great job

this company is great they came in and understood what the problem was right away. I just bought this house 2 months ago and i sometimes wonder why lol. I was thinking that its sewerage so its a big problem and going to cost alot of money. After looking at the situation he put my worries to ease and it was minor work. I highly recommend this company and i dont envy the work they do hehe.

With in an hour and a half of the time I called a service tech arrived as I was told . He brought an electric snake and for 30 minutes tried to clear the drain but could not. He told me something was blocking the drain that the snake couldn't clear. He told me,I would have to break the ceiling of my basement to gain access and take off the pipe to see what was blocking the drain. I asked if he had something else to try to clear the drain without braking the ceiling he said no. I chose not to break the ceiling ..I was charged 75.00 for a " service call" but my drain was not cleared. I called another plumber (not found on Angie's list)and explained my problem and what this tech told me ... The plumber arrived an hour after the last tech and cleared the drain in 10 minutes of arriving .with a different snake... I will not use this company again

Saul and Alex were here in a little over an hour after I called. They were able to determine that the drain line from the kitchen was filled with water - meaning the blockage was below it at its juncture with the main sewer line. They slowly drained off the water in the blocked pipe (there was a clean-out cap right there). After completely draining this line they then used their heavy-duty rooter (motorized snake/auger line) to clean out the line going back to the main vertical sewer line and then a good 80 feet or more past the basement floor/wall. I was extremely pleased with everything about them. Of all the providers I called, only Island Sewers (aka 5-B Construction Corp.) answered the phone live. All the others were "leave a message". I left four messages to four other providers. Only two called back, and by that time Island Sewer was already at my door step. They are from Staten Island, NY. While less than 20 miles from my home, the other providers were closer, but unfortunately, not as responsive. Also, their price was excellent, and quite honestly I don't even think any of the other providers could have done this well in overall responsiveness, professionalism, quality, price - you name it, I couldn't ask for anything more. Like Island Sewers asked me when I first got him on the line and told him where I lived - he asked "where are all the Jersey guys?" Good question. Only Island Sewer/5-B Construction Corp. came through.

The provider responded quickly to our phone call & was at our home within the one hour time that he promised. He quickly addressed the problem & resolved it without incident. He was clean, courteous & reasonably priced. We will definitely call him again if the need arises.

. Came home from work to a burst bathroom sink pipe and a watery mess. Found them on Google. They arrived within 20 minutes of my call. They were friendly and professional, and the fee was very reasonable, Within an hour, the pipe was replaced and everything was cleaned u in a snap. I'll definitely use this company again and refer them. Thanks, Island Sewers!

Called island sewers on a holiday (2/17) for a clogged shower drain and was expecting to make an appointment for the next day. To my surprise, Danny, answered the phone and told me not only did I not have to wait, he could have someone out to me in 1 hour. I was thrilled. Within 1 hour he had a plumber there and my shower was draining like new! I commend them for the prompt service that they provided. Will use island sewers again without a second thought. Thank you!

Professional, courteous, punctual and thorough. Saul arrived at our home on time, asked a ton of great questions, fixed our issue in short order and worked extremely clean. So happy with the service provided would highly recommend them for any plumbing need. We will be using them in the future for all plumbing work.

They removed my old kitchen faucet, and installed the new one I had purchased at home depot. They tested it thoroughly to ensure there were no leaks anywhere. They also fixed a leaky faucet in the bathroom shower. I found their price to be very reasonable compared to similar work by other plumbers in the past.

I was told that more cleaning needs to be done at extra cost which is probably true.

On a cold, icy Saturday morning I called about having a clogged shower that we could not clear by chemicals or by snaking it or using a plunger . Hani answered the phone promptly. He was professional and knowledgeable; he even apologized for my troubles. I had a repairman at the house within an hour. After several tries, he was not able to clear the clog by snaking it. He called Hani and they let me know what was going on. Hani wanted to come look at the job himself once he finished the job he was currently on. He came with Dennis about an hour later to look over the situation. The house is about 90 years old and has galvanized steel pipes. They believed that the T pipe between the bathroom sink and the bathtub was the problem but would not be able to know for sure until they looked. Instead of waiting until Monday, they offered to have Dennis and Sal come on Sunday to open up the ceiling and see exactly what the problem was. They made a whole in the kitchen ceiling to get at the pipe and the whole was much smaller than I expected it to be. They were correct in their assessment of the previous day about it being a blocked T pipe. It was an old galvanized steel T pipe without a curve (the kind used for plumbing). It was like the T pipe used on a fence, which is why the snake did not work. They cut out the pipe and replaced it with a curved PVC T pipe solving the problem. They were all very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and informative. On Sunday, Dennis let me know exactly what they intended to do before starting the job. Once they began, Dennis kept me apprised of everything that was happening and how the job was proceeding. They worked much faster than I expected. When they were done, they cleaned up everything and took the garbage (pieces of my ceiling) with them. I will call them next time I need a plumber and would definitely recommend them to others.

The sewers were snaked and water run to make sure the sewer pipe was clear

There was a clog in one of the main lines. Water from the kitchen sick was backing up into the sink in the basement. I was really worried it was something big. When I called they were available to come within the hour. I was not home and arranged for them to come between 5:00 and 5:30. Manny arrived at 5:00, he was very nice, professional, understanding of my anxiety and put me at ease immediately. He was able to clear the clogged drain rather quickly. Also he advised me on some preventative work I should do to avoid future problems. He is a nice man and very friendly. I will be calling him back in the near future to do some of the work he advised. I am so happy to now have a plumber I can rely on! Use this plumber!

Extremely professional and courteous plumber arrived quickly, explained what he was going to do and did it. Finished quickly. They even have a plumbing referral program, referred a few friends and will get a discount next time i need a plumber or any service!
