I purchased the 2 hour special since I was putting my house on the market and had several projects that required a few hours of time. I reached out to the service provider but was informed that I'd have to send a photo of the work I wanted done or travel to evaluate the project would use part of the 2 hours. I had work I wanted done pretty quickly but they were scheduling a few weeks out. I sent photos but was informed that they were not able to get the photos through the Angie's List email communication so they asked if I could send it to a private email. I sent the photos but then was informed the work couldn't be done in the time frame I needed. I attempted to contact the provider again at a later date for another project or two but again ran into the email difficulties. I was swamped trying to get my house ready for the market and trying to coordinate with the service provider was just too complicated. Eventually I ran out of time since the special had a time limit (I believe 8 months) so I lost the entire $75. I wouldn't do it again.

Did not use service. Magic was wonderful during estimate process. He had many good suggestions and was able to spot where future problems might occur and how I could fix them myself or arrange to have him do it. Very polite and professional. Diane was initially polite, but kept mentioning the "stressed" condition of our home. I explained to her that we have a child with bipolar disorder(who regularly trashes our home in her rages) and that I have a difficult time putting the house back together and then keeping up with the things that regularly need to be done. It felt like when the "overweight" patient goes to the doctor. He/she knows they are overweight but the doctor feels the need to say "you Know, you are really overweight. You should think about doing something about that". In the next couple of weeks, we had some increased difficulty with our daughter requiring medication changes and stabilization so I was not able to schedule the work to be done. When I did call to schedule and I reminded Diane what work needed to be done she again made reference to our "stressed" home. After thinking about the situation a bit more, I decided against using their service. Yes, I lost my money, but I was asking for help to improve my situation ( my "stressed" home). I really did not want to be judged in my own home. Life is difficult enough.

I'm pleased with the quality work done by Magic and Diane. They are perfectionists and don't settle for so-so. Magic suggested many home improvements I could do myself to save money. They are honest, hard working, patient and very fun to talk with. I asked them to give me quotes for other house projects.

They do very professional work. They were organized to do the work in a neat ,time efficient fashion. The job was done with good craftsmanship and the cost was very affordable. After they brought smiles and laughter to me and mother with their good nature. They work well like team players do. We had an old hanging light fixture in the kitchen for years and you could barely see a thing. Now we have a bright ceiling fan light and so we'll finally be seeing the real color of our toast in the morning. ( we had a dark kitchen). Its those little things that matter. The real expert work was taking out the old kitchen window in the back, where the cats had broken the pane of glass. It had ropes and wheels and now there's a new up and down vinyl window that is easy to open and close. They followed up on everything and made sure we were happy. We're on to the next list now! Not many people work so well and so hard for their customers. We're glad we found them.

TO START WITH- BUYER BEWARE!!! The work that was done at our home by these people has us sick to our stomachs....Our New door that we were so exited to have installed turned out to be a nightmare, they bent our $1500. Door, stripped our $139. Door lockset trying to force it in. The owner told his helper Tim to reuse old nails before using new ones. They left gaping wholes on both sides of the door sill. Which they cut into 3 peices to install, my list goes on forever. We've bent over backwards to try to resolve this with them but all we've gotten from them is excuses. We are now having the door fixed and reinstalled by another contractor. And have filed a small claim against them. I HAVE MANY PHOTOS TO SHARE TO SHOW YOU THERE WORK PLEASE FEEL TO ASK FOR THEM. They began the job on 9/23/2014 starting with the front entrance door. Majic and his helper Tim began by removing the front door, they then began the process of installing the New door and Sidelites. They could not get the door and Sidelites to fit in the whole that they made to accommodate the new door and Sidelites. At that point while Tim Held the door Majic began banging on the door to try and force the door into the opening thus wedgeing the door half in and half out of the opening. Majic then took a circular saw and cut the top of the New door frame and outer door frame to try to make the door fit. It still didn't so Majic again started banging on the door, at this point I spoke up and said that I didn't like the fact that he was hitting the foot with a hammer. He said it's ok and kept hammering, finally the door was forced in. Majic then sucured the door with screws, did some caulking, and the started installing the new lockstep which he tried to force in not straight and stripped the bolt, so a second hole hade to be cut and a bolt other than the one that came with the lockset had to be installed. This lockset cost over $139...our new door cost $1500.. Majic then stated he was done with the front door. However we had many issues with his work, what he caulked was done horribly, the door didn't close correctly, the door and Sidelites we're not straight. There was a lot of damage to the new door frame as well as the interior of or home. Everything looks terrible like it was done by a blind man.

