Joe and his crew were great to work with. Joe was thorough with explaining every detail of the work that needed to be done. He started by removing my old double entry doors and installing with double doors that i had purchased. He put new moldings in and stained the door to our preference using Cabot Spanish moss semi transparent. He replaced my doorbell and hardwired my ring so we didn’t have to keep recharging the battery. He scraped, caulked and repainted my porch ceiling. He painted one of my bathrooms, caulking all trim to ensure a smooth finish. In the basement, i had an old staircase that went from my first floor to basement that was on its last legs. Joe removed the staircase, door and wall that led to staircase to give us an open feel. He built a new staircase, Sheetrock, painted, pointed applies polyurethane to the brick that made up half the stairwell. He installed railings with spindles and painted them with semi gloss white and installed wainscoting board to cover sides of staircase to give it a finish grand look. Stairs were stained with the Cabot stain we used on entry doors. He used eggshell white on my walls and also installed a light fixture at the top of the stairwell. I pointed out an issue i found with a couple of cracked joists i found in my basement. Joe sistered both joints to stabilize them at no extra charge. Throughout the process joe was attentive to any of our need or concerns and was the consummate professional. Joe and his crew did a great job. I would recommend joe and plan on using him in the future.

My wife and I first hired Joe a few years ago to build us a custom cover for our old cast iron radiator , what he delivered EXCEEDED our expectations. We loved the work he did and how personable and honest he was we immediately hired him to reroof and repair our old shed and repair our porch that was falling apart. Then a year later it was to put a new floor down and full renovation of our powder room. This guy can do it all! Every time we have a new project Joe is our first thought and call , and in the years we have known him and the numerous projects he has handled for us we have never been disappointed. I couldn't recommend Joe more for any home improvement that you might have. *I dont have pics on me now but will upload some when I can*

Joe pays attention to every detail requested of him. He works around your schedule to get the job done. He is very honest and professional. He did a beautiful renovation of our attic space. Everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Project went great. Joe removed an interior wall connecting the dining room and kitchen, he also moved some electric, put casing around the new entrance way and made a custom saddle to transition between rooms. Joe is very knowledgeable on all aspects of construction and went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the final product. Will definitely be hiring Joe in the future for all my renovation needs. A good contractor with reasonable prices that stands by his word is hard to come by.

We needed a privacy fence installed on our backyard. Joseph met with us and provided several options that we could review against our budget and worked with us to find the right, affordable privacy solution. The results came out much better than we expected and we have a secure, well-made wooden privacy partition that makes us happy to use our patio again!

My husband and I had returned from a week's vacation to see a large part of our gutter had detached from our home and was in need of urgent and skillful replacement. We called up Joseph and he came when he said he would and worked to install the gutter back to operational efficiency. We thought that we would have to buy new guttering but Joseph assured us that he could repair the original gutter and install it as if it was brand new. He was fast and yet did not compromise. He cleaned up perfectly after and his pride in his work was exceptional. His work was of the highest standard. I was truly impressed and very grateful.

I was looking for a contractor to paint my kitchen cabinets. After seeing the wonderful job Joe did renovating my brother's bathroom I decided to give him a call. I couldn't be more pleased. Joe's professionalism and expertise was second to none. The care that Joe and his crew took to every detail to ensure my kitchen came out perfect was amazing. From day 1 he eased my concerns reassuring me that the finish product was going to be beautiful. Well he was right! The finish product is beyond words. He and his crew turned my old dingy kitchen to a bright modern one. Doing all this within my budget. I'm so pleased and seeing the work he did with my brother's bathroom, I would recommend him for any home improvements needs.

What a professional and highly competent experience. After getting about 4 estimates Joseph had no problem answering my questions such as when it would be done, how many people would be on the job and other typical home owner questions. His estimate was far lower than others who were not only insisting that it had to be done a certain way but seemed offended by any questions or desire to lock down some details. And the work itself was fantastic. The finish was first rate, his men tidied up beautifully and they started and finished when they said they would. They did not play money games after we had agreed on a price and they were all incredibly courteous. Joseph has been in the home improvement business for a long time and he deserves a lot of credit for maintaining a super attitude, a love of a job well done and a realistic attitude to the fee that should be charged. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I can't be more happier with the outcome of my bathroom. I called Joe after seeing the great reviews he has received. From day 1 Joe and his staff were impressive. Always on time, worked clean and very respective to my family. Their attention to detail was amazing. He was so helpful with choosing tile, paint and fixtures. He and his team were always available to answer any questions. They provided a schedule and updates daily. They worked so efficient that the job was finished ahead of schedule and we all know how important that is when a bathroom is being done. I couldn't be more happier with the finished results of my bathroom. I was so impressed with Joe and his team that I will be using him for all my home improvement needs. In fact I will be using him to renovate my kitchen. If you need any home improvement work no need to look any further than Joe and his team.

Reliable He keeps appointments and is on time! Accurate with scheduling and honest regarding commitments. 3. Renaissance We'll skilled in all trades. Has an artisans eye for detail.

Joe and his crew did a great job. I’ve hired contractors in the past that I had to stay on top of or they’d do things wrong but with Joe that wasn’t necessary. The one small thing I didn’t like he changed it right away without me saying a word really. I left him a new piece of molding and they knew I didn’t like how they “repaired” the original piece. I definitely recommend Joe and will be contacting him in the future.

It was evident that they took great pride in their work. They also went to great lengths to ensure that we were more than happy with the work they completed, which we were. Joseph came out to review the work to be done and give an estimate within a few days of my contacting him. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He looked at the job carefully and provided a detailed specification and gave me a written estimate within a day or two, which I accepted. He did the work exactly when he said he would, and he did a great job. The results are excellent. I will be asking him to do additional jobs.

This project was quite challenging, because the deck was not leveled. The deck boards went from high to low throughout the length of the yard so Joseph had his work cut out for him. This project had many unforeseen problems but Joseph and his team worked extremely hard and got the job done; it looks seamless. I would recommend Joseph because, he met my needs and was organized, explained the job in detail and cleaned up when they were done. I was truly happy that I made the right choice to hire this company. I would have no hesitation in hiring “Home Improvements by Joseph” again for my future projects. He demonstrates a positive “Can do Approach” throughout. For me this team is the A team!

I have to say I was very impressed from start to finish. They did a wonderful job and was completed on time despite dealing with the rain. Cleaned everything up when they were done. Would hire again!
