and replacing several sheets of plywood. Guttering was installed over the front and back porches.

We hired them, they were on-time, were very professional, and did excellent work. I would recommend these folks to everyone. I love using small local businesses, especially ones that excel! I will be doing a larger project with them in the future. A++++
Description of Work: They replaced a ridge vent, replaced shingles (removed older ones from the back and put on the front, and put new ones on the back), this made one unable to notice from the front of the house that any work was done! They also reattached some baffles that had fallen down in the attic and did a full inspection.