I spoke with diane on the phone and I told her the problem I was having with my old toilet clogging up. She and Magic asked pertineent questions and made recommendations for the new one I should purchase. I let them know where I purchased it from and when it would be ready for pick up. They made an appointment, picked up the new toilet and arrived on time for the installation. The following day I called them back to let them know that there was water on the floor by the toilet. They again asked pertinent questions and we determined that it was most likely a valva that needed to be tightened. They set up a new appointment and came out to tighten the valve. There have been no further issues. They called back again to make sure everything was OK and to my satisfaction.

Wonderful work. They showed up on time, and were very quick and efficient. And very funny. Great pricing, too. Support our handy-women and men!

Magic does excellent work and follows through to make sure everything is done well and completely. He works in a timely manner and he makes sure customer understands every detail. He also notices things that may need repair in future but doesn't try to "sell" unnecessary repairs. His price is reasonable and his work is perfect. Highly recommend.

Installation of new kitchen faucet was a breeze and Magic double checked for any leaks. Replaced 40 year old thermostat with heat only thermostat. Magic did it in the time it would have taken me to read the instructions. I'm going to have Magic come back and replace the old thermostat wire that goes to the furnace.The heat grate replacement took some work. The old grate was a gravity, hopper style grate and I could find one anywhere that matched it's dimensions. Magic and Kristen re-framed the opening and installed a newer, more modern grate. It was part of the deal that I would do the final decorative touches. This is not the first time I've used His and Her's Fix-it. They helped me transform a dining room with 5 layers of wallpaper and which I hadn't used in years. Now it's a room I'm proud of. With an older house, there's always work to do and I wouldn't hesitate to hire His and Her's Fix-it to do the work, in fact that's my plan!!

They completed the job on time and under budget! The work was very well done - very heavy duty - no cutting corners. They used solid materials and heavy duty fasteners. This did the job EXACTLY how we specified. They cleaned up nicely and came back to ensure all was working as specified. And it was. The size of the new door was heavier than I anticipated so they installed a very heavy duty roller to the bottom of the door and that made the door so easy to operate! Diane and Magic. ( the his and hers of this company) were easy to work with. I found it much easier to work with owners vs the larger contractor companies I have dealt with in the past, and without the larger company overhead their price was much better. His and Hers is about customer satisfaction, high quality and good pricing. They did a great job for us!

They had many helpful suggestions and worked very hard and stayed in contact with us throughout the process.

They are being deceptive and it worries me that they will do this to other people around here.

This couple are very interested in pleasing their customers and to that end they are careful not to do or recommend unnecessary work. My tub drain is non-standard and thus could not be fitted with one of those new pop-up stoppers and I wanted it replaced. However after being advised that the fix could result in chipped ceramic for little benefit - I opted for another solution. This was thoughtful. I am an advanced do-it-your selfer and thus recognize good advice. You may not be, and if so, you should feel free to put your trust in Diane and Magic.

Awful - worst quality I have ever seen from a contractor. Previously used boards with nail holes were used for the finish framing in spite of my having new ones available, wiring was not hooked up. repair of hardwood floor was done very poorly, doors were hung unevenly so that they did not meet the frame squarely, face framing was not plumb/square. The only reason price is a C is that I was given a substantial discount upon complaining. I had initially indicated that I would moderate my review until I kept discovering more and more faults. Also, neither Magic (his real name) nor his wife who does the business end have adequate communication skills. Magic is French-Canadian but the problem is more him being unwilling to listen to the customer. His wife has a very odd, unclear way of expressing things, especially in writing. As an update after reading the provider's response: The provider is simply not telling the truth. I was clear in my communication, the provider was not, and no amount of "crookedness" can explain the doors being out of line in 3 different ways, nor the use of used lumber in final trim. I am not ignorant of building, merely had to save some time by contracting out the work. The statements about informing me of a crooked floor and what I asked for with the electrical are simply untrue. I was never informed of the former and in the latter case I said to run the wire up to the light fixture so I could install it - again an example of poor communication. I do not recall ever saying that the patch job on the floor "looked good" - and incidentally Magic had to use my miter saw and some other tools of mine to complete the work. By the time the project was nearing the end I just wanted Magic out of the house, so did not attempt to address issues that I knew he was unlikely to be able to address, and I did not discover what he had done to hide the problems with the doors until afterward. Magic is OK on small jobs for the most part but I am hardly the only person to have an awful experience when he has to do something more complicated.

