Every thing went exactly how Joseph said it would down to the time it would take. The gentlemen cleaned up everything every evening as they ended their day. The work came out amazing , every one was very professional. He is our go to person for our next home project.

An amazing experience beginning to end! Joe created a beautiful bedroom addition to our home. All the concerns with getting involved in a remodeling project were quickly put the rest by Joe and his wonderful team. He took the time to explain the process every step of the way and his workers were friendly, neat and thorough. I was almost sad to see them go! But thankfully, the job was done in a timely manner and with the type of attention to detail that you would hope for! Joeseph Romano provided me with a fair estimate, I do not live local so I gave him the keys to perform the work and hopef for the best. He was beyond professional, reliable and a very good craftsman. He sent me pictures of progress everyday, went to store many times to purchase additional items that he needed but I did not purchase. He laid out the money and I reimbursed him. Workmanship is top notch. I recommend Joseph for any work you may need around your house or Condo/Coop.

It went fantastic, all went well accordingly to plan. We had two bathrooms done and the entire interior of the house was painted. Everything went great and the job was done professionally. I would hire him for any future jobs without thinking twice. A true professional at his job.

Just finished a total renovation of my 3 story 100+ year old brownstone in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I found Home Improvement by Joseph on Angies List. After reading his reviews and talking to neighbors and family who recently had similar work done in the last few years, about their experiences with the contractors they used, my gut feeling was to use Home Improvement by Joseph. Joseph came and looked over the work that I needed to have done and with his experience made many great suggestions, which most of them I went along with, but Joseph is always willing to do things any way you ask him to. Joseph sent me his proposal which I was completely happy about and immediately accepted. Joseph started work promptly, Joseph showed up all the time that he said he would, Joseph never complained when unexpected obstacles popped up, as they do on a house of this age. He just would say “Don’t worry I’ll take care of it”. Joseph finished the whole house in what I thought was exceptionally fast time, his work was excellent, he was always in contact with me, I not once had to call Joseph to find out what was going on. Joseph turned out to be a man of High integrity, honesty and solid work ethics. I am very happy with my dealings with Joseph and now with my house.

Joe was the best Very helpful His work was perfect. He actually gave us a new ceiling, which was completely water damaged His work was so neat, that the taping does not show at all. As a bonus, one of our closet shelf’s collapsed n he worked with the broken wire shelf, reinforced it to the wall of the closet n it was good to go. I give him 5 plus n will recommend him with pleasure

Joe does amazing work. He is honest and takes pride in his projects. He built us a beautiful pergola with a deck and a customer fence. It came out better than we could have imagined. Joe is easy to work with and we highly recommend him for any job.

Iet me start by telling you about joe romano and the professionalism that he has. he walk me through everything before even starting to work always asking me if i was happy with anything that was going to be installed before taking it upon himself to make sure i was happy. The pergola left me speechless i was so impressed by the job very clean work they knew how to make any situation great especially that one day it was so cold but joe knew the job needed to be done and worked in the frezzing cold and rain to get it done i would recommend him and his company anytime for any work that needs to be done.

The job on the deck is only the first of many wonderful jobs that Joe and his team have done for me. When I had a cracked pipe, they rushed right over to fix it so that I wouldn’t have to replace my Sheetrock or carpet. He also installed motion detector lights on my house; they make me feel so much safer as a single mom. Joe and his guys are top notch, truly the best guys for any job.

I used Home Improvements by Joseph in the past and was so happy with his work, he was the first contractor I called when it came to remodeling the bathroom. Joseph and his crew did an excellent job just like before quick, clean, and perfect. The bathroom needed a complete overhaul Joseph outlined and explained exactly what needed to be done, he handled everything demolition, plumbing, electrical and tile professionally with absolutely no stress for my wife and I. The price was literally right on the money $11,000 and now we have a gorgeous new bathroom that my wife loves to show everyone who visits. It could have not gone any better. The job was finished on the day as promised. They were at my house at 8 AM everyday. They never left a mess for me to clean. They cleaned up everything everyday when they finished. They took out a pool that had a deck built around it and completed the 15x20 area with new treck deck that continued off of the treck deck I already had. They also built a new staircase and railings for me as well as reinforcing a part of my existing deck where I put a 650 pound wood burning brick pizza oven. They also replaced the skin on my sunsetter awning for me. Great work.

I just want to say that Joe was a pleasure to work with. From the moment I hired him he was professional. His work is neat and clean. He shows up when he said he would and he completed the job when he was supposed to. Its very hard to find reliable work these days but i can guarantee that Joe will complete the task and at top quality. I highly recommend!

Joe and his crew were great to work with. Joe was thorough with explaining every detail of the work that needed to be done. He started by removing my old double entry doors and installing with double doors that i had purchased. He put new moldings in and stained the door to our preference using Cabot Spanish moss semi transparent. He replaced my doorbell and hardwired my ring so we didn’t have to keep recharging the battery. He scraped, caulked and repainted my porch ceiling. He painted one of my bathrooms, caulking all trim to ensure a smooth finish. In the basement, i had an old staircase that went from my first floor to basement that was on its last legs. Joe removed the staircase, door and wall that led to staircase to give us an open feel. He built a new staircase, Sheetrock, painted, pointed applies polyurethane to the brick that made up half the stairwell. He installed railings with spindles and painted them with semi gloss white and installed wainscoting board to cover sides of staircase to give it a finish grand look. Stairs were stained with the Cabot stain we used on entry doors. He used eggshell white on my walls and also installed a light fixture at the top of the stairwell. I pointed out an issue i found with a couple of cracked joists i found in my basement. Joe sistered both joints to stabilize them at no extra charge. Throughout the process joe was attentive to any of our need or concerns and was the consummate professional. Joe and his crew did a great job. I would recommend joe and plan on using him in the future.
