Jock of Expert Chimney called exactly when he said he would. Had crew there within 5 minutes. They did a very neat job, cleaned up after themselves were in and out very quickly.

It all went quickly and efficiently. Mike from Expert Chimney was very friendly and knowledgeable in answering questions.

Excellent communications and quality brick work! Jock was concerned with quality installation.

Comes in with rugs and tarps to cover all around the fireplace for cleaning. Went up to the roof to open the chimney and brush out. Comes back in cleans stove and leave the house cleaner than when hi came! Punctual and efficient and very courteous. Even left some replacement fireplace bricks at no charge. I have recommended Jock Rotella and Expert Chimney Servicesto many people. He has been coming to our house for years.

He helped me find a new stove and put it in for me. Everything he has done has been efficient and reliable. I would recommend his services to anyone. His prices are lower that most of the competition.

I approached this provider because of positive Angie's List reviews. They would not give an estimate for the repair unless I scheduled a $100 inspection (would have been $160 if it also needed cleaning). The estimate for the repair was $3800. Just to be safe I asked another company for a second (free) estimate. Their price for the same work (including roof flashing which Expert did not include) was $1250. You must get multiple estimates or you will get ripped off.

Ben and Mike did an excellent job, you can't tell the chimney was rebuilt. Before the rebuild I could lite the fireplace with one match and was worried it would change after the rebuild. But I've used it 5 time and only had to use 5 matches total to lite the fire. Great job guys. They were very professional and cleaned up every day. They also took great care to prevent roof damage.

This is the second time I have used this company. 1. Mike arrived exactly on time 2. He went about his work of the chimney cleaning without a speck of soot or dirt anywhere. 3. He is the only chimney sweep I have ever had that actually went on my roof to inspect the chimney. 4. He photographed the chimney flashing, explained what he found, and I had him repair it. 5. The man is behaves in a manner that clearly demonstrates his knowledge of the work he does.. 6. The next day the office called to make sure i was happy and to say thank you. Excellent Company

I appreciate the fact that he was so honest, he brought a helper and I am sure he had to pay him and yet he did not do any unnecessary work. I like honesty.

We've used Expert Chimney Services for a few years, once to fix the chimney and twice for cleaning. Calling to set up a time was easy, receptionist was very nice. They offer discounts during the summer (their off-season) and even though we'd just missed their deadline they gave us the discount. I don't recall the exact cost of the service, but it was only slightly more expensive than it had been two years ago and it seemed reasonable. The actual service was great - workman arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, was friendly and made no mess. And the owner always does a follow-up call to ensure we were satisfied with the work. A pleasant experience, and we will continue to use them for our chimney needs.

They weren't able to keep the first appointment because of time constraints - but called early so that I wasn't left waiting for them. Came on time for the rescheduled appointment. They were friendly and polite and the rooms were as clean when they left as when they arrived. They're now my chimney guys!

They did a great job. The technician was knowledgeable and friendly. I was worried about having to clean up after them, but they left the place cleaner than when they arrived. The one negative was that I asked them for a quote for some additional work when they were out there and I had a hard time getting the quote from them. It took several additional calls.

Jack Rotella was the owner and I heard about him through a friend. He came in an emergency, he came himself, and he was friendly.

I contacted this company based upon some shining references from friends. When I called, the office staff couldn't have been more helpful. I was able to get an appointment within one day The chimney sweep arrived on time. He was an older man who obviously had been doing this work for many years. He was organized and explained everything, and answered my questions, as he did the video inspection. I was most impressed with how clean this process was. Even though I could see soot coming down the chimney during the cleaning, not a bit escaped the vacuum hose in the fireplace. The day after the work was completed the office secretary called to follow up and ask if I was satisfied with the service.

The men who did the work arrived around 9:30 AM and completed the work mid to late afternoon. They placed a tarp over the top of the chimney to protect it and returned a few days later to remove the tarp. The older of the two men was very experienced and was the main source of communication. It was he who told me about the faux chimney flues which did nothing but allow rain inside the chimney, for which i was very thankful. They removed the scaffolding and cleaned up before leaving. I was not present when they returned to remove the tarp. The owner of the company did the first examination and priced the work. He communicated frequently with me regarding the time of installation and followup calls. He has been very friendly and on top of things, a pleasure to talk to.

A little bit of phone tag in the beginning but soon enough scheduled a time to have the chimney checked out. The representative was very helpful and answered all my questions as well as keeping the house clean as he worked and he was patient and kind with my nosy cats.

They are really great. Their office is a tiny bit disorganized. We had some miscommunication about what needed to be done, and I changed some things midway. They really tried, and in the end everything worked out really okay. Their work was superb.

Expert Chimney performed a chimney inspection and sweeping. They were called just a day before they showed up and gave me a 2 hour window as to when they would be there. They were on time and were very professional, they gave me pointers as to what I can do as a homeowner to monitor my chimney to make sure there are no immediate danger while burning and they pointed out what could be addressed on the chimney with no obligation to use them for there service. I did not have them do the extra work but when I do they will be called. The chimney inspector was very courteous and took his shoes off and made sure all his mess was cleaned as well.

There was a little difficulty with communication at the beginning of the process (the office may not be as well organized as the chimney business) but once the relationship was established, they were very responsive. I met or spoke with 4 employees and all impressed me as knowledgeable. Scaffolding was necessary which is one reason for the fairly high price, but I called several other contractors who never got back to me after seeing the job. The original estimate was $2500, but included dropping a chimney liner down to the basement, but when they could not do that, they dropped the price. Since there was hardly any chance that I would have known whether or not there was a liner in the chimney, I was impressed with their honesty, also that they did not keep my credit card number on file after I gave it to them for the deposit.

Everything went very well. I did decide to go in a different direction with my chimney repair so I did not end up using this company, but if I was going to go ahead with the project as planned, I would have used them.

We recently moved into an older house with a wood-burning fireplace. The fireplace was known to be missing a damper and needed some other work so I called to get an estimate. They said they'd first do a cleaning and then inspect the chimney. Scheduling was quick, easy and convenient. On the day of the service, the chimney sweep showed up within the given time window (but toward the end of the window) and went to work. Very polite, clean and as quiet as a chimney sweep can be, I suppose. Unfortunately our fireplace and chimney need a lot of work. The guy took photos to send back to the office and said they'd get back to me the following Monday with an estimate. I didn't hear back from them and called on Tuesday to get my estimate. We agreed that with such heavy work we'd try to schedule something next Spring.

I've been using Expert Chimney Services for about 10 years. They are prompt and professional. Schedule a time, and they'll be there on-time! Prices are quite reasonable. Work quality has always been excellent. Employees are always pleasant. They're my go to guys when the chimney needs cleaning or repair!