Wow. Magic and Diane were great. First, they came on a Sunday in order to fit us in. Everything was done professionally and quickly. We started out with only three things to fix, but they did such a great job that we started adding items. I'm sure that they had better things to do on a Sunday, but were happy to complete everything in one visit. They explained everything and kept us informed as to costs before starting all items. They are our new "go to" people for jobs around the house.

I was not present during the installation of the stove hood nor the building of the microwave shelf, but, my husband said that they were great as usual. Magic and Diane worked together efficiently, neatly and with care. They purchased the stove hood at Home Depot at a great price. I told them what color I preferred and they purchased exactly what would look well with our kitchen. I did not see the hood until it was installed. It is so nice to not have to store hop in order to find the right item at the right price. Love, Love that! The shelf was built with quality wood and Diane made sure that they purchased stain to blend with our kitchen cabinets as well as giving it a finished and professional look. Loved the end result. Again we were very pleased with Diane and Magic's work in our home. We will continue to call on them for all services they can provide when necessary.

We had to order a custom made window due to the size of the window pane I wanted replaced in my bedroom. It took Home Depo 2 weeks to deliver and I was becoming "antsy". Diane was very responsive to me. She answered all my calls and ensured I knew she was on top of Home Depo to get the order in. When the window arrived, Diane called me and installed the window the same day. Her husband was GREAT! He talked about inexpensive ways to make my energy bill go down and we even discussed future projects. Both are very personable which is important to me when I am paying for a service. I really like these two and I am definitely using them again.

His and Hers arrived promptly and began work right away. It was obvious that they had a lot of experience and knew what they were doing. They answered questions and gave suggestions, and even allowed time for me to vacuum out the heat runs before installing the new grids! They were meticulous and did not take short cuts. I am very pleased with their work, highly recommend them, and absolutely would hire them again.

The couple came together, which was great for me as a single woman - it created a higher level of comfort as I was otherwise alone in my apartment, which was a pleasant surprise. I requested this provider come with very short notice, and was accommodated although my timeframe might have been perceived as unreasonable by other vendors. Lovely people, great job, I'd use them again and also refer them.

.The walls needed multiple areas spackled and the walls hadn't been painted in years so it took quite a bit of scraping. Painting the ceiling and walls both required 2 coats of paint. Magic also installed 4 basement windows. Magic and Diane weren't able to finish the job during a weekday so they came over on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend at no extra cost.....in fact it was Diane who asked if they could come over on Sunday. They worked within my budget and did a fine job. I plan to use them again for installation of 3 ceiling fans and to redo a dining room that has multiple layers of wallpaper. They work well together, are efficient, and very knowledgeable about household repairs.

I spoke with Diane and scheduled a consultation. She and Magic came and I explained what I needed done as I had purchased the 2hsr of work for 78.00. They also looked at several other things that either needed to be fixed right know or further down the road, I told them that I had a really tight budget and was looking for someone that could work with in my budget. I was glad to see that they wore more than willing to work with me. Diane explained all the services they offer and I plan on working with them on future projects.

We contacted His and Hers Fixits based on the high ratings they received on Angie's list, and set up a time to meet. They were prompt and quickly offered a cost-effective solution that was easily scalable if more work ended up being required. We scheduled a day for the work to be done. They arrived on time and were very considerate of our schedule. The job was finished in the time frame that had been proposed. The work was done thoroughly. Follow up was exemplary and timely given the need to wait for wet weather to test the results of the work, which were good. It was important to us to resolve the water entry quickly, which they did with a cost-effective and creative approach. I would recommend them and use them again.

Meticulous. VERY experienced. Very efficient. Very knowledgeable about a WIDE variety of household repairs!! I would DEFINITELY recommend HIS AND HERS FIX-ITS to anyone needing minor or major repairs to their home. I am planning on using them again to install some new basement windows, 2-3 ceiling fans, wall repair and repaint, and install new kitchen backsplash. Couldn't ask for nicer people!!!

Were very patient with me while I ran to get all the extra parts and things that were needed to complete the job. Followed up to make sure I was happy with the job too. I love my new sink and faucet.
