Description of Work: Dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes. It is under warranty so I did not have to pay. The service man was very professional, answered any questions I had and did very good work. I would definitely call them again if I needed work done on my appliances

Description of Work: I spoke with someone at County Wide and described the grinding noise my washer was making. I said it sounded like the washer was shot. They said they had someone in the area, and he would be at my house in a few minutes. He walked in, took the front off my washer pronounced it dead and charged me $80.00. He had been in my house less than 3 minutes. I felt like County Wide's ATM. I called my neighbor who put me in touch with an independent appliance repairman. He said the grinding could only have been caused by one of two things, and both were irreparable. He said County Wide could have told me that over the phone. I called the manager of County Wide and told him what happened, and he told me that they are not allowed to "diagnose" over the phone, and they charge $80.00 just to step into your house. He cited "high overhead" as the reason for the exorbitant fee. I seriously wonder if they ever fix anything, or if their "business" really involves getting people to let them in their doors, and collecting $80.00. One way or the other, they are deceptive, and do not employ fair business practices. Never again.

Description of Work: they came to address a temperature issue in the refrigerator. There were 2 trips and the end result is not definitive.

Description of Work: I brought my New Danby Premier 70 pint Dehumidifier in for a concern I had with its operation. The dehumidifier would continue to cycle off on defrost every 5 to 10 minutes, in my basement, with temperatures in the low 60's F. I thought this was a defect in the dehumidimizer. The specifications note that the dehumidifier would operate down to 41 F. So I brought the dehumidifier in to County Wide Appliance to verify that the dehumidifier was operating as designed. It was under Warranty. So, there was no charge. The issue I had with the service is that I dropped it off for a technician to test and evaluate the dehumidifier, to complete in the next week or so. When I called to follow-up a week later, the testing or evaluation did not even begin. They called me an hour later to inform me that all was operating correctly. They tested the dehumidifier for an hour, at temperatures in the high 70's F. Yes, the dehumidifier will probably operate more effectively at higher temperatures like 78 F. That is not the conditions most dehumidifers and mine are run at. It was a waste of my time and energy to even bother to bring it down to this service company. They were useless. I picked up my dehumidifier and it continues to cycle on defrost. I guess this is how they are designed to operate. However, not my idea of a quality item. County Wide Appliance did not show any sense of care, competence, or quality of service. | |Sincerely, | |Lou
